This article is about a/an planet in the Power Rangers franchise. |
Zordnia[1] is a planet that is the origin of the Shogunzords. Years later, it served as the site of a battle for a much greater power during the events of Power Rangers Cosmic Fury.
History[]
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers[]
Sometime in the past, scrolls from the planet were transcribed detailing the existence of a set of "Lost Zords of Zordnia" and how to activate them, which eventually went into the possession of Finster.
Later, the Rangers add the new Zords, now known as their Shogunzords, to their arsenal.
Cosmic Fury[]
Bajillia Naire, the universe's wealthiest and most evil CEO, comes to Zordnia to exploit its resources. Instead, her company, Squid Ink Inc., discovers Lord Zedd, sealed away inside of a cosmic crystal. Recognizing the legendary warmonger, Bajillia has him released, eager to build her wealth through Zedd's intergalactic conquests.
Learning of Zedd's escape, the Morphin Masters bring the fallen Red Ranger Zayto back to life and call for the Dino Fury Rangers to fight alongside them on Zordnia. The Rangers arrive through a Cosmic Gateway, and find themselves joined by two veteran Rangers and researchers who had come to Zordnia for reasons of their own: Billy Cranston and Mick Kanic. The Rangers and Masters have initial success against Zedd's new army, but their luck runs dry quickly when Ollie Akana succumbs to a mind-corrupting poison. The now-evil Blue Ranger banishes Zayto across space with the Cosmic Gateway, and the evil scientist Scrozzle captures the Morphin Masters inside of his Master Captivator device.
Prior to his capture, the Red Master throws his staff to Javi Garcia and grants him a vision of the Altar of Zordnia. The remaining Rangers teleport there and discover that it is the resting place of the legendary Cosmic Fury Zords, which could grant them a badly needed advantage in their fight against Zedd and his allies. Javi activates the altar and summons the fleet of Zords, but the sheer energy of tapping directly into the Morphin Grid disintegrates Javi's entire right arm. Javi is taken to safety by Mick while Billy, Amelia Jones, Izzy Garcia, and Aiyon form a new Megazord to battle Ollie in a Squidrill. Amelia recaptures her brainwashed boyfriend and the Rangers return to Earth to plan their next move. TV STORY-Lightning Strikes
Months later, the team, now the Cosmic Fury Rangers, return to the Altar of Zordnia. Their hope is to once again access the Morphin Grid directly to safely dispose of the Master Captivator, reconfigured into a powerful weapon that will, if left unchecked, unleash a wave of pure evil that will eliminate all goodness from the universe forever. The redeemed Ollie theorizes that the key to safely accessing the altar is to share the danger, rather than letting one person face the full brunt alone. He is proven correct when all six Rangers grab ahold of Master Red's staff, opening the Grid and summoning the newest Morphin Master: their previously-fallen friend, Zayto. Using his new powers, Zayto brings his team into the Captivator, where they have their final confrontation with Lord Zedd's supercharged evil soul. TV STORY-The End
