Yousuke Ichikawa (市川 洋介 Ichikawa Yōsuke) is a Japanese retired actor and model who portrayed Heavenly Saint Sungel (MagiShine) in Mahou Sentai Magiranger.
Biography[]
After high-school, Ishikawa wanted to work at a television station in the engineering department. When he learned that he could get further in his career with a mathematics teaching credential, he decided to pursue it. In college, Ishikawa won a modeling audition and debuted as a model and actor. In 2005, Ishikawa starred in Magiranger and taught math to his co-stars on-set as well as having played a math tutor in the summer movie.
In 2008, Ishikawa announced he had retired from entertainment to pursue teaching math at a high-school full-time.[1]

- Since starting teaching, one of Ishikawa's former students was Yu Inaba
, who would later go on to star in Kamen Rider Drive.
