Yokai Yamabiko (妖怪ヤマビコ Yōkai Yamabiko) was a Minor Youkai serving the Kibaoni Army Corps. He was called "False Echo Yamabiko" in his introductory credit.
History[]
Created by Masakage Tsugomori when an infected Sealing Shuriken fuses with a payphone, Yamabiko is tasked to steal the Transformation Nin Shurikens from the Ninningers to render them powerless and unable to prevent Gengetsu Kibaoni's rebirth. While he successfully tricks Takaharu into giving him four Nin Shurikens, what was left is Fuka which he tries to trick Fuka ino giving but goes a little awry. As Fuka arrives, she discovers the whole trick after witnessing her siblings and, with Kinji's help, tries to attack Yamabiko to regain the stolen Shurikens. After unsuccessful pitfall techniques, she falls into one but uses it to reclaim back the Nin Shuriken, allowing the others to transform and finish Yamabiko with the combined Karakuri Hengen finisher. Yamabiko is grown by Kyuemon and tries to incapacitate the OtomoNins with his loud scream but gets countered by Wanmaru's howl and in the end killed for good by Shurikenjin's Splended Slash and BisonKing's Bison Wild Buster. Yamabiko is among ten Yokai who appear alongside Kyuemon and the Western Yokai Wolf Man to Kinji in his vision after he has transformed into the reincarnation of the Wolf Man, all bearing his face. When Kinji overcomes his fear and doubt, and thus his Yokai side, he uses the Demon Sword Urasame to vanquish all the illusionary Yokai and return to the real world. Yamabiko's likeness appears among a set of Yokai karuta cards assembled by Shurikenger for the Ninningers to analyze the Yokai they have defeated so far. Through the power of Yokai Fudagaeshi, Fuka, having been made to accidentally pick the wrong card, is sent to a pocket dimension within Yamabiko's card where she is forced to face him again. She is aided by Nagi, who follows her to the pocket dimension by deliberately picking the wrong card. Together, they destroy Yamabiko with their combined High Schooler Violent Slash attack, thus freeing them from the karuta card. TV STORY-Shinobi 43: The Legendary Ninja! Yokai Karuta Tactics
