"Thank you, Cosmo. We’re here to show those Earth ninjas who’s boss! I’m Wolvermean, thief of memories and leader of these fearsome warriors! As our fans know, our power comes from mystical ninja medallions that make us unbeatable! It takes a Ninja to destroy a ninja, and I get to go first!"

"Huh?! Uh! Whoa! Uh oh!"
―Wolvermean when faced with Calvin and Brody's Lion Fire Whiplash Strike and his final words before his initial defeat.[src]

"Can Earth Ninjas grow big too?"
―Wolvermean when being gigantified.[src]

"Curse you, Odius! You treacherous, wicked witch!"

Wolvermean’s Ninja Medallion.

Wolvermean was the Racoon dog/wolverine-themed leader of the Galactic Ninjas, “The Stealer Of Memories” and a contestant on the second season of Galaxy Warriors. He served as the main antagonist of the episodes "Attack of the Galactic Ninjas" and "Outfoxed."

History[]

The Galactic Ninjas are introduced by Cosmo Royale amidst much fanfare as they introduce themselves and their attributes. Wolvermean is the first to fight the Rangers and goes to Earth where he steals Hayley, Preston, Sarah, and Brody’s memories but Calvin and Levi trick him and get the memories back. He battles the Rangers with the Foxbots but is destroyed by Calvin’s Whiplash Slash and Lion Fire Red’s Lion Fire Slash (the attack collectively known as the Lion Fire Whiplash Strike). He gets gigantified by Cosmo but is defeated by the Ninja Steel Ultrazord after his laser attack fails. However, Wolvermean survives and changes back to normal size where he vows revenge before retreating. However, his medallion also survives and Madame Odius takes it whilst stating that it might come in handy. Tvicon TV STORY-Attack of the Galactic Ninjas

Wolvermean's Death.

When Wolvermean learns from Venoma that Odius is using the Ninja Medallions to power Foxatron, he is furious and demands to get his back. Odius however makes a deal with him, claiming that he'll get it back if he defeats the Rangers, with the catch being that he'll get destroyed by Foxatron as well if he fails to defeat them in two hours. He goes to Earth with Venoma, but after being defeated by the Five Ranger Ninja Strike, he retreated. He is later gigantified by Cosmo Royale offscreen and fights them in the Ninja Blaze Megazord but is easily pushed. Just when he was about to fight them again, the two hours are wasted, and Madame Odius' Foxatron stabs him in the back with its sword, saying that he had his chance and that it's her turn. Fatally wounded, Wolvermean curses Odius, calling her a treacherous, wicked witch before flailing onto his back and exploding.Tvicon TV STORY-Outfoxed

Personality[]

Wolvermean was a brash and arrogant leader who had a firm respect for his fellow ninjas and an excellent expert on ninjutsu such as camouflaging, hand to hand combat, and strategy. Although he did not tolerate losing, he respected those who had fought him and, whenever a fellow Galactic Ninja has made a mistake, he often helped them.  After finding out about Odius' plans with the medallions from Venoma, Wolvermean showed that he did not like to be tricked and would do anything to get his fellow ninjas' possessions back. Despite being weakened, he was resilient and persistent with getting back at the Rangers for snuffing out his team and beating him.  When Odius betrayed him, he utterly despised her to the point of calling her a "treacherous wicked witch" before his destruction.

Powers and Abilities[]

Powers[]

  • Memory Stealing: Wolvermean's main ability where he could steal memories in the form of different colored orbs by putting his hand into the back of his targets' heads. This could only be done with his Ninja Medallion.
  • Teleportation: Wolvermean could teleport to any location at will in a large yellow-green energy beam.

Abilities[]

  • Hand to Hand Combat: In the episode "Attack of the Galactic Ninjas", Wolvermean easily overpowered Calvin in a hand to hand duel.
  • Ninja Skills: Being the leader of the Galactic Ninjas, Wolvermean possessed many advanced ninja skills.
    • Ninja Camouflage: Wolvermean was able to blend with his surroundings as seen when he revealed himself behind Preston and Hayley.
    • Ninja Scarecrow: Shown after Wolvermean was struck in the chest by Calvin.
    • Ninja Clone Technique: Wolvermean could do a Japanese style hand gesture and generate dozens of clones of himself to fight for him.
  • Strength: As the leader of the Galactic Ninjas, Wolvermean was the strongest of the group.
  • Durability: Wolvermean survived the Ninja Ultra Strike and even the Ninja Ultrazord Blast Final Attack without a scratch. When fighting the Rangers alongside Venoma, he was shot multiple times in the head by Hayley's Ninja Blaster but suffered no injury.
  • Foxbot Summoning: Wolvermean could summon a squad of Foxbots to aid him in combat.

Weaknesses[]

to be added

Arsenal[]

  • Axe with Shield and Chain: Wolvermean had a small axe and a bladed shield connected to a chain for combat. These were able to block multiple arrows launched from Sarah's Hyper Arrow Blast.
    • Chain Throw-Wolvermean could use the chain connecting both weapons to throw any of them around as a projectile weapon.
    • Lightning Laser: Wolvermean could fire a purple lightning-like laser from the center of his shield.
    • Deflection: Wolvermean can deflect attacks with his shield.
  • Sword: Like all members of the Galactic Ninjas, Wolvermean had a sword on his back that was similar to the ones used by the Rangers although he never actually used it.
  • Ninja Medallion: Like all Galactic Ninjas, Wolvermean had a medallion to boost his power and granted him the ability to steal memories, but after his defeat at the hands of the Ninja Ultrazord, Madame Odius claimed it as her own but it was destroyed as part of the Foxatron.
  • Bag: Wolvermean had a small red bag in his possession where he stores all the memories he stole.

Behind the Scenes[]

Portrayal[]

Design[]

  • Like Artistmole, Wolvermean suffered from another error of being named and themed after a wrong species since his Sentai counterpart, like Artistmole's Sentai counterpart, was based on a Mujina.
    • However, it could be considered accurate because Wolverines and Badgers are both part of the Mustelidae family.

Etymology[]

  • His name was a combination of Wolverine and mean.

Notes[]

  • While he was the leader of the Galactic Ninjas, Wolvermean's Sentai counterpart was not the leader of the Izayoi Way Ninja Army Corps. Madame Odius's counterpart was.
  • In Ninninger, Foxatron's debut occured after Wolvermean's defeat instead of Rygore's.
  • Wolvermean was the only monster to be destroyed by Odius.
  • Wolvermean was the third Galactic Ninja to be destroyed and the only Galactic Ninja to be destroyed by Odius.
