Wish Star is a Tanabata-themed outlaw serving Sledge and is the primary villain of the episode "Wishing for a Hero" which is the first part of the two-part season finale episode of Power Rangers Dino Charge.
History[]
Wish Star is sent by Sledge to obtain the Purple Energem by distracting the Rangers with wish cards that he enchants, making their wishes come true terribly.
He first encounters Fury at a construction site where he was watching the Rangers. Fury was about to send Wish Star back to jail so that he can take the Purple Energem, but Wish Star used his Wishing Cards to freeze Fury in place (with the card reading "Fury, Freeze!"), allowing him to escape before Fury could catch him.
He later came across a fortune teller and gets an idea of cursing the Rangers' wishing cards. Wish Star is later encountered by Tyler, who accidentally runs into him after he runs after a man who looks like his father, and did battle with him. He had the upper hand and was about to strike the Red Ranger down, but before he could, Shelby comes in and blasts Wish Star with her Dino Charge Morpher, causing him to run away.
He later returns and blasts both Kendall, Heckyl, and the Rangers before Heckyl could obtain the Purple Energem and snags it, which cause Heckyl to run away. Unfortunately, Fury comes in with a wishing card that says "Explode!", for which he uses on Wish Star, causing explosions to appear and make Wish Star drop the Energem, which Fury collects before heading back to Sledge's ship.
Afterwards, the Rangers morph and do battle with Wish Star, who had the upper hand thanks to his Wishing Cards, but Koda was able to use his Stego Shield to deflect his staff's bamboo blast. With the Triple Spike's Dino Pierce and the T-Rex Chopper's Dino Blast, they were able to do major harm on Wish Star and with the Dino Spike Charger Final Strike, defeating him.
Sledge later had Wish Star enlarged with the Magna Beam, and the Rangers summoned their Zords and formed the Dino Charge Megazord's Ankylo-Pachy formation to take on Wish Star. They had the upper hand at first, but Wish Star summons two Vivizords to hold down the Megazord although they were easily dispatched by the Ptera Zord's Ptera Lighting Blitz, allowing the Megazord to break free and push back the Vivizords back at Wish Star. With the Dino Charge Megazord's Pachy Zord Wrecking Ball Final Strike, both Wish Star and the two Vivizords were destroyed once and for all.

Behind the Scenes[]

- Wish Star is voiced by Ross Girven.
Design[]
Wish Star has a very humanoid-like design and is covered in vines.
Etymology[]
- Wish Star's name comes from the term of a type of Star that grants Wishes, a Wishing Star.
Notes[]
- While Wish Star is not the final monster of Power Rangers Dino Charge, he is the final original monster to be fought by the Rangers, as the next and final monster of the show, Greenzilla, was adapted from the first form used by Deboth, the main antagonist of the Power Rangers Dino Charge's Super Sentai counterpart and is also Sledge's Super Sentai counterpart.
- Wish Star is also the final monster of the season in the sense that he would never appear in another episode. All other monsters would later reappear in episode 15 of the Power Rangers Dino Super Charge series Wings of Danger and the Greenzillas would later return in both the first and third/final part of the three-part series finale episode, cameoing as eggs in The Rangers Rock! and properly in Edge of Extinction.
- Wish Star is the first monster in the Power Rangers Dino Charge series to have a more humanoid face, all of the other monsters in the series previously had a more monstrous looking face.
- Wish Star was seen in the second and final part of the two-part season final episode of Power Rangers Dino Charge One More Energem. He and the other reanimated monsters that were seen in One More Energem were destroyed in the ship crash.
