This article is about a/an episode in Power Rangers Turbo, the third season in the Zordon Era .

Weight and See is the eleventh episode of Power Rangers Turbo.

Synopsis[]

Kat is made to believe she is overweight, and begins a dangerous anorexic habit. Numbor makes her light as air, and she can't keep her feet on the ground.

Plot[]

Elgar and Rygog argue about how to steer Divatox's submarine, resulting in them crashing. Porto informs Divatox they've crashed into the Angel Grove cliffs. Infuriated, Divatox declares that she's going to blow the Power Rangers out of the water.

Kat is among a group of girls performing a dance, with Tanya there to support her. Kat tries to congratulate another girl, Myrtle, who believes the audition is only a formality because she always gets the lead role and snipes about Kat's build. The troupe's leader, Madame DuBois, congratulates Kat and announces she will have the lead role. Myrtle again makes rude remarks about Kat, saying she'll be bigger in the role than usual.

Adam is helping Justin set up some tide markers on the beach for his science homework (with them both considering the number of pretty girls present an added incentive). Rygog reports their presence to Divatox, who says to send a group of Piranhatrons after them. The Piranhatrons arrive led by a new monster, Numbor, who boasts that he can change anything with a quantifiable amount, which he demonstrates by increasing the number of Piranhatrons present. He teleports away, leaving Adam and Justin to battle the Piranhatrons. After defeating them, they realise the tide is coming in faster than usual.

Tommy and Tanya are eating at the youth club but Kat refuses to eat anything, saying she needs to stay thin for the dance, despite Tanya trying to argue she needs the food for energy. Divatox spies on them. Kat ends up leaving with Tommy and Tanya following. Bulk and Skull go to help themselves to the group's leftovers, also chewing on Divatox's periscope. Stone comes along just in time for Divatox to withdraw the periscope and cause the drink to splash him in the eye.

Since Angel Grove will be flooded in a matter of hours, Divatox tells Numbor to plant a detonator to distract the Rangers and also have fun with Kat. Numbor confronts Kat, who is feeling hungry, and zaps her with his staff before teleporting away. Tommy and Tanya arrive and help her to her feet, only to be left hanging onto her as she starts to float away and is blown by the wind.

Adam and Justin join Tommy and Tanya at the Power Chamber and they compare notes on Numbor. Kat is floating above them. Alpha draws their attention to a screen where Numbor is planting a detonator on the beach. Tommy asks Dimitria to help Kat, but Dimitria suggests Kat is the best person to help herself. The other four Rangers morph and head to the beach to tackle Numbor. One by one, Adam, Tommy and Tanya are zapped with his staff and gain weight, sinking into the sand and unable to move. Justin finds the detonator but Numbor causes him to float.

Dimitria asks Kat whether what's on the outside or the inside is most important. Kat accepts that what she looks like doesn't matter and the important thing is helping her friends. Her weight returns to normal and she morphs to join the others, who also return to normal as she fights and defeats Numbor. Divatox has torpedoes launched to grow Numbor to giant size. The Rangers summon the Turbo Megazord. Numbor uses his powers to turn a tower into a rock launcher and blast them with a giant inflatable duck. Tommy lets Kat summon the Turbo Megazord Sabre and they finish Numbor off with a spinout. Divatox rants to Elgar and Porto about the lack of useful help. Justin leads the other Rangers to the detonator, which Kat destroys with her blaster.

Later, Kat gives her performance in the ballet with Tommy, Tanya and Stone among the appreciative audience. Myrtle is left sulking in the background as Madame DuBois congratulates Kat on her performance.
