Etymology

• The villain’s name is a combination of words starting with waru (悪 lit. bad or bad person, waru) and Wild and his last name being based on “spindle”, a suspension car part that connects the wheels to the control arms that steer them. The name could also come from the Wanyūdō, a yokai that is a head on a flaming wheel.
• The name could also be an anagram of Wild Speed (ワイルドスピード, Wairudo Supīdo), the Japanese release title of the Fast & Furious film series.
