This article is about a/an monster in the Power Rangers comic sub-franchise by Boom! Studios. |
Warbunny is a warrior rabbit monster who served as the antagonist for the Mighty Morphin team in Issues 22 and 23 of Go Go Power Rangers.
History[]
Zack and Trini were volunteering at the local Angel Grove Volunteer Center taking care of the kids. This included the center's pet bunny rabbit, Mr. Loppsy. Meanwhile on the Moon, Lord Zedd was explaining to Finster why he transforms his enemies' belongings into nightmares. His reasoning was that if you take something your enemy loves and turn it against them, you win even when you lose. As a result, Squatt snuck into the volunteer center while the kids and rangers were playing outside and turned Mr. Loppsy into the warrior rabbit monster, Warbunny. Kimberly and Billy came to help fight the monster, but they were struggling without Jason. He is then shown incapacitated from his encounter with the Blue Emissary and overwhelmed with red morphin grid energy coming from his eyes. COMIC STORY- Go Go Power Rangers Issue 22
With Jason not responding, they were forced to fight Warbunny on their own. As the fight went into downtown Angel Grove, Warbunny grew to giant size. The four rangers summoned the Thunderzords but were forced to fight him without forming the Thunder Megazord since Jason was unavailable. After the Blue Emissary returned Jason's memories of Lord Drakkon and the events of Shattered Grid, he regained his faculties to respond to Alpha's call and join the Zord fight in time to return Mr. Loppsy to his original form. Personality[]
Warbunny is bitter and angry from being imprisoned in his cage at the Volunteer Center as Mr. Loppsy and treated as simply a plaything. He has a strong warrior spirit and is determined to prove it to his enemies by getting his revenge on his captors.

Behind the Scenes[]
Design[]
Warbunny seems to be a parody Arnold Schwarzenegger, specifically his role as Conan the Barbarian from the 1982 film of the same name. This is supported by the fact that he does a partial quote of a famous line from the film: “Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women”.
