History[]
Timeranger[]
The V-Rex was lost in a time experiment and later emerged in the 21st century where the Timerangers were. After recovering the V-Commander, the V-Rex's control device, and becoming TimeFire, Naoto Takizawa gained control of the V-Rex shortly afterwards, using the command "Go, V-Rex!" to summon V-Rex from the forest. The V-Rex's armaments are the Rex Laser (レックスレーザー Rekkusu Rēzā) and Max Burning (マックスバーニング Makkusu Bāningu).
As said by Tac, the V-Rex is a sentient machine. It has a self-repair system that kicks in when damaged and puts it in stasis for 24 hours. TV STORY-Case File 29: The Fiery New Warrior
By the command of "Reverse Formation, V-Rex!", it can return to its dinosaur form from V-Rex Robo. Near the finale, it was revealed that when the V-Rex and Neo-Crisis's power sources came in contact, they would create a timepulse that would take out bits of the world. Later, after Naoto died, Sion was able to modify the DV-Defender in order for Tatsuya Asami to use the DV-Vulcan to alter the V-Rex's Lambda 2000 into Zeta-3 enabling for Tatsuya to destroy Neo-Crisis without endangering the world.
Gaoranger vs. Super Sentai[]
Years later, V-Rex appeared as part of an army of robots, animals, jets, machines and vehicles belonging to the first 25 red heroes. As anticipated by Sokichi Banba, they were led by Akira Shinmei and Chief Counsellor Naoyuki Miura to help fight Lost Highness Rakushaasa. TV STORY-Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger vs. Super Sentai
Super Hero Taisen Z[]
V-Rex was part of a group of Tyrannosaurus Mecha manifestations which appeared around the Gabutyra head of Kyoryuzin as its Miracle Combination prepared the Zyuden Brave Strike End Rider Kick attack which destroyed Demon King Psycho. - ―formation announcement[src]
Under the command "Voice Formation! V-Rex Robo!", V-Rex assumes the humanoid V-Rex Robo (ブイレックスロボ Bui Rekkusu Robo) form. In this form, V-Rex Robo attacks with the Revolver Missiles (リボルバーミサイル Riborubā Misairu) fired from its right hand and the Rex Punch (レックスパンチ Rekkusu Panchi) where it fires its left hand at its opponent. V-Rex Robo's finisher that allows it to recapture Londerz Prisoners is the Max Blizzard (マックスブリザード Makkusu Burizādo), dual beams of freezing energy fired from its shoulders. Its suit actor was Yasuhiro Takeuchi.
Appearances: Timeranger Episodes 30-37, 39-44, 46-48
Alternate Formations[]
Riding Time Robo[]
TimeRobo Alpha can ride on the V-Rex's back, forming "Riding Time Robo," which was used to defeat the G-Zord. Once in Timeranger vs. GoGoFive to defeat PierreBori, the GoGoFive gave the energy from the Victory Robo's Victory Prominence attack to TimeRobo Alpha's Space-Time Sword to create the Pressure Prominence (プレッシャープロミネンス Puresshā Purominensu) attack, which enabled the Timerangers to kill the Spell-Master Pierre and recapture Boribaru as Riding TimeRobo.
