At the Youth Center, Billy, Tanya and Rocky went to sit down to watch her perform. After the performance, the guys were impressed with her, and they didn't know that Penny was blind. They went over to talk to her, and they told her how impressed they were. Billy and Rocky wanted to know who taught her martial arts and Penny said that her father did. After her stuff fell out of her bag, the guys wanted to help, but Penny said that she doesn't need their help and that it's a problem for her and after she walked away in a hurry, Tanya wanted to know what was that all about and Rocky said that he has no idea.

Meanwhile at the Machine Moon Base, King Mondo asked what's good is it to keep making Cogs if the Rangers turn them into scrap metal and he called the process worthless. He was sick and tired of wasting valuable materials on robots that always end up as junk. Klank said that he and Orbus has a plan that won't use up any new materials and King Mondo told them to elaborate, and Klank said that it's a lovely idea and the plan begins at their component dump. Orbus explains that they're using all parts to make a whole new robot and he reveals Defector. King Mondo told Klank that their plan is clever and asked them what makes Defector better than the junk it was created from, and Klank said that it is all in the way they plan to use him. Orbus explains once more that they'll make Defector go undercover and he'll gain the Rangers' trust and lure them to a place where they'll be able to destroy them, and King Mondo said that their trust will be their downfall and he asked them to bring Defector to him.

At Angel Grove High, Tommy arrived and Rocky told him to and look how great Penny is with the kids and he asked why she had a tough time with him. Kat said that maybe it is because the kids don't feel sorry for her. Penny told the kids that blind people can read and do just about anything the way normal people can, that they aren't a lot different from anybody else and that they shouldn't treat blind people any differently. Roger raises his hand and asks her how she does things without being able to see and Penny told him that blind people really have to learn to trust their other senses and sometimes they can develop those senses to do some neat things and the kid asked how. Penny asked Roger to sit on her lap and she'll show him. She senses that he had peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch, and she also sensed that the kid had a scar next to his chin.

At the park, Lt. Stone is still looking for Bulk and Skull, who are disguised as statues and Penny told them that Lt. Stone is gone and that one of them needs deodorant. Rocky arrived and he wanted to apologize about yesterday and that he understands how hard it must be sometimes. Penny appreciates that and Rocky told her that she was terrific at the Youth Center and good with the kids. Penny told him that she's going to teach Braile when she gets out of school and that there is so much that she wants to say to other blind kids. Rocky said that she'd be an inspiration and Penny wants to let them know that they can lead a perfectly normal life and asked Rocky to walk her to the bus stop and Rocky agrees.

On their way, Penny asked Rocky if he heard something kind of weird, like a high-pitched whine and when Rocky's communicator went off, he told her that he's going to check out both noises. Zordon told Rocky that the sensors have picked up something less than a hundred yards from him and that he'll have the others join him. Rocky told Zordon that that must have been what Penny heard and that he's on it, prompting him to morph without her looking.

At the rooftop, Rocky asked that King Mondo wants to try again, and Defector said that he is not here to fight, prompting the others to arrive. He also said that he's not cut out for evil, and Kat asked why they should believe him. Defector said that he really doesn't want any trouble and that he's telling the truth, prompting him to escape. Kat asked the others do they think Defector was telling the truth and Adam said that he doesn't think so and Rocky thought that Defector really didn't want to fight them. Penny found Rocky and the others covered for him by asking them if they noticed anything strange around the area. *Penny claims that you shouldn't treat blind people differently. However, this point seems a little moot as Rocky and the others did just that, as they were impressed with her fighting skills before she was revealed to be blind and they also tried to help by picking her things up when they fell over, despite that they would probably do that with other people regardless. Rocky ends up apologizing to Penny for having treated her differently, despite him not doing that at all, when it was rather that Penny assumed it was because she was blind.

Trust in Me is the twenty-second episode of Power Rangers Zeo.

Synopsis

Rocky takes an interest in a blind karate student, but she distrusts him and the others. Meanwhile, King Mondo summons Defector to gain the Rangers' and even Alpha 5's trust.

Plot

The episode begins with Jerome Stone sneaking out of a bush, looking for Bulk and Skull and said that he will find them. Bulk and Skull are undercover as hot dog vendors. Bulk told Skull that he is going to get them caught and Skull said that he is starting to cramp. Bulk also told Skull that if Lt. Stone finds them, they'll fail the undercover test and Skull said that the next time they'll do this, Bulk will have to get inside the cart. Billy, Tanya and Rocky were so excited to see Penny at the Martial Arts Expo and that they've heard a lot about her.

Outside of the Youth Center, Rocky stopped Penny to said that whatever he said, and Penny interrupted him by saying that he didn't say anything, and she wants him to understand that she doesn't need his help. Rocky apologized to her if he offended her and that he was just trying to be nice, and Penny asked him that she didn't ask for his help and that she didn't need it.
