Power Rangers Lost Galaxy - Power Rangers Morph 2
The Transmorphers are wrist-mounted devices that allow the heroes to become into the Galaxy Rangers, granting them extraordinary powers. These powers are over 3,000 years old, and awaited the chosen ones to claim them by removing the Quasar Sabers from their stone on the planet Mirinoi. The Sabers somehow tapped into the Universal Morphing Grid using their mystic abilities to create the Transmorphers allowing the five heroes to become Power Rangers.
The Galaxy Rangers returned the Quasar Sabers to Mirinoi after defeating Trakeena, thus surrendering their powers, but were able to retrieve them and make use of their morphers whenever the need arose. They also have an alert sound like the Astro Morphers.
Alternative to the Transmorphers, the Super Mega Rangers used Legendary Ranger Keys provided by Gosei to assume the corresponding Ranger forms as a Legendary Ranger Mode.
Morphing Sequence
The Transmorpher featured a gold dial set to one of the five Ranger colors. Once the Transmorphers were activated with a cry of "Go Galactic!" and a button on the front panel was pressed, the dial would be turned and the wearers would transform. These devices were apparently created from, and look similar to the Quasar Sabers and Ranger suits, incorporating the zigzag motif. They allowed the Rangers quick access to their powers without carrying their swords around in the open.
Notes
- "Transmorphers" was the name originally given to the Power Morphers in the original pilot for Mighty Morphin.
- In the two-part Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue episode "Trakeena's Revenge", the Rangers would turn their dials to their appropriate colors prior to their morphs; this is the only time of such an occurrence. This practice was necessary to use the Ginga Braces in Gingaman, but not in Lost Galaxy.
