History[]

Rise of Drakkon[]
Tommy is a new student to Angel Grove who was chosen by Rita Repulsa to become her own evil Green Ranger. He was eventually stopped by the Power Rangers who broke Rita's spell over him. When he came to, Tommy realized all the damage he had done and felt terrible, but Jason assured him it was only because of Rita's spell. Tommy decided to join the Power Rangers as their sixth ranger, much to the confusion of the citizens of Angel Grove. Despite their welcome, Tommy continues to feel like an outsider and has been haunted by Rita's presence.
Scorpina infiltrates his home attempting to retrieve the Green Ranger's Power Coin but is unsuccessful when Tommy manages to expel her from his home with his communicator. He is completely overwhelmed by Scorpina and her Putty Patrollers until the other rangers show up in the nick of time to rescue him.
Despite having survived the battle, the stress on his body from the fight, as well as Rita's continuous influence, causes him to spontaneously lose consciousness and to experience vivid hallucinations. Trini requests a Power Scan be performed on him, revealing a strong visual difference between his power and the other five. He reveals the truth about his frequent hallucinations, causing Jason and Zack to become distrustful.
Amidst their discussion, Scorpina appears again, this time taking control of the Dragonzord to attack the city. Tommy is forbidden by Jason to enter the battle but he and the other rangers are overwhelmed when another Shark monster appears to fight them. Tommy begins to understand that the visions he's had only have strength because he allowed them to, he is finally able to overcome them and teleports into the battle in an attempt to regain control of his Dragonzord. Though it resists the song of the Dragon Dagger, he breaks through the cockpit window and destroys the Golden Dragon Dagger along with the jewel which acted as its power source. He is able to regain control of the Dragonzord allowing the Megazord to take down the shark monster. Upon return, the discussion over his role in their team reignites - with tempers flaring particularly between Zack and Jason. The conversation is brought to an abrupt end when the crystal, brought into the Command Center explodes, damaging Zordon and Alpha 5.
Shattered Grid[]
Murdered by Drakkon[]
When Lord Drakkon escaped Promethea custody, Tommy and Jason both encountered Grace Sterling over the revelation that she had held Lord Drakkon without them knowing about it. As the other Rangers try to prepare for anything Drakkon might do, he and Kimberly have a heart to heart talk over recent events and agree to a date. However, the date ends on a bad note when Kimberly rebuffs Tommy's attempt at a good night kiss. As Kimberly realizes that she really did want the kiss and tries to go back for it, Tommy is kicking himself over such an action. As he is, he is ambushed by a repowered Drakkon, running him through the back with Saba and absorbing his power to supercharge the Green Chaos Crystal. Kimberly arrives, followed by a time-travelling Jen Scotts, only to be helpless as Drakkon escapes and Tommy dies in Kimberly's arms.
Despite the Rangers' attempts to revive Tommy, Zordon is forced to admit defeat and recognize that Tommy is lost to them. The Rangers are forced to return Tommy to the alleyway where he was struck down and let the world know he was gone. His time as a Power Ranger was left unknown and the Dragon Coin was passed down to Jason. Even more, when Jen revives from her brief coma, she sadly tells the team that there's no way to travel back in time to save Tommy due to the damage done by Lord Drakkon.
Saved by the Ranger Slayer[]
Drakkon sent Ranger Slayer to eliminate the Mighty Morphin team in their timeline, but mistakenly sent her to the past-present where Tommy is yet to be a Ranger. In his first appearance, the past-present Tommy is seen training in the gym, but is under attack by Ranger Slayer.
The past-present Tommy thought she tried to kill him however, Ranger Slayer, who was now freed from Drakkon’s control by her younger alternate self uses her opportunity to change his original future-present-self’s fate, giving him a second chance to live, by implanting the improved green crystal into his body with her arrows in a single shot without killing him, giving him a vision to prevent his fated death like his future-present-self had, eventually trapping his soul within the time and space instead of dying.
Defeating Drakkon[]
When Drakkon finally obtained the final third evolution and stole the Heart of the Master from the Emissaries Three, he destroyed all realities and rewrote them into one where Drakkon became a Superman-like figure, Tommy (as a specter) began to haunt Drakkon, taunting him and telling him that he knows this world is wrong and that he's a pathetic man for creating it. This allows his grip on the world to weaken enough for Tommy to resurrect himself and rescue the Emissaries before rescuing his teammates, including Jen and Lauren, with a fragment implanted by Kimberly from Drakkon’s former world. As Tommy gathers the team along with Jen and Lauren, they are soon found by Drakkon, leading to a titanic struggle that ends with Tommy grabbing the Heart of the Master.
The two are pulled inside the Heart, the two battle briefly before Tommy defeats him, telling him that the reason he lost was because he couldn't stomach the idea that, in an entire multiverse of Tommys, he was the only one who was evil. With Drakkon pulled away from the Heart, his world began to fall apart. Tommy offered him a chance to save him, but Drakkon refused, staying with his broken world as it collapsed around him, ending his threat once and for all. With that Tommy returns the heart back to the Emissaries and all realities are restored, he and Kimberly share their last kiss before the restoration is complete, meaning it may erase almost all memories relating to the Shattered Grid events. Necessary Evil[]
The Light Bearer[]
After losing his Green Ranger Powers during the arrival of Lord Zedd, Tommy goes to his Uncle Jack's cabin and prepares to leave Angel Grove, though he is later teleported away by Zordon and Alpha, with Zordon explaining they were going to make Tommy an all new Power Ranger. Alpha opens a portal while Zordon says the power source they need is on a distant world and Tommy will be tested to see if he is worthy, but he must do so alone. COMIC STORY- Go Go Power Rangers Issue 25
Tommy decides to take the risk and enters the portal. He sees a large alien tiger-like cat appear and then follows it as it seems to be expecting him until he comes to the fabled Tower of Light. Once he enters, he sees a large Power Coin inside a glowing orb on a shrine and walks toward it. Tommy then is stopped by Saba, who's at first happy to see him as he thought he was dead, remembering when he helped him fight against Lord Drakkon. This Saba says it is not that particular saber, that one is gone and from another time and place, it demands to be addressed as the Sword of the Light.
The Sword of the Light says the power can be claimed if he can get past him, Tommy tries to do but is beaten multiple times by the Sword while he's also taunted about visions of his alternative life as Lord Drakkon. Later a portal begins to open with Lord Zedd emerging. He grabs the Sword and says he wants to give the White Light to Tommy, as he believes he can unleash Tommy's true potential, offering Tommy to take the Light and bend it to his will to become the warrior he was always meant to be. COMIC STORY- Go Go Power Rangers Issue 26 After Tommy rejects Zedd's offer, this was all revealed to be a trial by the Sword to see if he was worthy of being the light-bearer. Tommy returns with Zordon and Alpha, this time holding both the Sword of the Light and a Ranger helmet, and they begin the power transfer while Zordon tells Tommy that he will also replace Jason as the team leader, something that he's hesitant to do at first. Tommy later morphs into the White Ranger and is introduced to his new team, much to their joy. COMIC STORY- Go Go Power Rangers Issue 27
The Power Transfer[]
Sometime after Tommy starts leading the team, Jason, Zack and Trini were selected to go to a peace conference and they accepted. The Rangers then went on to retrieve the Sword of Light, an ancient artifact covered in dazzling jewels located on the Deserted Planet in the Furthest Galaxy, before Zedd tried to destroy the planet with Serpentera. The sword had the ability to transfer and copy the Powers and Power Coins from existing Power Rangers to new ones. It was used to transfer the powers from Jason, Zack and Trini, to Rocky, Adam and Aisha. COMIC STORY- Go Go Power Rangers Issue 32
Tommy and the new team would later face Dayne, a Sirian bounty hunter that was hired by Lord Zedd, during their fight Tommy would be brutally beaten leaving him out of commission. COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Boom! Studios) Issue 43 While the other five Rangers faced Dayne again they would be rescued by a mysterious team of Rangers called the Omega Rangers. COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Boom! COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Boom! Studios) Issue 45
Kiya and the Anointed[]
After Kiya betrayed the Omega Rangers, because she wanted to kill Tommy to prevent another Drakkon from being born. The Omega Rangers went to get medical attention for one of their members that was badly injured in the Command Center, revealing that the three Omegas were Jason, Zack and Trini. COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Boom! COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Boom! Studios) Issue 48
Tommy and Jason eventually went to Safehaven with the rest of the Rangers to stop Kiya. They eventually get help from the Ranger Slayer while the others defeat Kiya and the Anointed with a new zord. After the fight the friends make amends before going their separate ways. Later the Rangers went to investigate a meteor that supposedly landed, but they found it was a visibly aged and unstable Drakkon who had returned. COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Boom! Alternate Timelines[]
Zeo[]
As Zeo Ranger V - Red, Tommy Oliver followed his original timeline until the Shattered Grid event. He was kidnapped by Lord Drakkon and impersonated just as the Rangers were seeing Jason off, after his tenure as the Gold Ranger. Tommy was in captivity while Drakkon stole away one of the Zeonizers from the Power Chamber. It is later revealed he also took Tommy's Zeonizer (or at least its Crystal). Drakkon murders Tommy upon his return, but Tommy is restored to life once the Grid is restored.
Dino Thunder[]
In a version of reality that was splintered off the main one in Shattered Grid, the Black Dino Ranger, Tommy Oliver most likely followed his original timeline until it was split by the Shattering of Drakkon. While is not explicitly said, the Brachio Morpher of an older version of Tommy is seen among the many Morphers that Drakkon acquired during his quest for power. It can be assumed that this version of Tommy also lost his powers as later revealed that Kira was the only survivor from that team and he was most likely killed by Drakkon, but Tommy would be later saved once the Grid is restored. Darkest Hour[]
After Dark Specter launches his invasion on the Morphin Grid, Doctor Oliver, alongside Trent, is attacked in Reefside by a corrupted S.P.D. B-Squad Pink Ranger and an unidentified S.P.D. A-Squad Ranger. Though the corrupted Rangers succeeded in knocking Tommy out of his morphed form, they were quickly beat by Vesper Vasquez and Eddie Banks of the HyperForce Rangers.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles[]
Previously, until the age of 7, Tommy Marshall and his friend Tyler lived on the streets, until he left the orphanage to be adopted by his mother. COMIC STORY- MMPR/TMNT Issue 1 COMIC STORY- MMPR/TMNT Issue 3
At some point, Tommy learned that Tyler, a friend of his from before moving to Angel Grove, had joined a criminal group called the Foot Clan. Under the pretense of "family issues" Tommy went to New York and infiltrated the Foot Clan for three weeks under the name Tommy Marshall until one night he and several other Foot Ninja encountered and fought the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, in particular Raphael, who Tommy was able to get the upper hand over, allowing him and the rest of the Foot to retreat.
Back at the Foot's hideout, the Clan's second-in-command, Karai told him and the others to use their defeats at the hands of the Turtles to strengthen themselves to defeat them. Afterwards Karai spoke to Tommy privately on the rooftop, both congratulating him for his performance against the Turtles, but also telling him that the Foot Clan's leader, The Shredder has a special mission for him. Soon after, Tommy broke into the Mason Technologies laboratory to steal a high-power energy cell for The Shredder. There he again encountered the Turtles, alone and believing the Turtles to be monsters created by Rita Repulsa, morphs. Despite the power boost, Tommy struggles to keep up with the Turtles, especially Raphael who was particularly aggressive as he tried to get payback for Tommy getting the upper hand on him before.
Soon the fight goes outside, where the rest of the Power Rangers were after they teleported to Tommy's location due to detecting his morph. As the Turtles and the Rangers fight, Tommy talks to Kimberly, where he says he didn't want them to get involved and asks her to trust him, which she agrees to, despite Tommy's refusal to explain his goals. Tommy then slips away with the energy cell while the Turtles and Rangers continue to fight.
Tommy then travels to the Foot Clan's underground base, the Technodrome and offered the energy cell directly to the Shredder, who promoted Tommy to the elite rank of Jōnin. Soon after Tommy used his new elite rank to find Tyler and attempt to persuade him to leave the Foot Clan, but failed and was stunned by Tyler, who offered him to the Shredder. Several hours later Tommy came to in cage being watched by the Shredder, who revealed that he was entirely aware of his identity thanks to his allies from Dimension X. Tommy attempted to morph, only for Shredder to use a device powered by the energy cell Tommy stole for him to cancel out his morph, allowing the Shredder to take Tommy's morpher himself, allowing him to become the Green ranger.
After Shredder left the room, Tyler was placed on guard duty where Tommy again tried to persuade him to leave the Foot Clan, but Tyler refused, accusing Tommy of abandoning him when he was adopted and saying that the Foot Clan was the only home he had. Not long later, just as Shredder's minion Baxter Stockman prepares to experiment on Tommy, the rest of the Rangers, now depowered thanks to Shredder and now donning ninja weapons under the identity of the Ninja Rangers, and ally of the Turtles Casey Jones, storm in and recue Tommy.
As they make their escape they are attacked by a group of foot soldiers including Tyler, who Tommy engages. During the fight he thanks Kimberly and the rest for coming to his aid despite his secrecy. Then, Baxter Stockmen unleashed the Putty Elite Soldiers, made from combining Foot Soldiers with Rita Repulsa's Putty Patrollers. The Putties attack indiscriminately, injuring one of Tyler's friends. Tommy uses this as proof that the Foot doesn't care about him and will toss him aside without second thought, and this time Tyler is convinced and joins the Ninja Rangers and Casey as they escape.
When the Technodrome bursts out of the ground and unleashes an attack on New York alongside the enlarged Mutants Bebop and Rocksteady as well as Shredder's stolen Dragonzord, Tommy stays behind while the Turtle Rangers and Ninja Rangers defeat them with the Turtle Megazord, formed from the Dino Megazord and Donatello's enlarged turtle robot Metalhead.
During the battle, Shredder escapes to Rita's Moon Palace with the Dragonzord Power Coin. Billy and Donatello then manage to undo the disruption field that Shredder used to depower them and the Rangers and Turtles chase the villains to the Moon Base. During the fight, Tommy utilizes Shredder's device to sever his link to the Power Coin, allowing Tommy to reclaim his morpher and morph. Just as the Rangers and Turtles have Shredder and Rita cornered however, Rita uses her magic to escape, insisting that Shredder take her to his allies in Dimension X.
After the battle is over, Tommy apologizes to the Turtles' father Master Splinter for his part in events, though Splinter assures him that all is well and that he is forgiven. Then Tommy says goodbye to Tyler who along with the other ex-Foot Soldiers intents to help clean up the damage caused by the Foot Clan under the supervision Casey Jones. And just before Tommy and the other Rangers return home to Angel Grove, Raphael challenges Tommy to a rematch, which he accepts.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II[]
Six months later, during which there had been no sightings of either Rita or Shredder, Tommy and Raph get word that Casey Jones, long time ally to the Turtles has gone missing and go to New York to talk to Tyler about it. Tyler reveals that not only has Casey disappeared, so have a number of the Turtle's enemies. Knowing who they can talk to for answers, Raph leads Tommy to the sewers where they meet the Rat King, who reveals that the disappearances are the work of a Power Ranger.
sometime later Goldar breaks Bebop, Rocksteady, and Baxter Stockman out of prison, but the Turtles and the Power Rangers arrive to stop him. During the battle, Casey reappears and betrays the heroes, morphing into Ranger X.
Afterwards the Rangers and Turtles confer in the Turtles' lair. Where after Kimberly mentions that Rita has made evil rangers before, Tommy explains his history as a ranger to Raph. Tommy recalls to Raph that Rita typically enchants an object to maintain her brainwashing, and suggests that destroying Ranger X's hockey stick will free Casey from her control. As the Heroes prepared for the coming battle, Tommy helped Billy and Donnie upgrade the Dragonzord
Sometime later Rita launched a massive attack on Angel Grove, as a distraction for Scorpina, Bebop, Baxter Stockman, and Ranger X to infiltrate the Command Center. Tommy, Jason, and Raph, who had morphed thanks to a Shadow Morpher made by Billy and Donatello. While Tommy fought Bebop, Raphael destroyed Casey's hockey stick, only to discover that Casey wasn't brainwashed at all. As the villains approached Zordon's chamber, Tommy and the others were saved by the surprise intervention of the Shredder. However, just as Zordon was evacuated, the Power Node was destroyed, cutting all the rangers off from their powers.
Escaping back to the lair, Tommy and Raph prevent a fight from breaking out by explaining the role the Shredder had played in saving their lives. Shredder explains that the Power Node cannot be rebuilt with the matierals on Earth. He also explains that he had been cast aside by Krang in favor of Rita and that his goals currently align with the heroes because he cannot rule a destroyed Earth.
As April O'Neil reports the state of things in Angel Grove, Tommy and the rest of the heroes prepare to head into battle without their powers. Billy and Donnie stop them revealing that they have a plan to make the rangers more like the Turtles. Sometime later, the heroes teleport to Angel Grove just as Bebop and Rocksteady corner a group of civilians, including April, Bulk, and Skull. The Rangers use their morphers, modified with Mutagen to mutate into forms resembling the animals their power coins are derived from, Tommy takes the form of a humanoid, organic version of the Dragonzord. During the fight, Tommy and Leonardo encounter Casey, who gives them a mobile portal generator. When Tommy and Leo express their skepticism, Casey explains that he infiltrated Krang's forces with the hope of being able to finally defeat Krang and Rita forever.
The Turtles and Shredder reparted for Dimension X, while the rangers stayed on Earth to continue defending Angel Grove, now with the aid of Master Splinter to help the rangers learn to control their new mutant abilities. Tommy briefly fought Leatherhead whom he offered to change sides, but Leatherhead declined as Rita and Krang had promised him rulership over all of Louisiana and part of Florida.
After Leatherhead was defeated, Tommy and the rest of the rangers were faced by their Dino Megazord now under the control of Krang. The rangers agreed that they needed the Dragonzord, but in his mutant form Tommy was unable to play his flute to summon it. Fortunately Shredder arrived, informing the rangers that the Power Node had been reconnected before using a Shadow Morpher to regain his Green Ranger form and summon the Dragonzord. Though the rangers were briefly concerned that Shredder may take the opportunity to betray them, they assured when Metalhead arrived being piloted by Alpha 5 and Zordon. When Krang gained the upper hand in the fight, Tommy and the other rangers attacked him to keep him from finishing Shredder off. This gave Shredder and Zordon enough time to combine Metalhead and the Dragonzord into the Dragon Turtlezord which made short work of Krang.
One week later, Tommy and the rest of the rangers had returned to their human forms and lamented the loss of their mutant powers, but nonetheless he smiled when Ernie took a group photo of them and the turtles, who were using holographic disguises to appear human.
Godzilla vs The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers[]
Following behind Rita as she and her minions raid an ancient temple unknown even to Zordon. When Rita begins to claim the temple's treasure, the Multiversal Focus Tommy charges in disregarding Zordon's warnings. As Tommy battles Goldar, Scorpina, and a legion of putties, Rita takes control of the Focus and transports everyone present to an alternate universe version of Angel Grove that's been reduced to ruins. Unaware that he's been moved to another universe, Tommy sees Godzilla moving through the ruins and, mistaking him for one of Rita's monsters, summons the Dragonzord. On it's own the Dragonzord is unable to defeat Godzilla and is eventually disabled by his atomic breath.
Fortunately, the rest of his team arrive at that moment and confront Godzilla with the Dino Megazord. As Tommy watches the battle he tries to make his way to the Dragonzord to join other rangers in the battle, but he's intercepted and captured by Goldar, who takes him to a space belonging to the Supreme Controller of Planet X. Rita makes Tommy watch as the Planet X spaceships attack both the Dino Megazord and Godzilla, the latter of which shrugs off the attack and flees into the ocean while Tommy realizes that he doesn't belong to Rita.
Not long after, the other rangers charge onto the ship, intent on rescuing Tommy, however when the Xilien unleash Gigan on the city, the rangers are forced to give up their rescue attempt to protect the survivors. While the Dino Megazord battles in a 3-on-1 agasint Gigan, Rhinoblaster, and Eye Guy, Rita begins casting a spell to brainwash Tommy back into her Evil Green Ranger. Tommy manages to resist and is dragged back into his cell. As he's taken away Tommy swears that with or without him, the Rangers will defeat Rita like always. However Rita rebuffs him saying that with her monsters and those of the Xiliens, she will conquer the entire multiverse.
Some time later, the Xilien ship was attacked by King Ghidorah, damaging the lock on Tommy's cell. Escaping his cell, Tommy ran into an Xilien who had decided that since Rita's arrival the effort to conquer the Earth had become too costly and thus returned Tommy's power coin. After Morphing, the Xilien assured Tommy that they were still enemies and that Earth would still be conquered by the Xiliens, stating that was their nature just as helping his friends was Tommy's. As the fight outside had devolved into a chaotic free-for-all between the Rangers, Ghidorah, and a band of Rita's monsters led by Goldar and Scorpina, Tommy escaped the ship and reactivated the Dragonzord.
Joining the fight against Ghidorah, Tommy engaged the three-headed monster before Godzilla re-emerged and dragged Ghidorah under the waves. The rangers took the opportunity to combine into the Mega Dragonzord, which prompted the already injured and exhausted Goldar and Scorpina to retreat. When Ghidorah and Godzilla re-emerge, the Rangers and the King of the Monsters make short work of King Ghidorah. After Godzilla blasts the last of the Xilien ships, he turns his attention to the Mega Dragonzord, the last thing in the area that can pose a threat to him.
Just the Rangers prepare to fight Godzilla, they are contacted by Zordon who informs them that Rita had left that dimension. Taking that as their cue, the Rangers return to their own dimension. Back at the command center, Zordon informs the rangers that Rita is not in their dimension, though the team are certain that Rita will return sooner or later. Godzilla vs The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers II[]
Sometime after the battle with Godzilla and the Xiliens, a White Ranger arrived in the Command Center. He explains that his world was invaded was invaded by an army of monsters led by a dimension-hopping Rita. The White Ranger explains that he had stolen a piece of the Multiversal Focus and had been fighting Rita across a number of alternate universes, as well as the fact that Rita had recruited Astronema. Before the White Ranger can go into detail, Zordon detects a dimensional disturbance, which Godzilla and a group of Rita's monsters have passed through. COMIC STORY- Godzilla vs. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers II Issue 1
Heading out to battle Godzilla and Rita's monsters in the Dragonzord, Tommy reminded the rest of the rangers that they needed to minimize causalities. Acting on Zordon's insistence, Saba and the White Ranger transported the rangers to another dimension to avoid collateral damage and civilian casualties. The arrive at a theme park with a giant Godzilla Statue. As they battle the monsters, they are joined by the Giant Robot, Jet Jaguar. Jet Jaguar's creator Goro Ibuki contacts the rangers and explains that he had detected the White Ranger and Rita's dimensional travel and that he can help them control the Mulitversal Focus. While the White Ranger and Jet Jaguar work together to get the Focus under control, Tommy and the rangers attempt to combine into the Mega Dragonzord, but the Megazord is knocked away while the Dragonzord continues its transformation sequence attaching to Godzilla instead. Though Tommy had no control over Godzilla, the King of the Monsters used the added fire power to wipe out Rita's monsters.
Godzilla then shakes the Dragonzord off him and prepares to fight the rangers before the White Ranger and Jet Jaguar transport them to another world where they detected another Ranger Team in distress. Before the Rangers could looks for them and Godzilla could fight them, they are met by a team of six Psycho Rangers who had all been combined with various Kaiju. Godzilla vs The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers II (White Ranger)[]
A version of Tommy who possesses the White Tiger Power Coin had his world attacked by an alternate universe version of Rita Repulsa with an army of monsters, who used the Multiversal Focus to banish his team into the Reality Stream. Eventually Tommy tracked her down and stole a piece of the damaged Multiversal Focus, allowing him and Saba to chase Rita to other universes, albeit with little to no control over when they jump and where to.
Eventually he battles a band of Rita's monsters in a version of Angel Grove that is under reconstruction. When Rita causes her monsters to grow Tommy responds with his White Tigerzord. The battle awakens Godzilla who begins to battle the White Tigerzord. When Godzilla's atomic breath and the White Tigerzord's White Tiger Lightning clashed, Tommy was sent to a version of Angel Grove that resembled his before Rita attacked. Making his way to the Command Center, he met with the local Power Ranger team, which included a version of himself. There he informed them of Rita's invasions across the multiverse and her recruitment of Astronema.

Joining his fellow Rangers in battle, Tommy was instructed by Zordon to use the Multiversal Focus to take the battle to a lifeless world where innocent civilians couldn't be caught in the destruction. Tommy warned Zordon that he has difficulty controlling where they go before making the attempt. Rather than a barren world devoid of innocents, they arrived in a theme park with a giant Godzilla statue. Then a giant robot, Jet Jaguar, joins the battle on the side of the Rangers. Tommy is then contacted by Jet Jaguar's creator Goro Ibuki, who says that he had anticipated their arrival. He tells Tommy that with Jet Jaguar's help. While the Green Ranger attempts to combine with the megazord to give Tommy an opening to get to Jet Jaguar, he combines with Godzilla instead. Taking advantage of the distraction, Tommy gets out of the White Tigerzord and meets with Jet Jaguar, who had shrunken to human size. Tommy installed his piece of the Multiversal Focus into Jet Jaguar and they transported to a desolate universe where they detected another Ranger Team in need. Just as Godzilla, who had separated from the Dragonzord, was about to battle the Ranger, they were interupted by a team of six Psycho Rangers who had been combined with various kaiju. One year after the events of Dino Thunder, Tommy is contacted by Jack Thomas the Yellow HyperForce Ranger to help him find the rest of his team. Dr. Oliver agreed to help find the Rangers, eventually bringing the time ship to the North Pole in 1985. As the rest of the Hyperforce Rangers are confused by Dr. Oliver's presence, the Rangers fill Jack in with their recent adventure with Santa and Jack explains to the other Rangers that from his perspective the Rangers had been missing for several weeks, not hours. In the weeks that the Rangers were missing Jack explains that he and Alpha 55 did an extensive search for them and were able to reprogram the time ship to detect time anomalies in the process. As a result, they were able to detect "The Leader" in Reefside in the year 2005 attempting to find Dr. Anton Mercer and revive his alter ego Mesogog.
The HyperForce Rangers and Dr. Oliver return to Reefside in the year 2005 to discover that Dr. Mercer is missing and Dr. Oliver's friend Hayley is in the process of destroying his newly rebuilt underground headquarters, having prior been destroyed by Zeltrax. Eddie uses his focus ability to neutralize Hayley and they see a news broadcast where "The Leader" is demanding for Dr. Mercer and his alter ego Mesogog for his plans. The Rangers learn that Hayley's actions were the result of being exposed to a strange gas emitted from Hayley's Cyber Café. The Rangers use their power to temporarily charge the Black Dino Gem so that Dr. Oliver can become the Black Dino Ranger once more and then they head to the Cyber Café. At the Cyber Café, the Rangers discover the Putties and a horse plant hybrid Perfume Pony. The Rangers drive off the people infected by the gas and discover that the Perfume Pony is the source of the gas. Eddie and Vesper are affected, but are brought back to their senses after taking blows to their heads.
As the Putties are defeated by Dr. Oliver and the Rangers, Jack uses one of Dr. Oliver's borrowed gas masks to smother the Perfume Pony in its own gas causing the monster to grow. Alpha 55 works on an antidote and part of the HyperForce team begins to cryogenically freeze the infected civilians attacking them. Dr. Oliver summons the Mezodon Megazord and the other Rangers follow him to suppress the Perfume Pony. Calling upon the HyperForce Zords, the Perfume Pony is badly damaged. Dr. Oliver finishes the monster off with his Brachio Staff, sealing it underground. Using their combined powers the antidote is then dispersed around Reefside saving the civilians.
Dr. Oliver receives a phone call from Dr. Mercer, who is at Mercer Industries. They head to Mercer Industries and discover a badly injured Mercer surrounded by Putties. The Putties are driven off and Mercer is healed by Dr. Oliver using the HyperForce Rangers' healing charge technology. Mercer begins changing into Mesogog, brought back to life due to residual Dino DNA still in Mercer's system. The Rangers learn from Mercer and the partially revived Mesogog that they refused to help "The Leader" in his plan of conquest, a plan that is revealed to be somehow tied to Zordon. Alpha 55 detects a disturbance on the other side of Reefside and the Rangers attempt to use the gas antidote to help Mercer rid himself of Mesogog, but with little success. Dr. Oliver decides to stay behind to help Mercer in preventing Mesogog from fully reviving as the Rangers say their goodbyes and head off to check out the disturbance.
Later in a reunion in Angel Grove, Kat and Tommy meet up with their old friends before reconfirming their feelings.
Personality[]
Brave, strong-willed, and dedicated, Tommy is an individual that very few people would ever be foolish enough to provoke. Possessed of an all-or-nothing mentality, Tommy is willing to sacrifice everything he has for the sake of his goals. It was likely for this reason that Rita chose him as her Green Ranger while she had control of the Green Power Coin. A serious and focused martial artist, Tommy is quick to criticize himself, and works hard to improve in any way he can, making him a danger not only to his enemies, but himself as well, as he often goes beyond his limits, such as coping with his dwindling connection to Rita who continued to wage psychological warfare on the young man and sow the seeds of dissent and doubt in his mind.
Tommy also suffers from a fear that he will not fit in with the other Rangers due to his history as brainwashed slave to Rita and their former enemy, and that the bad blood between him and the other Rangers still persists. Tommy also deeply fears that he may become like his alternate timeline counterpart, the Green/White Ranger, Lord Drakkon, who killed his own reality's Jason and Billy. Due to being different iterations of the same person, Tommy is terrified at the image of the person he might or might not become, the idea of committing such terrible acts visibly disturbing him, if not traumatizing him.
Tommy is hotheaded like many men his age, and is prone to fighting with his teammates when his loyalties are thrown into question. These fights are most commonly with Zack and Jason due to their respective histories as the first Ranger that Rita offered the Green Coin to and the Team Leader. Like Tommy, their combative personalities clash with Tommy's, unlike the more passive Kimberly, Trini, and Billy who Tommy is far more agreeable and friendly with.
Though not the tech wiz that Billy is, Tommy is still quick to react and strategize on the fly, such as protecting his mother from Scorpina by teleporting the crazed warrior far from his home with barely a moment to spare or giving up his powers to use his own Power Coin to restore his teammate's powers after the Black Dragon severed their connection to the Morphin Grid.
Following his death, Tommy's consciousness was preserved inside the Morphin Grid. As he watched Drakkon ravage the multiverse, he understood the truth: that in each world that had a Tommy Oliver, they were all good people, except for one: Drakkon. Armed with this undeniable truth about himself, Tommy's will became unstoppable, and proceeeded to wear down Drakkon's mind in the new reality. Due to this newfound conviction, Tommy managed to break his alternate self in a duel within the Heart of the Master. Now a man come full circle, Tommy was calm enough to remain in control, and mature enough to offer mercy and friendship to the man who had taken his life. Confident in his decision to reboot the world before the Shattered Grid campaign, and he and Kim finally came to terms with their feelings, kissing before the world was made anew.
Despite being merely a man, Tommy Oliver has walked through darkness, braved the nature of evil, and even offered a hand of friendship to a sworn enemy. He was an outsider who found his place among the Rangers, becoming the remarkable man he could have only become with those who stood beside him through all his troubles.
