This article is about an episode in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy.

To the Tenth Power is the thirtieth episode of Power Rangers Lost Galaxy which serves as the first part of the two-part team-up between Power Rangers in Space and Power Rangers Lost Galaxy.

Synopsis[]

Deviot revives the Psycho Rangers so the Galaxy Rangers and Space Rangers must work together to bring them down once and for all.

Plot[]

On an alien planet, Deviot meets with an alien buyer for a mysterious case. Once the trade is made, Deviot opens the case and finds what he bought: five familiar data cards. As the stranger tries to double cross him, Deviot spots him and blasts him.

Back on the Scorpion Stinger, Deviot gets a device set up to rematerialize the beings in the data cards, explaining to Trakeena that he reprogramed them to be stronger than the Rangers. Kegler is a little confused by this as he thought the beings inside the cards were destroyed, but Devoit aggressively corrects the former by explaining that they were digitized in a previous battle. Then, Deviot puts the cards and the beings rematerialize in front of Trakeena and her crew: the Psycho Rangers are reborn.

Back on the alien planet, a cloaked figure sees the remains of the alien buyer and the empty case, realizing he was too late to stop Deviot.

Meanwhile, Trakeena gives the Psycho Rangers her direct orders, telling Psychos Yellow and Black to go after Maya and Damon. Psycho Blue argues against that order and says he is not following anyone's orders to get his hands on the Blue Ranger. However, Trakeena and Deviot anticipated the Psycho Rangers' resistance to follow orders and activate shock bands to keep the evil Power Rangers in line. Seeing that they have no choice but to listen to Trakeena, Psycho Red reluctantly agrees to have the Psycho Rangers follow her.

On Terra Venture, Maya and Damon are walking back with the groceries until one of the Psycho Rangers trips Damon. As the two go to pick up their spilled tomatoes, Psycho Yellow abducts Maya through the sidewalk, and Psycho Black does the same to Damon through the walls.

Meanwhile, Psychos Blue and Pink attack Kai and Kendrix. The two try to put up a fight against the Psycho Rangers, but they are overpowered and knocked down. The two try to morph, but the Psycho Rangers grab their arms before they can activate their Transmorphers and abduct the two.

In the woods, Leo is busy training until he hears a little boy crying. It turns out to be a trap though as the boy throws Leo aside and transforms into Psycho Red. Psycho Red lunges at Leo and pulls out his sword to end the latter, but Leo manages to morph. Even then, Leo is no match for the psychotic Red Ranger and is forced to demorph. Before Psycho Red can destroy Leo, the cloaked figure kicks the former away and fires at the Psycho Ranger with a familiar looking blaster. With Psycho Red knocked down, the cloaked figure leads Leo far away from the former. Once the two are safe, the cloaked figure reveals himself to Leo as Andros, the Red Space Ranger. Having been near Angel Grove when the Space Rangers saved the Earth from the United Alliance of Evil, Leo instantly recognizes Andros and the two greet each other in good terms. Andros fills Leo in on who Psycho Red is, and suggests they leave before the latter finds them.

Aboard the Megaship, Andros meets Mike and reunites with Alpha. D.E.C.A. manages to find the captured Galaxy Rangers in the Industrial Dome, but Andros stops the Corbett brothers from going after them. Due to his experience with the Psycho Rangers, Andros knows that they are luring Leo and Mike into a trap to capture him. Andros opens the Power Vault inside the Megaship, revealing that it contains the Astro Morphers. Andros said he and the other Space Rangers stored them in the vault after the United Alliance of Evil fell and takes his Astro Morpher off the red stand. Afterwards, Andros makes a plan with the Corbett brothers.

Trakeena has the four Galaxy Rangers trapped in a forcefield, knowing that Leo will be compelled to come and save his friends. She is also pleased that Deviot's promise about the Psycho Rangers proved to be true. Suddenly, an explosion occurs behind Trakeena's forces and a morphed Leo and Andros confront the them. Seeing Andros makes Psycho Red enraged, but Trakeena isn't intimidated by the prscence of two Red Rangers. Leo and Andros lead the Psycho Rangers outside the warehouse and fight the group, with Trakeena, Deviot, and Villamax following them.

On the Megaship, the Power Vault opens again and Alpha is shocked to see four people taking the four remaining Astro Morphers.

With the captive Rangers guarded only by Stingwingers, Mike, morphed as the Magna Defender, sneaks in and frees his friends. Outside, Leo and Andros are cornered by Trakeena's forces, but Mike and the others come to their side. Psycho Red doesn't care that the Psycho Rangers are outnumbered seven to five, as he is confident that their upgrades will make them stronger than the Rangers. Suddenly, a voice calls out for Andros, and everyone turns to see Andros' teammates: TJ, Cassidy, Carlos, and Ashley. TJ leads the Space Rangers in the morph and they jump down to join Andros and the Galaxy Rangers. Once the four remaining Galaxy Rangers morph, both teams stand together, ready to finish the Psycho Rangers once and for all.

A massive battle occurs, with the Psycho Rangers taking on two Rangers of their own colors, or Damon's Green and Carlos' Black for Psycho Black's case. With their combined might, the Rangers manage to overwhelm the Psycho Rangers as Mike takes on Deviot and Villamax singlehandedly. Once the Psycho Rangers are regrouped, the Galaxy Rangers activate their Lights of Orion mode, while the Space Ranger whip out the Spiral Saber and Quadroblaster and fire at the Psycho Rangers. The Galaxy Rangers follow it up with an Orion energy attack, destroying the Psycho Rangers for good. Seeing that they lost, Trakeena and the others retreat.

The team celebrates back at the Megaship with Alpha revealing that he called Andros and the others to help out. The Space Rangers decide to stay for a while and see the sights on Terra Venture.

At the scene of the battle, it is revealed that Psycho Pink survived. However she is very weak and can barely stand when Deviot arrives. He tells her that the Psycho Rangers have proved to be a disappointment but she can still be of use, and he carries her away.

VHS/DVD[]

Errors[]

  • The Psycho Rangers' voices no longer have the digital echo effect they previously did.
  • Alpha 6 was shocked by the appearance of the Space Rangers despite sending them a distress call.
  • Deviot calls the Psycho Rangers old friends despite not being seen around during their first reign of terror.
  • Carlos has long hair during his morph sequence, despite it having been cut in this team-up.
  • When Psycho Red spins his head around, it goes through his collar, in addition to it, when he stops spinning, his head tilts a bit strange.
  • When the other Space Rangers grab their Morphers, they make a bit of digital “whoosh” sound. But this did not happen with Andros when he grabbed his Morpher.
  • It is difficult to notice but if the viewers look carefully, just before the other Space Rangers arrive, the stunt actor can be seen through Andros’ visor.

Notes[]

  • The team-up continues in the next episode.
  • The full in Space morph sequence, with the first shot showing the unmorphed Rangers opening their eyes before transforming, returns in this episode and the next.
  • Zhane does not appear in this episode nor is he referenced. Interestingly, his Morpher is not in the vault with the other Space Rangers'.
    • The reason Zhane was not in this episode was because his actor, Justin Nimmo, was not available.
  • This episode marks the final appearances of the male Psycho Rangers and Psycho Yellow.
  • It is not known how Deviot acquired the data cards when they were last seen in Astronema's possession during the last scene of In Space's "Ghosts in the Machine".
  • Psycho Black seemingly had no problems going after Damon, a Green Ranger. This could imply that the Black and Green Ranger energies are connected to each other in the Morphin Grid.
  • In one of the shots that show the Psycho Rangers being destroyed, the Magna Defender can be seen standing alongside the Space Rangers.
