  • On the planet Artavias, the Guardians repel an attack by Hartunian slavers. Zophram frees an enslaved Ortivox from his master and makes him choose whether to attack his enslavers or his liberators. The Ortivox retaliates against the Hartunians, as Zartus tells them never to return. Zordon points out that the Hartunians will only try to attack another planet next time, but Zophram tells him to revel in his victories. This marked the beginning of the Hartunian Empire made up of innocent enslaved species. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Studios) Issue 1
  • Zophram is chosen by the Elders of Eltar to become the Supreme Guardian after the events on Artavias. As a first act, Zophram requests the Elders that Eltar must extend their forces beyond their home galaxy to the deepest reaches of the universe to enable the protection of planets that are still in their social and technological infancy against Dark Specter. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Studios) Issue 2
  • While conducting a supervision on the planet Bivix, Zordon and Zartus share a bonding moment in which they share information about each other. Zordon tells Zartus that he does not want his life to be a constant battle against evil, but instead wishes to live a peaceful, uneventful life as a farmer with a wife and children. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Studios) Issue 3
  • On Eltar, during a sparring following the supervision of Bivix, Zophram tells Zordon that he wants him to be his successor as Chief Guardian. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Studios) Issue 4
  • On a Moon in Galaxy A47, the Guardians fight a Hartunian reconnaissance unit in the service of Dark Specter. Zordon, now Chief Guardian, and Zartus find a Bandorian Palace. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Studios) Issue 6
  • Zartus convinces a Bandorian monk to secretly place a protective and undetectable spell on the Zeo Crystal, the Fire of Truth, so that anyone who dares touch it will perish on contact or suffer worse. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Studios) Issue 9
  • Later, after Zophram fails to get an audience with the Elders regarding the Zeo Crystal, he and the rest of the Guardians return to the Moon in Galaxy A47. At the same time, an assassin sent by Dark Specter begins murdering everything in his path, from Eltarian forces to Bandorian monks. Just as he is about to touch the Zeo Crystal, Zophram and Zordon intervene. Zordon is stabbed and poisoned, prompting Zophram to violently strike down the assassin. The assassin manages to get inside Zophram's head, telling him that the Elders are a dead end in his fight against Dark Specter and that his side of the battle has already lost because of it. After putting the assassin in a cell, Zophram and Zartus go to see Zordon. The Healer tells them that Zordon is clinging to life, possibly due to his close proximity to the Zeo Crystal. During an audience with the Elders, Zophram snaps at them and finally decides to hold the Zeo Crystal to end the war. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Studios) Issue 10
  • Zophram is accompanied by Zartus back to the Bandorian Palace, and just as Zophram lays a finger on the Zeo Crystal the Fire of Truth spell activates shedding his skin and enveloping the entire Moon in an energy explosion killing any flora or fauna present, including the Bandorian monks. Only the palace, a few Eltarian soldiers, Zartus and a dying Zophram remain. Zartus kills the remaining Eltarian soldiers and sends Zophram to an unknown location telling him that he had been reborn, stronger than before. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa

 confronts on the planet .

Lord Zedd confronts Rita Repulsa on the planet Spearo V.

  • In an unknown part of the cosmos, Zophram argues with Zartus. Zartus tells him that Eltar believes him to be death, dying a hero to protect the Zeo Crystal. He then tells him that the Elders asked Zordon to return to Eltar, which Zophram quickly deduces is because Zordon is to become Supreme Guardian. An angry Zophram begins to believe Zartus' lies, thinking that Zordon has betrayed him to seize power. Zophram of Eltar then dies, and Lord Zedd is born. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Zartus tries to convince Zordon to give him the title of Supreme Guardian, but Zordon accepts it to honor Zophram's memory. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Studios) Issue 12
  • On the planet Ilvayx, the Guardians investigate a massacre of Ilvayxian priests and find a survivor named Vronin. This individual was mysterious, calm and quiet. Always watching, observing how they practiced their magic and Vronin even caught him watching forbidden spells. Later, Vintra was found next to the corpse of the Holy Teacher. The priests of Ilvayx retaliated, but Vintra killed everyone with their own spells and incantations. All but one, Vronin, who was left to tell the tale on purpose. Zordon, seeing that this is not someone affiliated with Dark Specter, ponders the question of the individual's identity without knowing the looming threat. • Zordon contacts Alpha 1 who becomes disillusioned with his ideals. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Power Rangers Prime Issue 3

Lauren uses her wrist blade and Rita's Magic Wand to explode the monster, creating a chance for them to escape. Jun and a frustrated Valentina leave on their own to try to fix the situation themselves while Mark is taken captive by VR Ryan to get some answers. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Power Rangers Prime Issue 5

TeeZee interrupts the fight as both sides make peace and head deep in the underground labyrinths into The Belly. Rita asks how deep the underground tunnels go as she inquires about heading to an abandoned chamber with an empty energy tube.Comicicon COMIC STORY- Power Rangers Prime Issue 7

With the pull of the Morphin Grid stronger in the chamber, Rita begins casting a spell as the jade orb begins flashing with energy. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Power Rangers Prime Issue 8
  • As Jun and Valentina arrive at the meeting spot, VR Kaitlin and VR J.B. disagree with Ryan's tactics. They go ahead with the plan to swap Mark with Lauren as VR Ryan restrains the Red Ranger. Valentina and Jun disagree with the VR Troopers as the Prime Rangers regroup and all morph and ready for battle. As the fight goes on, VR J.B. unleashes an EMP-like attack, knocking the Prime Rangers out of their Ranger forms. However, the Prime Green Ranger arrives on the scene to shift the balance of the fight. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Power Rangers Prime Issue 8

Lauren stops the battle and calls off TeeZee, turning herself in as originally planned in exchange for the safety of the others. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Power Rangers Prime Issue 9
  • As the VR Troopers drive Lauren to a secluded Eltarian base, she reveals her hopes of finding her father and brother who were taken when she was a teenager. Volar grabs Jun and uses him as a shield but Mark launches an arrow at his Volar's helmet, shattering it as Jun knocks Volar unconscious. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Power Rangers Prime Issue 12
  • Back in the Abandoned Chamber, Rita begins using her magic on Volar as Janessa tells Jun that his father will be labeled a traitor and will be buried in some Eltarian prison. Jun makes a deal with his mother in order to save his friends and agrees to give up his Basilisk Power Coin, leave Earth, and move to Eltar to train with the Guardians. Jun says goodbye to Valentina and Ryan and gives a farewell kiss to Mark. Valentina breaks up with Ryan, saying she needs the Rangers but will always need him. Comicicon COMIC STORY- Power Rangers Prime Issue 12
  • Bulk tries to corral miniature TeeZee in the Abandoned Chamber as Janessa appears and reminds Rita of their deal. Janessa agreed on letting the Prime Rangers go free as long as there was no morphing and no Rangers. After Janessa leaves, Lauren and Orion have a heart-to-heart about Lauren's family, Orion losing his home planet, and now having the other Rangers. All of the other Prime Rangers convene in the chamber and refuse to give up being Rangers and instead use the false pretense to buy time, build additional Zords, and assimilate until the next challenge comes. Ryan transforms and comes across a mysterious alien and discovers a cloaked figure working on a machine. VR Ryan calls Kaitlin Star and JB Reese for backup as a battle breaks out. • Back at VR Trooper HQ, the Troopers go over the case with Zarysh and discover the machine was some sort of teleportation device. The cloaked figure is revealed to be from an alternate reality Earth and Ryan learns the truth surrounding his father Tyler Steele's death that the Eltarians were keeping from him.Comicicon COMIC STORY- VR Troopers (Boom! • Tyler Steele and his colleagues studied the reality barrier without the Eltarian government's knowledge or approval, attempting to pierce it and offer Earth another reality. They manage to break through the barrier but the experiment failed reportedly leaving no survivors. Comicicon COMIC STORY- VR Troopers (Boom! Studios) Issue 1
  • Ryan leaves HQ to get some space and contemplates who his allies really are. Meanwhile, JB and Kaitlin talk about what Zarysh is still hiding from them about the case and what happened. JB notes that since the Virtualizers are keyed to their unique bio-signatures, the mystery criminal must be related to Ryan.Comicicon COMIC STORY- VR Troopers (Boom! Studios) Issue 1
  • The next morning at VR Trooper HQ, the VR Troopers meet up to discuss capturing the alternate reality fugitive and suspicions surrounding Ziktor Industries and their visors. Kaitlin decides to investigate Ziktor Industries on her own while J.B. fills in Ryan on their suspicions that the fugitive could be Ryan's father.Comicicon COMIC STORY- VR Troopers (Boom! • Kaitlin uses her journalism background to present herself as a reporter from the Angel Grove University Gazette interested in an internship to get a meeting with Ms. Abel. While being given a tour of the offices, Kaitlin manages to sneak away to a lab where Skugs are seen in tubes. The mysterious fugitive sneaks up behind Kaitlin and attempts to steal her Virtualizer before she transforms. The fugitive and VR Kaitlin get into a fight in the lab which causes an alert to sound to Karl Ziktor and Ziktor's Secretaries.Comicicon COMIC STORY- VR Troopers (Boom! Studios) Issue 2
  • While VR Kaitlin is distracted, the fugitive takes her Virtualizer and escapes the lab, leaving her to be captured by the Virtual Reality villain Grimlord.Comicicon COMIC STORY- VR Troopers (Boom! Studios) Issue 2
  • As Ryan contemplates the possibility that his father is still alive, he remembers his childhood when it was reported that his father died. No body was found and they couldn't track down his mother, so Professor Horatio Hart's family took Ryan in. As he recalls being recruited for the VR Troopers, he starts to question all of the secrets Zarysh and the Eltarians are withholding and asks J.B. for help in deciphering his father's old notes.Comicicon COMIC STORY- VR Troopers (Boom! • Underneath Ziktor Industries, Kaitlin sends out an SOS to Ryan on her hidden pager and provokes Grimlord. He reveals his plan to Kaitlin with the first wave being the consumer VR sets made by Ziktor Industries that give Grimlord a backdoor to their minds, allowing him to transform them into Skugs. His second wave of attack is fully breaching the reality barrier and being able to transfer matter between realities. Kaitlin reminds him of the threat of the Eltarians targeting his reality when he reveals to her that they don't control that power.Comicicon COMIC STORY- VR Troopers (Boom! Studios) Issue 3
  • Back at VR Trooper HQ, J.B. breaks down Professor Hart and Tyler Steele's old notes and learned that they wanted to achieve something humans could do that Eltarians could not. He finds a one-time passcode on dozens of files that Ryan reveals to be his mother's name Amy. The files reveal that Tyler and Professor Hart created the VR Troopers right as Ryan goes to call Kaitlin. Ryan reads Kaitlin's SOS message on his phone right as the mysterious fugitive enters HQ and begins attacking. VR Ryan and J.B. manage to neutralize the fugitive and removes its exo-suit, revealing their identity to be Ryan's mother, Amy Steele.Comicicon COMIC STORY- VR Troopers (Boom! Studios) Issue 3
  • At VR Trooper HQ, Ryan confronts his mother Amy as she reveals Karl Ziktor's consciousness is completely entwined with Grimlord and they will stop at nothing to breach the reality barrier. Grimlord and Ziktor have only mastered transferring energy across but not matter. Only Tyler Steele and Horatio Hart ever mastered inter-reality matter transfer when they created the VR Troopers.Comicicon COMIC STORY- VR Troopers (Boom! Studios) Issue 4
  • Amy reveals that they're both still alive as she talks about her previous defense position at The Pentagon which acted as a shell for the Eltarian Empire. Tyler stopped believing Amy would keep his research into the reality barrier secret from the Eltarians and took Ryan across the country to Angel Grove.Comicicon COMIC STORY- VR Troopers (Boom! • When Tyler and Horatio were getting close to breaching the barrier, Amy confronted him the night they opened the portal. Eltarian guards stormed in and threatened to shut everything down before Amy opened the portal which pulled her in along with Tyler and Horatio. The portal was closed behind them as they were trapped in Grimlord's reality, tortured, and forced to do his bidding to breach the reality barrier. Amy was cast aside and spent years trying to get back to save them before meeting Horatio Hart sends Amy back through the reality barrier and destroys it behind her.Comicicon COMIC STORY- VR Troopers (Boom!
