- On the planet Eltar, a young Eltarian soldier named Zordon is recruited by the Elders of Eltar at the request of the Chief Gold Guardian, Zophram, into the Guardians of Eltar to guard his fellow Lieutenant Silver Guardian, Zartus. Despite his reluctance to leave his post as First Spearman of the Bronze Company, Zordon accepts after being convinced by Zophram.
COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Studios) Issue 16 - On the planet Artavias, the Guardians repel an attack by Hartunian slavers. Zophram frees an enslaved Ortivox from his master and makes him choose whether to attack his enslavers or his liberators. The Ortivox retaliates against the Hartunians, as Zartus tells them never to return. Zordon points out that the Hartunians will only try to attack another planet next time, but Zophram tells him to revel in his victories. This marked the beginning of the Hartunian Empire made up of innocent enslaved species.
COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Studios) Issue 1 - Zophram is chosen by the Elders of Eltar to become the Supreme Guardian after the events on Artavias. COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin (Boom! Studios) Issue 2 - While conducting a supervision on the planet Bivix, Zordon and Zartus share a bonding moment in which they share information about each other. At the same time, an assassin sent by Dark Specter begins murdering everything in his path, from Eltarian forces to Bandorian monks. Just as he is about to touch the Zeo Crystal, Zophram and Zordon intervene. Zordon is stabbed and poisoned, prompting Zophram to violently strike down the assassin. The assassin manages to get inside Zophram's head, telling him that the Elders are a dead end in his fight against Dark Specter and that his side of the battle has already lost because of it. After putting the assassin in a cell, Zophram and Zartus go to see Zordon. The Healer tells them that Zordon is clinging to life, possibly due to his close proximity to the Zeo Crystal. Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa
Lord Zedd confronts Rita Repulsa on the planet Spearo V.
- In an unknown part of the cosmos, Zophram argues with Zartus. Zartus tells him that Eltar believes him to be death, dying a hero to protect the Zeo Crystal. He then tells him that the Elders asked Zordon to return to Eltar, which Zophram quickly deduces is because Zordon is to become Supreme Guardian. This individual was mysterious, calm and quiet. Always watching, observing how they practiced their magic and Vronin even caught him watching forbidden spells. Later, Vintra was found next to the corpse of the Holy Teacher. The priests of Ilvayx retaliated, but Vintra killed everyone with their own spells and incantations. Rita tells Goldar of how Zedd is growing more inept and paranoid. His second wave of attack is fully breaching the reality barrier and being able to transfer matter between realities. Kaitlin reminds him of the threat of the Eltarians targeting his reality when he reveals to her that they don't control that power.
COMIC STORY- VR Troopers (Boom! Studios) Issue 3 - Back at VR Trooper HQ, J.B. breaks down Professor Hart and Tyler Steele's old notes and learned that they wanted to achieve something humans could do that Eltarians could not. The files reveal that Tyler and Professor Hart created the VR Troopers right as Ryan goes to call Kaitlin.
