Synopsis[]
Octoroo wants the Red Ranger's powerful sealing symbol, so he poisons Jayden in order to get it.
Plot[]
In the Netherworld on the Nighlok ship, Octoroo is commenting on Master Xandred's power which have the waves and rocks a-rolling. Dayu then complain about how the waves are starting to make her feel sick. Octoroo tells Dayu that they must protect Master Xandred from other power-greedy Nighlok.
On the surface world, Deker is seen wandering around a shore when he sees the glowing red coming from the natural walls. He then explains how with Master Xandred is trying to take all of the newfound surging power, the Moogers will go wild without any leader, and he is somewhat happy because he will not be interrupted fighting the Red Ranger. Meanwhile as he is walking, several Giant Moogers arrive.
In the city, more Giant Moogers arrive, with one of them destroying a nearby building causing panic in the crowd, the Rangers head to the place. They count seven Giant Moogers, and go on Mega Mode. Antonio gets ClawZord and OctoZord to join in the fight. The regular Rangers then go into the Battlewing Megazord, while Antonio combines ClawZord and OctoZord. After fighting the regular ground Moogers, flying Moogers come in to join, and the Battlewing Megazord does quick work on them. Then they use their Katana power, Final Strike, to destroy the remaining Giant Moogers.
Meanwhile back at the Nighlok ship, Master Xandred ordered Octoroo to unlock the door to his room. Octoroo is concern that his master is still struggling with his powers. Arachnitor then arrives and has a plan to force the Red Ranger to show them his Sealing Power.
At the Shiba House, the Rangers (sans Antonio) are concern that the Sanzu River is seeping into their world no matter how the Nighlok are defeated. Jayden reminds his team that they can't think about winning or losing. They have to believe in themselves and keep on fighting. Kevin agrees with Jayden. Mentor Ji shows them a book about the mysterious Black Box and believe that it would to be able to help them. Jayden was not so sure says they can't use it and Mia asked Mentor what is it about the Black Box. Mento explain that the Black Box was created by the first Samurai Red Ranger saying it would help unite all of the Rangers' Symbol Powers into one. Jayden says that the first Red Ranger never even finished the Black Box. Mentor agrees and says that many have tried but none have the skill and power to complete it. Emily suggest that Antonio might be able to complete it since he is a tech wiz. Mike agrees since Antonio did help with the ClawZord. But the other Rangers even Jayden are concern that it might be too risky and harmful for Antonio but Emily believes that he can do this. Jayden reluctantly agrees. Mentor informs the Rangers that the Black Box is at the Tengen Gates.
The Rangers (except Antonio) arrive at the Tengen Gate, the place of Nighlok defeat, and are greeted by Daisuke, the elder guardian, who tells them about an “ancient folktale” about a young woman who made a deal with the Nighlok king to save the life of her beloved, but the Nighlok king tricked her and turned them both into Nighlok and also erased the man's memories and sentenced him to wander the Earth alone forever.
Elsewhere, Antonio encountered Deker again, still not yet knowing who he really was. He reminds Deker of the promise they made the other day to try out Antonio's special fish recipe.
Back at the Tengen Gate, Daisuke shows the Rangers the Black Box in his possession giving it to Jayden. Jayden thanks Daisuke and says he will protect the ancient relic with his life. As the junior guardian serves them something to drink, Arachnitor and his group of Moogers sneak into the Tengen Gate. The junior gives them their drinks, and then Jayden drinks his, falling to the ground, and telling the others that the other drinks are poisoned thanks to Octoroo. A Senior guardian then comes and tells Daisuke that the Nighlok are attacking the Tengen Gate.
Moogers attack the guardians in the courtyard, the other four Rangers are fighting off the Moogers. One of the Rangers then alerts Antonio, who is busy serving fish to Deker, to go to the Tengen Gate. Deker is curious, and instead of eating the fish as Antonio said, follows him.
Back in the Tengen Gate, Octoroo pops up. Daisuke tells the Nighlok that they were defeated here once, and will be defeated again. Octoroo then attempts to attack him, but the Junior Guardian jumps in Octoroo's way and is badly hurt. He then attempts to attack Daisuke, but then Jayden offers Octoroo to not hurt them and in return will show him the Sealing Symbol.
The four other Rangers are busy fighting Arachnitor when Antonio comes, who throws knives at Arachnitor. Kevin then tells him to go help Jayden, on which Arachnitor comments that "Your friend comes to save you and you tell him to runaway?" and fights the four Rangers with ease. They all are defeated easily.
Meanwhile, Octoroo then intervenes and forces Jayden to show him the Sealing Symbol. Jayden refuses to, and Octoroo tells Jayden that he has the antidote to negate the poison and will only give it to him if Jayden shows the Sealing Symbol. Antonio shows up, turns into the Gold Ranger and fights Octoroo, who says that this is a "private" conversation. Deker then comes, and finds out that the fisherman, Antonio, is the Gold Ranger.
Back at the Netherworld, when Dayu tries to find Octoroo, Master Xandred recovers to stop Arachnitor for his betrayal.
On the surface, after defeating all four of the Samurai Rangers, Arachnitor plans to rule the world but Master Xandred tied him up with a bead rope and send him straight back to the Netherworld.
Meanwhile, while Antonio and Octoroo are fighting, Deker then intervenes and takes Jayden with him so he can duel him. Octoroo, angered that Deker spoils everything and disappears behind a gap to the Netherworld, and Antonio goes back for the other four Rangers. He finds them badly injured and worryingly wonders what to do.
Back in the Nighlok Junk, Arachnitor was being punished and later mutated by Master Xandred for his betrayal.
The next scene ends with Deker carrying an unconscious Jayden near a river while vowing to have the ultimate duel between him and Jayden.
