The Horrid are an energy draining vampire-like alien race that served both the Horrid King and Lord Drakkon as foot soldiers.
History[]
The Horrid are first seen breaking into The Spectrum II while the Omega Rangers were traveling to stop the Empyreals. The Horrid King would spare Lord Drakkon's life in exchange for assistance in capturing the Omega Rangers. COMIC STORY- Power Rangers (Boom! Studios) Issue 2
The Horrid King tells Lord Drakkon about The Horrid's home planet when they were a peaceful and civilized race. In their attempts to find other life in space and control reality, their planet was destroyed. This trapped the Horrid in between dimensions becoming neither dead or alive. It took centuries for them to adapt to their new forms, learn how to absorb the life force of other beings to become corporeal, and become the Horrid. The Horrid King is brought to the Omega Rangers, but Lord Drakkon then betrays and kills him by stabbing him in the chest. The Horrid were assaulting the Omega Rangers outside the ship in space, but the death of the Horrid King caused immense anguish across the whole species. This opened up a window of time for the Omega Rangers to make their escape aboard The Spectrum, leaving The Horrid behind. COMIC STORY- Power Rangers (Boom! Studios) Issue 3
The Horrid made their return during the Eltarian War alongside Lord Drakkon leading them while the Mighty Morphin Rangers and Omega Rangers were battling the Purple Empyreal in their Megazords. COMIC STORY- Power Rangers (Boom! Studios) Issue 15 Drakkon offered an alliance with the Purple Empyreal but they turned him down. Expecting this answer, Drakkon sent The Horrid to drain the life energy from the Purple Empyreal. The Empyreal was caught off guard from The Horrid's attack but vaporized them soon after. - Absorbs the life energy of living beings through their mouths to become corporeal again.
- Multiphasic: Horrid are usually incorporeal beings, unable to be harmed by physical attacks as weapons can phase through their bodies. They can however be harmed when they absorb enough energy to maintain a physical form.
