The Fifth Crystal is the twenty-first episode of Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue.
Synopsis[]
Vypra collects an ancient powersource, the Starlight Crystals, with which to power a large laser cannon. Turns out, Kelsey has a secret kept from the Rangers. Her grandmother has (as the episode implies) the Fifth Crystal. But Granny (despite an athletic history) is now snobbish and stubborn, refusing to assist Lightspeed in baiting a trap to stop Vypra. But learning a lesson or two from Kelsey and Carter, Grandma Winslow rekindles her EXTREME past, and aids the Rangers in foiling the demon's plans.

Notes[]
- This episode is dedicated to the memory of Bob Manahan (the second voice of Zordon), who passed away from a heart aneurysm on June 30, 2000.
- Kelsey's grandmother's mansion was the same mansion that the Zeo Power Rangers used for their murder mystery night in "A Mystery to Me" four years earlier.
- Shannon Welles is credited as Grandma Winslow in the Time Force episode "Time for Lightspeed". Whether she appeared in a scene that was removed or the crediting was an error hasn't been specified.
- This episode reveals that the Starlight Crystal was passed down to Kelsey's family from mother to daughter; it would mean that Kelsey has an unnamed great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. It's also revealed Kelsey inherited her extreme passion for sports from her grandmother when she was young.
- In this episode, Carter tells Kelsey her grandmother looks just like her. This is because Sasha Williams also portrays her grandmother in her younger years.
