The Chameliac Warrior is the twenty-ninth episode of Power Rangers Lost Galaxy.
Synopsis[]
The Rangers encounter the Chameliac Warrior, a monster who is able to copy their fighting styles and use this knowledge against them. Trakeena's plan (which Mike overhears) is to use the Chameliac to divert the Rangers while she sets a deadly laser designed to destroy the Galactabeasts. Meanwhile, the Rangers switch their fighting styles around, confusing the monster. When the Rangers call on the Galactabeasts to fight Chameliac, Magna Defender destroys the laser. The Rangers defeat the monster with the Galaxy and Stratoforce Megazords (the latter of which uses the Centaurus Megazord's laser cannon as the monster used its boomerang).
Plot[]
Mike starts his day with a jog around the mountain dome of Terra Venture, only to overhear something. Mike sneaks around and discovers Villamax and the Stingwingers travelling with materials they hope to use to destroy the Galactabeasts. As the villains walk away, Kegler trips and drops a disc, walking away without seeing it. Once everyone is gone, Mike takes the disc, only to be confronted by Chameliac and a squad of Stingwingers. Mike morphs into the Magna Defender, prepared to fight against the monster and the Stingwingers. As Mike fights the Stingwingers, Chameliac scans his fighting style before creating a copy of the former's Magna Blaster. Chameliac fires at Mike, claiming he can use the latter's moves as he slashes at him with the Energy Chop. As Mike gets overwhelmed, the disc falls out of his pocket. The Rangers arrive to help Mike, but Chameliac disappears. Mike grabs the disc from the ground, hoping it will tell them what Villamax's plan is.
As Mike is being treated for his wounds, he tells the others about Chameliac's copy abilities and how he got overwhelmed by the monster. Alpha 6 tries to find the needed data from the disc, but since it was damaged during the fight, it is a challenging process. Regardless, the Rangers know they must stop Villamax from whatever he is planning, and they go back into the woods to find him. Mike is told to stay and have his wounds treated, but he uses that time to look at the disc, seeing how fried it got during the fight.
On the Scorpion Stinger, Trakeena praises Chameliac for injuring Mike but asks if he could do the same to the Rangers. Chameliac claims he can, watching old battle footage from Trakeena's archives to study the Rangers' fighting style, weapons, and moves. Once Chameliac is done, he tells Trakeena he is ready.
On Terra Venture, Kegler leads the Stingwingers in building a powerful laser to destroy the Galactabeasts. However, one Stingwinger returns and warns Villamax that the Rangers were following him. Because the laser is not ready yet, Kegler and Villamax send Chameliac to fight the Rangers.
Chameliac confronts the Rangers, who morph when the Stingwingers arrive. As they fight, Chameliac takes on Leo, copying the Red Ranger's fighting style and his Quasar Saber. When Leo uses his full-powered slash, Chameliac counters with his own version. Each of the Rangers tries to attack Chameliac, but the latter uses their fighting style and weapons against them. Realizing they are outmatched, the Rangers activate the Lights of Orion and enter their Powered-Up Mode. However, Chameliac kicks the attack away and uses his version of the Powered-Up Mode against the Rangers. The Rangers are knocked away, and Chameliac leaves victorious.
Demorphed from the battle, the Rangers compare notes about Chameliac's abilities and how it seemed like he knew all their moves when they fought him. Damon suggests they should go back and stop Chameliac from whatever he is building, but Kai argues they cannot unless they have a plan in mind. However, when Kai brings up how Chameliac can predict what move they would use and compares the latter to a computer, it gives Leo an idea of how they can beat him.
Mike studies the disc back on the Astro Megaship, and D.E.C.A. reveals the laser Villamax and Kegler are building. However, due to the disc's damage, she cannot tell him more.
Meanwhile, the Rangers return to the site and see the laser being built, only for Chameliac and the Stingwingers to ambush them. The Rangers morph and fight the Stingwingers as Chameliac goes after Leo again. Chameliac switches to Leo's fighting style, bragging that he knows all the latter's moves. In response, Leo sheathes his Quasar Saber and uses a move Damon would commonly use. Then, Maya appears and uses Kai's Cosma Claw to attack Chameliac. Damon follows by using Kendrix's wildcat scratches, Kai using Maya's wolf grab, and Kendrix using her Quasar Saber with Leo's Magna Talon. Because the Rangers borrowed attacks from each other, it left Chameliac confused as he never saw that in his scans. Once Chameliac is disoriented, Leo summons his Astro Cycle and transforms it into the Capsular Cycle. With it, Leo activates Fireball Mode and charges at Chameliac, heavily damaging the monster.
Chameliac grows into a giant, but the Rangers summon the Galactabeasts in response. However, Villamax aims the laser at Galactabeasts and prepares to fire at them. Before the laser is charged up, Mike arrives as the Magna Defender and uses the Magna Blaster to shoot at the laser, destroying it and saving the Galactabeasts.
With the Galactabeasts safe, the Rangers form the Galaxy Megazord. Chamiliac copies the Galaxy Megazord Saber and strikes at the Rangers, forcing Leo to summon the Stratoforce Megazord for help. When it arrives, Chameliac copies the Stratoforce's boomerang weapon, only to be surprised when the Megazord brings out the Centaurus Megazord's blaster instead. Once again, Chameliac is left confused by this new information as the Stratoforce Megazord blasts him, and the Rangers activate the Galaxy Megazord Power-Up Mode to finish him off.
Later that day, Mike goes on another run, this time with Leo. As they rest, the Lion Galactabeast comes to the Corbett brothers, thanking Mike for saving him and the others.

Zords[]
Song[]
- Best of the Best of the Best (instrumental)
Errors[]
- While mimicking Kendrix's fighting style, Damon attacked Chamiliac's shoulders but in the next shot it was his face that appeared to be damaged.
- When Mike morphs, the viewers can see the word Galaxy printed on the right wrist piece of his Morpher indicating his actor is using a toy.
- When the Rangers are defeated by Chameliac they are shown rolling down a hill despite being nowhere near any kind of slope at the time.
- When the Rangers arrive to help Mike, Leo says "Alright Chameliac, that's enough!", despite having just encountered Chameliac for the first time and not knowing his name.
Notes[]
- Valerie Vernon returns to the series in this episode and remains until Kendrix's departure in The Power of Pink.
- Despite this, the Pink Ranger is voiced by another (uncredited) actress in this episode.
- The instrumental version of the In Space battle theme, "Best of the Best of the Best", was used in the background during the Megazord battle against Chameliac.
- A similar plot from this episode would later be used in the Power Rangers Dino Thunder episode "Copy That".
- Information about the Power Rangers can be read from the Scorpion Stinger data; it was read by Chameliac Warrior to copy their fighting styles. The information is as follows:
- "POWER RANGERS. Status: human beings with superhuman strengths and abilities dedicated to protecting any life form in peril or need for emergency assistance. Fighting skills far exceed any other human and many non-human lifeforms."
- This marks the only time the Galaxy Rangers morph together with a morphing sequence at the same time (with Kendrix).
- Some of the battles Chamiliac analyzed were from Gingaman episodes that were not adapted for Power Rangers (indicating the Rangers had fought some battles off-screen).
- This is the last episode to adapt using a different Gingaman episode while Kendrix Morgan is an active Ranger instead of stock footage.
