Having been transferred from the Matsuyama Branch where he served as kitchen apprentice, Hime arrived at J.A.K.Q. HQ following the appointment of Sokichi Banba as leader of J.A.K.Q., introducing himself to Ryu Higashi and Bunta Daichi to him he shown his credentials. Taking it upon himself to ensure that the team were refreshed in both body and spirit, Hime later entered the control room of J.A.K.Q. while they were contemplating the threat of CRIME's Atomic Witch. Offering to make lunch for the team, his efforts were not welcomed as he started frying eggs as he would in his own kitchen. His subsequent effort to cheer up the team by telling a funny story was equally rejected as he was forced out of the room while pleading to join the team with the offer to brighten things up, to which Bunta told him that becoming one of the J.A.K.Q. was not so simple before Ryu threw him out of the room despite his protests.
