Possible Explanation For The Existence Of Extraterrestrial Sources Of Ninja Steel[]
Although, to my knowledge, it was never explicitly mentioned on the show, the rangers would have probably been wondering the answers to these questions: "Where did the Ninja Steel and the Ninja Nexus Prism originally come from?"; "How did the Prism become encased in the Steel?"; and "Why did the Prism specifically come to Earth in order to get away from Galvanax?".
Well, this is what I think. We all know that the Ninja Nexus Prism came to Earth from (an unknown point of origin in) space. And we all know that Galvanax had already been pursuing the Prism through space before it first came to Earth. I think that the Prism came from (and, maybe, was also a part of) a planet that was rich in Ninja Steel ore (and possibly also Super Ninja Steel ore). At some time in the past (probably centuries ago), I think Galvanax discovered the existence of the Prism, and its power, and he wanted that power for himself. Mick said that the Steel was unstable without the Prism's power. That instability, brought on by Galvanax's attempts to steal the Prism's power, may have caused the Prism's planet of origin to be destroyed, with the Prism surviving the destruction, but becoming completely covered in molten Ninja Steel as it gets blasted away from the planet's remains in the explosive shockwave.
So Mick's assumption that there might be other sources of Ninja Steel in deep space, in addition to what came with the Prism, is entirely logical if one thinks about it, even though there's no canonical explanation is actually given for his assumption.
