Takonpas (タコンパス, Takonpasu): Octopus-like Jet fighters which could switch to a "walking" mode. Takonpas fighters seems to be a direct homage to the Martian Tripods in H.G. Wells' novel, War of the worlds. Piloted by the Barlo Soldiers.

Abilities

Able to fly in both space and atmosphere, the Takonpas are also able to shift from flight mode into a four-legged walker mode where the lower half of the wings fold down to form the legs.

• Pulse Canon: The Takonpas's primary weapon in flight mode, a pulsing sequence of ring shaped energy blasts projected from the interior wing projections.
• Minigun: The Takonpas's weapon in walker mode which extends from beneath the cockpit.
