THQ Inc. (also known as Toy HeadQuarters) was an American video game development and publishing company based in Agoura Hills, California. Founded in April 1989 by Jack Friedman, the company developed products for home video game consoles and handhelds, personal computers and mobile devices. They were best known for working on third party titles for WWE, Nickelodeon and Disney. They also created franchises like Company of Heroes, Darksiders, De Blob, Destroy All Humans!, Drawn to Life, Homefront, Juiced, Metro 2033, MX vs. ATV, Red Faction, Saints Row, and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War.
THQ developed six games under the Power Rangers brand.
The company filed for bankruptcy in 2012, and was shuttered in 2013, one year later,
It would be acquired by Nordic Games in 2014, and was then renamed into THQ Nordic in 2016.
As of 2025, THQ is a brand under the broader portfolio of Embracer Group, which also owns Dark Horse Comics (now Dark Horse Media).
