This article is about a changer in Samurai Sentai Shinkenger.

"Sushi Changer, Ikkan Kenjō!"
―Transformation call[src]

The Transformation Cellphone Sushi Changer (変身携帯スシチェンジャー Henshin Keitai Sushi Chenjā) is Shinken Gold's transformation device, which is a flip phone designed to resemble a piece of nigirizushi, a recurring theme for Genta Umemori even before he became Shinken Gold.

Overview[]

After receiving the Ika Disc from Takeru Shiba as a going-away present as a child, Genta studied its power and design, and was eventually able to create the Sushi Changer based on what he understood. Genta was not raised to become a samurai, and as such, never received formal calligraphy training, but his study of the Ika Disc allowed him to create what was later referred to as "Electronic Mojikara" (電子モヂカラ Denshi Mojikara), which he utilizes by typing in command codes on the Sushi Changer via text-messaging.

Locking a Secret Disc into place on the back of the Sushi Changer allows Genta to access the Disc's power. To transform, Genta hits the button with the Light Kanji, making the Sushi Changer announce "Welcome!" (いらっしゃいぃ Irasshaii) before the Sushi Disc is inserted onto its slot on the Sushi Changer. Once done, Genta calls out "Consistent Presentation!" (一貫献上! Ikkan Kenjō!) and points the Sushi Changer forwards with the light pointer facing away from him, creating a copy of kanji of "light" much like the core Shinkengers would with their ShodoPhones. Once done, a giant "light" kanji made from Electronic Mojikara forms Genta's Shinkenger uniform, which calls the Sakanamaru, then Shinken Gold's helmet is formed when the kanji hits his face.

For the most part, Genta only uses the Sushi Changer to transform, and to summon the Ika and Ebi Origami using his three Discs. When an Origami Disc is inserted to summon an Origami and pressing 9-9-9, the Sushi Changer will announce "Here You Go! <Origami Name>" (へい、 お待ち!<折神の名前>! Hei, Omachi! (Origami no Namae)!) He can also use this to transform the Ebi Origami into its mecha form by pressing 1-2-2.

At the climax of the Legend War, the Sushi Changer as a transformation device was made redundant when Shinken Gold sacrificed his powers with the rest of the first 34 Super Sentai to destroy the invasion force of the Space Empire Zangyack. Resurfacing as a Ranger Key, the power of Shinken Gold would be used by the Gokaigers to assume the form via the Gokai Change. Ultimately, the Gokaigers returned their borrowed powers to their rightful owners after overthrowing Zangyack.
