This article is about a series of concerts in the Super Sentai series. |
Super Sentai Spirits (スーパー戦隊“魂”(スピリッツ) Sūpā Sentai Supirittsu, Abbreviated as "SSS") is a series of concerts featuring Super Sentai Series songs performed by their original artists.
Overview[]
Part of the ANIME JAPAN FES concert series and derived from Super Hero Spirits, Super Sentai Spirits is a reoccurring live event that features songs from the Super Sentai series. The first event was held in Tokyo in 2004, and then held every other year until 2010 where it became a yearly event. In 2008, it was extended to be a two-day event, and in 2010, it was expanded to Osaka as well as Tokyo.
The radio personality and former stuntman Shocker OH!NO (ショッカーO野 Shokkā Ono) acts as the MC for each event. The shows traditionally end with a performance of "Himitsu Sentai Gorenger" with all artists on stage. The performers that have appeared each year to date are Isao Sasaki, Mitsuko Horie, MoJo, Akira Kushida, Takayuki Miyauchi, Yukio Yamagata, Hideaki Takatori, and YOFFY.
As of 2023, the only opening songs that have not been performed by their original artists are "Secret Kakuranger" and "Seiju Sentai Gingaman".
