Sunabakutou (砂爆盗 Sunabakutō) is a scorpionfish-themed Majin of the Space Pirates Barban and also one of Sword General Budoh's Four Shoguns. He was also known as Sand thief because of his abilities. He serves as the primary antagonist of the episode "Chapter 19: The Vengeful Knight".
History[]
Early life[]
He was one of the Majin Beasts, who were present on the planet Taurus, when Captain Zahab abducted Black Knight and his younger brother Krantz. Despite Black Knight surrendered to Zahab, the evil pirate captain murdered his innocent younger brother, before destroying the planet to obtain more ingredients for his eternal life potion. However, Black Knight survived and swore to get revenge on Balban for their treachery.
Gingaman[]
In the nineteenth episode, Budoh sends Sunabakutou to find the Lights of Ginga. The villain attacked Tokyo and started fighting the Gingamen, once the Rangers arrived. However, the monster tried to escape the Rangers, while still pursuing his goal, the search for the Lights of Ginga. Later, after some hard fighting with Gingaman, Black Knight appeared and started fighting with Sunabakutou. Monster fought the alien knight, but after realising that he started losing the fight, Sunabakutou decided to use the extremely unfair tactics and captured an innocent girl, using a child like a shield. However, Black Knight didn't care about that and was willing to destroy Balban at any cost, even by shooting a girl with his blaster, showing that he doesn't care about sacrificing innocent people to take his revenge on the space pirates. However, Gingaman stopped Black Knight and taught their ally morality about not hurting an innocent people. Ryoma had an important talk with the Knight about saving innocent lives. Later, Sunabakutou returned and again attacked the city, continuing his search for the Lights of Ginga. The beast again encountered Gingaman and fought the heroes, before Black Knight returned and together the Rangers and their friend bested Sunabakutou with their weapons. However, similarly his predecessors and successors, the alien pirate used his Balban extract and enlarged himself. After the short-lived battle, Sunabakutou was destroyed permanently with Bull Taurus. TV STORY-Chapter 19: The Vengeful Knight
Personality[]
Sunabakutou was a fierce Majin of the Budoh Majin Mob's Four Shogun. He was one to take advantage of an opportunity should it present itself, such as striking Ryoma and BullBlack with their backs turned. He also displays cowardly tendencies of using a hostage such as BullBlack's younger brother, Krantz, and a little girl to force a fight into his favor. However, overall, Sunabakutou was nothing but a selfish coward, who was willing to kill innocent people and his death was deserved, even if Gingaman still had to teach their friend Black Knight about their morality of protecting the innocent individuals, such as peaceful citizens of Tokyo.
