Sugarhit was a dwarf/bakery/confection-themed Sporix Beast in Power Rangers Dino Fury Season 2 and the twenty-seventh/third-to-last Sporix Beast to awaken in the Power Rangers Dino Fury series. He served under Mucus and is the main antagonist of the season 2 episode of Dino Fury "Guilt Trip".

History

Past

Over 65 million years ago, Sugarhit and the other Sporix Beasts invaded Rafkon, the home planet of Zayto. Though he and his fellow Knights of Rafkon fought hard, the Sporix ravaged Rafkon and removed all traces of life from the planet. The Sporix then turned their attention to Earth but Zayto and the remaining Knights had managed to escape Rafkon and tracked the Sporix Beasts to Earth where they engaged them in battle with the help of the dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. Despite the Knights initially having the upper-hand against the Sporix, most of them grew enough in power over time to grow giant and force the Knights of Rafkon and their dinosaur allies to retreat. When all seemed lost however, the Morphin Masters arrived and bestowed the Morphin Grid's powers to Zayto and his followers, as the first Ancient Dino Fury Rangers which gave them the advantage they need to defeat the Sporix Beasts and seal them inside of their eggs.

Dino Fury

Sugarhit was first seen near Osaka castle by one of Dr. Lani Akana's Japanese Researchers' laptop, to which after the Rangers appear, having also viewed this monster in their base on Solon's computer. Aiyon and Lani then notice Sugarhit after the monster both rained down whip cream on the latter and threw a pie at the Gold Ranger while the Gold Ranger commented that it was "too sugary". Aiyon then does battle with Sugarhit, and although he was hit by many kinds of pies (minus the Granny Smith Apple as he was able to avoid it, as does Dr. Akana), even after being directly hit by the Beast’s chocolate and berry pies, he was able to keep fighting and then morph into his Ranger form to then battle this dwarf-like creature after Mucus appears and explains that Sugarhit is a skilled baker. Despite Mucus summoning an army of Hengemen to aid Surgarhit, the rest of the Rangers appear to aid the Gold Ranger and battle the Hengemen while the Gold Ranger still does battle with Sugarhit. After taking a beating, Surgarhit brings out his cake spatula and then creates a cake icing-like wall to protect himself from the Gold Ranger's attacks. The Gold Ranger then jumps in as Sugarhit fires his Pavlova Berry Surprise at him, to which the latter was able to evade with ease, making a clean hit on the beast and breaking though his wall. Right before the rest of the Dino Fury Rangers appear, Mucus appears and both she and Sugarhit teleport away.

Sugarhit is later on seen in a village as the Green and Black Rangers appear and do battle with him, but they were overpowered. The other Rangers appear and the Gold Ranger does battle with Sugarhit after the Black and Green Rangers were defeated. Although they were evenly matched, the Gold Ranger manages to overpower Sugarhit and sends him flying with a kick after slamming the dawf-like monster's foot with a bench, though the Sporix Beast manages to grow in size. The Dino Fury Power Rangers then summon the Mosa Razor Zord and the Gold Ranger then transforms it into Battle Mode while the Red Ranger summons the Shadow Raptor Zord and Light Raptor Zord and combines them with the Mosa Razor Zord Battle Mode to form the Mosa Cosmic Megazord. As the Rangers battle Sugarhit with their new Megazord combination, the Beast uses his weapon to form his icing shield and guard against the Megazord's attacks. However, the Mosa Cosmic Megazord was able to phase though it and with its Cosmic Gateway Strike, Sugarhit was defeated and his Sporix egg form falls and lands on the ground. As Mucus appears and attempts to grab Sugarhit's Sporix Egg, the Rangers appear and the Blue Ranger was able to acquire it, much to her dismay and annoyance as she "wanted his pies for breakfast". Sugarhit participates at the invasion of the Sporix during the final battle against the Rangers and the Rafkonians. He appears along with Tombtress and Bitscreem to fight the Rangers and the Rafkonians after Shockhorn, Junkalo and Quickspine's defeats. They are defeated off-screen by the Rafkonians, their Sporix Eggs were used by Void Queen to create an all new and powerful Chimera-themed Sporix Beast that is a fusion of all the Sporix Beasts, the Nemesis Beast, and after the Rangers' victory, they are imprisoned forever by Master Red, Blue and Green in a crystal. Sugarhit acts very much like a baker, in which he loves to make sweets.

Powers

• Pavlova Berry Surprise: From the pink icing-style horn on his head, Sugarhit can fire strawberry-style energy balls/lasers in either rapid succession like a machine gun, spread, or single shots.
• Whip Cream Shower: Sugarhit can rain down whip cream on his enemies.
• Teleportation: Sugarhit can teleport to any location in a column of purple energy.
• Enlarging: Sugarhit can enlarge himself by tapping into the energy he gains while fighting.

Abilities

• Martial Arts Intuition: Sugarhit possesses an innate understanding of martial arts.
  • Strength: Through his martial arts intuition, Sugarhit possesses a great deal of strength, enough to shatter wood into splinters.
  • Master Hand-to-Hand Combat: In addition to Sugarhit's amazing strength, he is a master fighter in hand-to-hand combat.
• Talented Baker: True to his name, Surgarhit is a skilled baker.

Weaknesses

• Sensitive Foot: Sugarhit is shown to be very sensitive to damage on his foot, as shown when the Gold Dino Fury Ranger slammed a bench on his foot.

Arsenal

• Cake Spatula Sword: Sugarhit wields a spatula-style sword for combat.
  • Meringue Icing Wall: Sugarhit can create a layer of white meringue icing with his spatula sword to protect himself.
• Fists: Even without any weapons, Sugarhit can use his bare hands in battle.
  • Pie Creation: Sugarhit can create pies of any type in his hands and shoot them at opponents, such as:
    • Lemon Meringue
    • Chocolate
    • Berry Berry
    • Granny Smith Apple
  • Confection Generation: As stated by Mucus, Sugarhit can also generate and shoot confections (cakes, muffins, cookies, doughnuts, etc.) from his hands, though they were never used in battle against the Dino Fury Rangers.

• Sugarhit's design appears to be a combination between bakery sweets and a dwarf.

Etymology

• Sugarhit's name is a pronunciation of the words "Sugar" and "Hit". It could also be a play on "Sugar Rush", a term for an effect in which the person gets super exited after eating too many sweets or drinks coffee.

Notes

• Sugarhit is the first and only Sporix Beast in the Power Rangers Dino Fury series to be fought outside of Pine Ridge as he was sent to Japan to fight the Rangers.
  • Sugarhit is also the final Sporix Beast to serve under Mucus, appear in modern times from the Sporix War flashback, and be caught by the Rangers before they lose all of their Sporix to the villains.
• Sugarhit is the last Sporix Beast of the Power Ranger Dino Fury series to serve as the main antagonist, as (excluding Nemesis Beast and he's also paired with Void Queen) the next two Sporix Beasts, Clawfare and Crashflood, serve as secondary antagonists.
  • Sugarhit is also the very last Sporix Beast to appear in a solo stand-alone episode of the Power Rangers Dino Fury series, as the last two-to-three Sporix Beasts appear in a multi-part episode that is part of the four-part series finale.
• Sugarhit is very similar to Half-Bake from Power Rangers Dino Super Charge, as they both are skilled in baking and appear in the sequel/new season of their respective shows and a Power Rangers show that is themed on dinosaurs.
