This is a STYLE GUIDE page- part of a series of supplements to assist you in your editing of the wiki. The STYLE GUIDE is currently in construction. Please be patient.

Here's a list of rules which must be followed on this wiki. Failure to do so will result in a block.

Sanction Guide

All sanctions prior to ban are to be accompanied by a warning on the user's talk page and a notification.

  1. If you wish to discuss an admin's reversion of your edit, you may take it to a talk page or the discord page for civil discussion. However if the admin turns out correct, then the edit stands.
  2. If you get blocked, do not create another account - that's called sockpuppetry. All secondary accounts will be permanently blocked on sight. The original account may also get blocked permanently.
  3. On the forum pages, you may discuss anything regarding Super Sentai and Power Rangers as long as it follows the rules of the forum pages and forum moderators. On the talk pages and message walls, only discuss matters relating to wiki operations. All posts on talk pages MUST be signed. It is a blockable offense if it is not signed.
  4. Do not add information to pages which hasn't been confirmed. If we suspect the information is false, it will be reverted, and repeat offenders will risk a block. If a Sentai episode title is labelled provisional, then it is not confirmed and should not be added.
  5. If information is confirmed, do not post it without a citation. When providing a source for spellings, and it is doubtful, we'll need two unless the source is the show itself. We don't want any more mistakes caused by merchandise errors, such as Kluger on the Dekaranger bluray instead of Kruger. Here is a list of acceptable sources, and some which are not permitted (and why they are not permitted).
  6. Pay attention to the Style Guide pages. We have specific rules for things like images and naming conventions.
  7. Do not upload watermarked images. They will be removed on sight. Non-watermarked images are fine, but please credit the source. Higher quality similar images (for example, to remove a timestamp or TV channel logo) are fine.
  8. Always cite images uploaded from RangerCrew and other sites by selecting the correct licensing template in the upload page. This gives credit to the owner of the image, who likely only asks for credit in return for its use. Images without such licensing will be deleted on sight.
  9. No edit warring- that is reversion and reverting back with no actual discussion - discuss disagreements on the talk page or the official Discord server. Edit warring will get pages protected and participants risk a block.
  10. Refer to the table below for a list of general sanctions. Administrators are there to implement sanctions based on clear rules. But if anything isn't covered an admin will discuss it with the concerned party before anything that results in a sanction.
  11. No backseat moderating. If you're not a bureaucrat, administrator, or forum moderator, you have no business telling off other editors. We'll see their offenses in Wiki Activity or Recent Changes. If you do see something wrong, revert it and let us decide if any sanctions are due.
  12. We are an English-speaking Wiki. When editing on the Wiki, use the American English spellings of a word rather than the British English spellings.
  13. Creating templates on the wiki is allowed, however using a brand new template on live pages will require a discussion with Administrators. Failure to do so will result in a block.
  14. Race-related editing: In this evolving world where representation matters and even the brands themselves are keenly participating in race discourse, race-related editing will be allowed once more. Categories will be opened up for PR actors of various races, and heritage, citizenship and nationality can be added to actor pages (and character pages when overtly mentioned).
  15. Sexual harassment, in all of its forms, is strictly prohibited and will be met with a permanent ban from RangerWiki. Sexual harassment includes, but is not limited to, unwanted messages of an explicit or sexual nature, the addition of objectifying/sexual information into the Wiki that does not meet our notability standards, and the sharing of explicit imagery or words on the RangerWiki platform.
  16. ALL rules from our discord server reflect across our other hub wikis, meaning that if you cause an issue on our server that causes you to be banned, your actions will reflect across your account by receiving the appropriate block.

Please remember that editing here is a privilege, not a right, and any form of unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated and could lead to a block.
