A list of image naming rules that users are expected to follow.

Character Profiles

This section will describe the naming conventions for various Character Profiles.
Common image ratios:


Super Sentai:

  • Showa-Heisei (1975-2005): 1440 x 1080
  • Modern Heisei-Onwards (2006-Onwards): 1920 x 1080


Power Rangers:

  • MMPR S1-RPM (1993-2009): 1440 x 1080
  • Samurai-Onwards (2011-Onwards): 1920 x 1080

Civilian Profiles

Purpose: The Civilian Profile is used to present the most common and familiar image of the character.
Naming rule: The full name of the corresponding character.
Example: Taiya Hando → Taiya Hando.png

Reprisal Profiles

Purpose: The Reprisal Profile is used to present the actor/actress reappearing after their respective series ends.
(PS: Actors that do not have any significant appearance changes or are reprising for the yearly VS movie should not be added.)
Naming rule: The full name of the corresponding character + series/special/movie reprising.
Example:
Captain Marvelous → Captain Marvelous (Twokaizer × Gokaiger).png
Kairi Yano → Kairi Yano (Zenkaiger vs. Kiramager vs. Senpaiger).png

Timeline Profiles

Purpose: The Timeline Profile is used to present the profile of the character in different years.
(PS:The difference with the Reprisal Profile is that the this only counts for their in-universe timeline and not the wider Super Sentai timeline.)
Naming rule: The full name of the corresponding character + the corresponding year.
Example:
Ranru Itsuki → Ranru Itsuki (2023).png
Souji Rippukan → Souji Rippukan (2114).png

Age Profiles

Purpose: The Age Profile is used to present the profile of the character in different ages.
Naming rule: The full name of the corresponding character + life stages.
Commonly used suffix: Baby, Toddler (rare cases), Child, Young, Teen, Adult,& Elderly.
Example:
Goroge → Goroge (Elderly).png
Rcules Husty → Rcules Husty (Teen).png
Yoko Usami → Yoko Usami (Toddler).png
Kagura Izumi → Kagura Izumi (Child).png
Utsusemimaru → Utsusemimaru (Baby).png

Uniform Profiles

Purpose: The Identities Profile is used to present the characters who have different identities.
(PS:This is limited to uniforms that represents a special identity or has great significance to a character.)
Naming rule: The full name of the corresponding character + identity/occupation name.
Example:
Toma Yoimachi → Toma Yoimachi (Lupinranger).png
Takuma Tsuzuki → Takuma Tsuzuki (Official).png
Haruka Kitou → Haruka Kitou (Student).png

Alternate Version Profiles

Purpose: The Alternate Version Profile is used to present an alternate version of a character.
Naming rule: The full name of the corresponding character + (version name).
Example:
Stacy → Stacy (Donbrothers).png
Haruka Kitou (Future) → Haruka Kitou (Future).png

Disguise Profiles

Purpose: The Disguise Profile is used to present characters in disguise.
(PS:Only applies when one character temporarily disguises themselves into another character. The monsters that have an original human form are not applicable.)
Naming rule:
The full name of the corresponding character + (The full name of the monster) + (Disguise).
The full name of the monster + (Human) ← use if the human name is unknown.
Example:
Cat Juto → Kenji Sayama (Cat Juto Disguise).png
Giwi Newzie → Giwi Newzie (Human).png

Possessed Profiles

Purpose: The Possessed Profile is used to present characters who are/were possessed.
Naming rule: The full name of the possessed character + (Characters with the Possess ability) + (Possessed).
Example:
Magine → Magine (God Possessed).png

Body Swap Profiles

Purpose: The Body Swap Profile is used to present characters who are/were body swapped.
Naming rule: The full name of the body swapped character + (Characters that have body swapped).
Example:
Don Dogoier → Don Dogoier (Body Swapped With Luka Millfy).png
Manta Bayarsh → Manta Bayarsh (Body Swapped With Toma Yoimachi).png

Disambiguation Profiles

Purpose: The Disambiguation Profile is used to distinguish between characters with the same name.
Naming rule: The full name of the character + (The corresponding series).
Example:
Hikaru → Hikaru (Gingaman).png
Hikaru → Hikaru (Magiranger).png

Ranger/Non-human Profiles

Primary Ranger Profiles

Purpose: The Primary Ranger Profile is used to present the main users Ranger profile.
Naming rule: Ranger name + Profile.
Example: Kiramai Red → Kiramai Red Profile.png

Other Users


Purpose: Used to present other users Ranger Profile.
Naming rule: Other People:Ranger name + (other user name) + Profile.
Example:
Zenkaizer → Zenkaizer (God) Profile.png
Papillon Ohger → Papillon Ohger (Yanma Gast) Profile.png

Form-exclusive Users


Purpose: Used for form-exclusive user Ranger Profile.
Naming rule: Same as above, but chooses the Ranger's exclusive form profile.
Example:
King Kuwagata Ohger → King Kuwagata Ohger (Jeramie Brasieri) Profile.png

Monster Profiles

Purpose: The monster Profile is used to present the monster profile.
Naming rule: Monster name + Profile.
The full name of the monster + (Human) ← use if the name is a few words.
Example:
Demonic General of Betrayal Galza → Galza Profile.png
Brajira of the Messiah → Brajira Profile.png
Lord Galza → Lord Galza Profile.png

Mecha Profiles

Purpose: The Mecha profile is used to present the Mecha profile.
Naming rule: Mecha name + Profile.
Example:
Kaizoku Gattai GokaiOh → GokaiOh Profile.png

Robo Profiles

Purpose: The Robo profile is used to present the Robo profile used as part of the larger/complete Mecha formation.
Naming rule: Robo name + Profile.
Example:
Boonboom Classic → Boonboom Classic Profile.png

Cockpit Images

Purpose: The Cockpit image is used to present the cockpit of a Mecha.
Naming rule: Mecha name + Cockpit + (Ranger/Civilian/Monster) ← use after the initial usage of the Cockpit.
Example:
Kaitou Gattai LupinKaiser → LupinKaiser Cockpit.png
Mashin Jouki → Mashin Jouki Cockpit (Steam Locomotive Jamen).png ← For when another user is present

Transformation Images

Purpose: The Transformation image is used to present the Transformation process of a ranger.
Naming rule:
Ranger name + Transformation.
Ranger name + Transformation + Step + Number ← Use for when a ranger has more than one transformation steps.
Example:
Kiramai Silver → Kiramai Silver Transformation.png

Rollcall Images

Purpose: The Rollcall image is used to present the Rollcall of a ranger.
Naming rule:
Ranger name + Rollcall.
Ranger name + Rollcall + Step + Number ← Use for when a ranger has more than one Rollcall steps.
Example:
Bun Red → Bun Red Rollcall.png
Super AkibaRed Rollcall → Super AkibaRed Rollcall Step 1.png
Super AkibaRed Rollcall → Super AkibaRed Rollcall Step 2.png

Episode Images

TV Episodes Image

Purpose: Images required for episode pages.
Naming rule: Ranger series short name + Episodes number/Final ← for the last episode.
Example:
Ep. 1: I am the King → King-Ohger 1.png
Number 25: Make it the Strongest → Lupinranger VS Patranger 25.png
Ep. 26: Shushuuto The Special → Gokaiger 26.png
Don 33: The Wasshoi Bird → Donbrothers 33.png
Final Mission: Eternal Bonds → Go-Busters Final.png

Title Card Images

Purpose: Displays the title cards in pages.
Naming rule: Short name of the title + Title Card
Example:
Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters vs. Beet Buster vs. J → Go-Busters vs. Beet Buster vs. J Title Card.png
Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger: The Secrets of King Rcules → The Secrets of King Rcules Title Card.png
Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger vs. Kiramager vs. Senpaiger → Zenkaiger vs. Kiramager vs. Senpaiger Title Card.png

Eyecatch Images

Purpose: Displays the eyecatch of a show.
Naming rule:
Sentai series short name + Eyecatch + Number ← use if not used in tandem with a new Post-break Eyecatch
Sentai series short name + Episode + Episode number + Eyecatch ← use if an episode has a specific Eyecatches
Sentai series short name + Eyecatch + Number & (a/b) ← use if there are different Eyecatches for Pre-break and Post-break
(PS: a is used for Pre-break;b is used for Post-break.)
Example:
Donbrothers → Donbrothers Eyecatch.png
Kiramager → Kiramager Eyecatch.png
4 Week Continuous Special Super Sentai Strongest Battle!! → 4 Week Continuous Special Super Sentai Strongest Battle!! Eyecatch.png
Zenkaiger Eyecatch Episode 9 → Zenkaiger Episode 9 Eyecatch.png
Akibaranger Season Tsuu Pre-break → Akibaranger Season Tsuu Eyecatch 1a.png
Akibaranger Season Tsuu Post-break → Akibaranger Season Tsuu Eyecatch 1b.png

Suit/Item Images

Item Images

Purpose: Displays the default form of Items.
Naming rule: Abbreviation of Ranger/Sentai series name + full name of items + (The state of the item at this time).
Example:
VS Changer → KSLVKSP-VS Changer.pngKSLVKSP-VS Changer (Dial Fighter).png

Suit Images

Purpose: Used for suit images. If the Sentai member have other form images, it shall keep the form name after the suit color word, regardless it's used for prefix or suffix.
Naming rule: Short version of Sentai team name + suit color
Naming rule: Short version of Sentai team name + suit color + form name
Example:
GekiRed → Geki-red.png
Max RyusoulRed → Ryusoul-redmax.png

Mecha Images

Purpose: Used for Mecha images.
Naming rule for Super Sentai: Abbreviation of Sentai series name + suit color.
Example:
Ryusoul Gattai KishiRyuOh Three Knights → KSR-KishiRyuuOh Three Knights.png

Media Related Images

Show Logo Images

Purpose: Logos used in the show page of the show.
Naming rule: Short version of Sentai season name + Logo.
Example:
Mashin Sentai Kiramager Logo → Kiramager Logo.png
Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger Logo → Zenkaiger Logo.png
Avataro Sentai Donbrothers Logo → Donbrothers Logo.png

Show Poster Images

Purpose: Logos used in the show page of the show.
(PS:For this set images specifically use the .jpg file format.)
Naming rule: Short version of Sentai season name + Poster.
Naming rule: Short version of Sentai season name + Arc name + Poster.
Example:
Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger Poster → King-Ohger Poster.jpg
Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger Poster → Boonboomger Poster.jpg
Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger 2nd LAP Poster → Boonboomger 2nd LAP Poster.jpg ← use for when there is a poster for a second arc

Team Images

Purpose: Team images used in various pages.
(PS:For this type of images specifically use the .jpg file format.)
Naming rule: Short version of Sentai team name + (Team).
Naming rule: Short version of Sentai team name + (Core Team) + Team. ← use for when there is a team that is conjoined with another team
Naming rule: Secondary Sentai team name. ← use for when there is a secondary team
Example:
Juken Sentai Gekiranger (Team)→ Gekiranger (Team).jpg
Engine Sentai Go-Onger (Team) → Go-Onger (Core Team).jpg
Go-On Wings → Go-On Wings.jpg
