Stephen Butterworth is a New Zealand actor who played an Egyptian Man in Power Rangers Operation Overdrive and voices Prince Vekar in Power Rangers Super Megaforce. He also voiced Meteor in two episodes of Power Rangers Dino Charge and Trackenslash in Power Rangers Dino Fury.
Stephen Butterworth has worked professionally in NZ within Live Theatre, Film and Television for over 30 years. His most challenging roles of his career both here and abroad were performed with Pop -Up Globe in roles such as Richard III, Maria in Twelfth Night, and Capulet in Romeo & Juliet. In 2022 he performed a principal role, Walter De Causey in Chess the Musical, produced by GnT Productions at the Auckland Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre. Appearing in various Television and Film roles Stephen’s screen highlights include international productions including Spartacus (Starz), Evil Dead (Sony), Power Rangers, Cowboy Beebop (Netflix), and Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (Amazon). Local New Zealand productions include Insider’s Guide to Happiness & Prosperity, Nothing Trivial, Fresh Eggs, The Dead Lands, and Shortland Street. Stephen is also working as a Tutor inspiring the young rangatahi of Aotearoa in the art form and values of Drama.
