Space.33: Launch! Battle Orion Ship (発進!バトルオリオンシップ Hasshin! Batoru Orion Shippu) is the thirty-third episode of Uchu Sentai Kyuranger. It features the full debut of the Kyutama Gattai Orion Battler after its brief appearance at the end of the previous episode. It also features return of Orion since his death in Space.30.
Synopsis[]
The Orion Spaceship meets its inevitable end! The Kyurangers are saddened by their loss of the Orion, but they are still resolute in freeing the universe, even without the Orion. Their next target is Planet Minami Juuji... but there is no hospital and no fleet there! Just when the Kyurangers were starting to feel despair, Eris from Planet Keel contacts them. She seems to have been keeping messages from Shou Ronpo! "Find the legendary Space Battleship, the Battle Orion Ship." Lucky and the others start to search for the battleship immediately. But suddenly, Kukuruga and one of his Karo stand in a burning path before the Kyurangers...
Plot[]
The ten modern Kyurangers are in an abandoned warehouse discussing how to get to Don Armage in the Southern Cross, as the Orion was destroyed and their Voyagers could not fly that far. They debate stealing a Moraimars before Eris arrives with a message from Shou, whom had taken the place of Orion in her memories. Shou's message directed the Kyurangers to the Battle Orion ship, which he had prepared in the event that their original Orion ship was destroyed. Tsurugi explains that the plans were originally Orion's but that Shou must have finished it. Jark Matter, however, knows they are heading there and deploys to meet them.
On the way to the cave, Lucky and Tsurugi pass by the grave they had dug for Orion 300 years ago, his club still leaned against the marker. As the other find the cave, however, the group is ambushed, with Balance, Hammie, and Spada being hit by a beam from the latest Karo. The beam inverts their personalities by removing Balance's humor, giving Hammy the personality of an old woman, and making Spada irritable. Additionally, they seem to defy every order or request given to them by the other Kyurangers, who ultimately decide to put them to sleep using the Kyutama and carry them to the Battle Orion Ship.
Upon entering the powerless ship, they find that the bridge is similar to the original Orion with one exception—a cold sleep chamber that Lucky, Garu, and Kotaro open to find Shou inside. Shou explained that even in the past, he had realized that Don Armage somehow survived his fight with Lucky. Consequently, after spreading the legend of the Kyurangers across the galaxy to ensure their creation in the modern day, he'd built the Battle Orion Ship and put himself in cold sleep with Champ's help. At that moment, Jark Matter attacks the cave from above, trying to bury the ship before it can launch. Shou then reveals the ship cannot move without the Orion Kyutama, which he was unable to find despite searching the universe. He explains that Lucky, who has already inherited Orion's power through the Saiko Kyutama, has the best chance of finding it.
Tsurugi exits as to fight the Moraimars in Gigant Houou while Lucky leaves to take on any ground forces. Hammie, Spada, and Balance reawaken and force their way out to fight, with only Naga able to follow them before the doors close; without power, the rest of the Kyurangers are stuck inside.
As the ship orbits Earth and the voyagers are loaded inside it, the Kyurangers busy themselves with cleaning the deck and making themselves at home, with Spada excited about cooking in the new kitchen. As they celebrate, Stinger asks Shou what happened to Champ. Shou explains that after Champ sealed his cold sleep chamber, he decided to search for Doctor Anton once more in order to find out about his past.
