Sonoshi (ソノシ ) was the fourth member and the Inspector of the Noto, who held the mantle of the Akahade Mask, who arrives in the human world to observe the Noto trio and bring them back in line. Like the other Noto members, Sonoshi also possesses their own transformed form.
Sonoshi later briefly turned into a beast-themed Hitotsuki called Seijuuki (星獣鬼 Seijūki, lit. Starbeast Demon), possessing a Gingaman Avataro Gear, against their will through a plan concocted by the Noto trio and the Donbrothers to get them out of their way. Sonoshi later evolves into Seijuuking (星獣鬼ング Seijūkingu).
History
Arrival
On Earth, Sonoshi is on the move, observing and taking notes about the Noto Trios on their phone.
Later, Sonoshi barges into an Oden cart where the Donbrothers are eating, knocking over their meals and insulting the cart owner about human food. Taro calls the individual rude and they respond by playing an ocarina to summon Anoni. The Donbrothers transform to deal with them, with Sonoi knowing who the masked individual is, revealing them to be a fourth member of the Noto: Sonoshi.
Back at their base in Ideon, Sonoshi reveals they are the acting Inspector of the Council, sent to oversee the battles of the Trio and if they are worthy of their positions.
Sonoi tries to defend their worthiness but Sonoshi rebuffs that they are aiding their enemies and cites evidence of that happening, such as Sonoi saving Taro after defeating him, Sonoza helping Haruka’s manga, and Sononi becoming friends with Tsubasa Inuzuka. Sonoza is in the most trouble, as Sonoshi inquires what her relationship is with him. Sonoshi believes that they all are becoming weak and as their superior, they expect better from them. The Trio bow reluctantly, with Sonoza throwing a fit before doing so.
Sonoshi measures the level of their bows, criticizing Sonoi for not lowering his head far enough. They then give an ultimatum: destroy the Donbrothers immediately and depending on their performance, Sonoshi will decide if the Noto Council will hold an inquiry or not on all of them. If they fail, they all will be demoted and forced to scrub floors indefinitely for the rest of their lives. They request before battle that they “announce themselves” to the Donbrothers, to show proof and pride in being Noto warriors.
At Cafe Donbura, Sonoshi show up with a fire extinguisher and “disinfect” the cafe and the Donbrothers. They then introduce themselves and issue a challenge to a duel for the entire team. Both teams will play for keeps and Sonoshi reveal that Haruka has been fraternizing with Sonoza about her manga before leaving.
Later on, Sonoshi “disinfects” an outdoor cafe and kidnaps the human patrons with Anoni they summon through invisible doors. Sonoi finds Sonoshi’s behavior unacceptable and more like a Hitotsuki. As their superior finishes their task, the Donbrothers teleport in and Taro inquires what Sonoshi is doing, to which they respond that they are “cleaning” the filthy human world and equips their armor, intending to do the same to the Donbrothers.
Taro declares a “cleaning contest” as they engage the inspector, but even Taro struggles to deal with Sonoshi as they use Haruka as a shield to stop him from attacking. Annoyed, Taro knocks Haruka away and continues to clash with Sonoshi, which upsets her. Sonoshi beats down and utterly humiliates the Donbrothers and teleports away, stating they will not be the one to finish them.
Later, Sonoshi watches the fight on a patio chair in the shade. Jiro rushes in to interrupt the Donbrothers' roll call, wanting to be part of it, with both personalities then announcing themselves.
The fight begins and after an intense sword battle between Sonoi and Taro, the latter seemingly succumbs to fatal wounds and collapses. Sonoshi goes to inspect the body to confirm Taro is dead, but then the other Noto spring their trap as Sonoi reveals that they have taken advantage of Taro’s peculiar malady of dying after telling a lie to stage a distraction. Sonoshi’s strong desire to punish the Trio for insubordination forcibly turns him into the Gingaman Hitotsuki, Seijuuki.
Taro wants to fight upon revival but Sonoi says he and the other Noto will handle Sonoshi, changing into his Kyokatai Form and successfully weakening Seijuuki, but he hesitates to finish the fight. Taro equips his GolDon armor and uses Festival End in tandem with Don Torabolt’s Thunder God Prowling White Tiger to defeat Seijuuki. Seijuuki becomes Seijuuking with Toradragonjin and GolDon Onitaijin tag teaming to face him, swiftly purifying Sonoshi with the Jiro’s Hurricane and DonBros Utopia. A defeated Sonoshi angrily exclaims they will remember this betrayal and escapes. TV STORY-Don 37: I and Ni and Za and Shi
Post-Hitotsuki
Right after Hyakujuking's defeat, Sonoshi returns along with their two new subordinates, Sonogo and Sonoroku and attacks Hyakujuki. Afterwards, they imprison Tsuyoshi much to Shinichi's and Haruka's horror.
Sonoshi and co boot out Sonoi and co for having fraternized with humans. They hunt them down while tormenting humans at the same time. When Sekaiki has absorbed Don Momotaro, Sonoshi takes advantage of this to deal with the Don Brothers and the defected Noto trio once and for all. They trap Sekaiki as bait to lure the heroes out and throw them to Sekaiki to be absorbed. However, Sonoi manages to outmaneuver him and co and save everyone.
In a last ditch effort, Sonoshi forcibly transforms Minoru Ono into Ohsamaki and sics it on the Donbrothers, only for it to turn on them instead. Death
TV STORY-Don Final: We Have Made True Bonds After Ohsamaki is defeated by Don Momotaro, Sonoshi and co are deemed failures by the Noto Council, who has sent Sonoya and Sonona to dispose of them. Sonoshi is the last to perish, being killed by Sonoya when he is trying to run away
Personality
Sonoshi is flamboyant, over the top and condescending. They have no qualms using their status as an inspector to bully the Noto trio, using discipline as a front. Unlike them, Sonoshi has no interest in humanity, treating humans and the products they make as little more than dirty trash that needs to be "cleaned up" by force. These insufferable traits are one of the main driving forces behind the trio's eventual defection to the Donbrothers.
It is shown that Sonoshi also has a vindictive side, bearing a grudge against Sonoi because the latter beat them in a middle school election. Beyond their general overbearing personality, another reason why Sonoshi antagonizes the heroes is because they have turned them into a Hitotsuki against their will once.

Behind the Scenes
Portrayal
- Sonoshi is portrayed by Tomoki Hirose (廣瀬 智紀 Hirose Tomoki).[1] While transformed, their suit actor is Kenya Saitou (齊藤 謙也 Saitō Kenya).[2]

- Seijuuki and Seijuuking's animal designs refer to GingaLeon and GigaPhoenix, while the skull motif refers to the Space Pirates Balban.
Etymology
- Sonoshi's name is a play on "sono shi", meaning "part four".
- "Seijuu" is Japanese for "Starbeast", and refers to Seijuu Sentai Gingaman.
Notes
- Skin Name:
- Seijuuki: Beast’s Armor Shine (獣装の光 Juuso no Hikari)
- Seijuuking: Super Armor’s Light (超装の光 Chōso no Hikari)
- Sonoshi is the first of the Noto to become an Hitotsuki.
- Sonoi originally stated that Noto cannot become Hitotsuki because they have no desire. However, they later state that there is a secret method which could turn a Noto into a Hitotsuki with the method in question being normally done by harvesting a premature Hitotsuki from a human before the mutation is complete and then transplanting it into the targeted Noto.
- TV-Asahi's website states that Sonoshi became a Hitotsuki out of their desire to punish those who have wronged them. While Sonoi themselves had indeed claimed that the Noto people are incapable of becoming Hitotsukis, Sonoi had also noted that even though Sonoshi did not naturally transform into a Hitotsuki, they are behaving like a Hitotsuki due to the inspector themselves acting on their desire of punishing those that have wronged them in someway.
- They are the only member of the Noto Inspectors whose powers weren't stolen.
- Seijuuki's skin name is a reference to the Gingamen's Beast Armor Shine.
- Seijuuking's skin name and power is a reference to the Gingamen's Lights of Ginga.
Gender Identity
According to the production notes, Sonoshi is identified as "neither a lady or an effeminate man", confirming that they are non-binary.[3]
