Filmography

Notes

  • Bennett stated several reasons for Hasbro and Saban skipping over Super Sentai seasons such as ToQger, being that said season's toy sales were low in Japan, and merchandise sales play a big part in the Power Rangers franchise. He also stated that he did not foresee adaptations of either Lupinranger vs Patranger, Zyuohger nor Kyuranger any time soon. However, as seen with Beast Morphers' adaptation of Go-Busters and in Power Rangers: Universe with the Squadron Rangers' adaptation of Dairangers, future adaptations of these skipped seasons are not entirely ruled out, and ultimately may happen in another time or medium,
    • Regarding LuPat, the Patrangers are an issue due to recent incidents involving police brutality in the United States, with the Lupinrangers being un-adaptable as "Rangers can't be criminals".[6]
    • Though Bennett did adapt Kyuranger into Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, the Kyuranger suits themselves were not used due to a concerning difficulty of developing stories for 12 individual Rangers,[7] which was ultimately mitigated by using original suits instead[8], logistically reducing the amount of location scouting need to accurately match Sentai footage, which often times the results were not perfect.[9] This idea came about with Hasbro's recent capabilities of being able to film more original footage, allowing for more original storytelling and resulting in less Sentai footage being used per episode.[10]
  • In an interview with Blue Screen Reveals, Bennett stated he pitched an idea for a 31st season beyond Cosmic Fury to Hasbro which would have involved J.J. Oliver and Minh Kwan as Rangers.[11]
