Shozo Uehara (上原 正三 Uehara Shouzou) was a story and screenplay writer.
Initially writing in the genre for many of the early Ultra Series
, including as head writer of The Return of Ultraman in 1971, he became the main writer of all of the initial Super Sentai Series, from 1975's Himitsu Sentai Gorenger to 1981's Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan; he also returned for anniversary series Choriki Sentai Ohranger in 1995.
He also was the main writer for 1978's Spider-Man Tokusatsu; the first five Metal Hero Series (1982's Uchuu Keiji Gavan to 1986's Jikuu Senshi Speilban) and the initial main writer for 1987's Kamen Rider Black. Outside of Tokusatsu, he was a writer at Flagship for a Drama CD of Resident Evil (Biohazard in Japan) called BIO HAZARD DRAMA ALBUM ~The Doomed Raccoon City~ VOL.1 which were written by Noboru Sugimura, Hirohisa Soda, Junichi Miyashita, and Susumu Takaku.
