Shoko Nakagawa (中川 翔子 Nakagawa Shōko), born Shiyouko Nakagawa (中川 しようこ Nakagawa Shiyouko), is a Japanese actress and singer who guest starred as a child in Episode 42 of Chikyu Sentai Fiveman, and years later in Episode 38 of Tokuso Sentai Dekaranger as Falufian Yaako. Recently she guest starred as herself/DenziRed in No.1 Sentai Gozyuger: TegaSword's Resurrection.
Biography[]
Nakagawa was born and raised in Nagano and grew up playing Pokemon to escape from bullying. In 1991, she appeared in an episode of Chikyu Sentai Fiveman. In 2001, she made her professional debut as a media personality. In 2004, she guest starred in Tokuso Sentai Dekaranger.
In 2007, she performed Sorairo Days, the opening theme song to the anime series Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and Happily Ever After, an insert song for the anime.
Personal Life[]
- Nakagawa is a fan of Mirai Sentai Timeranger. She stood in line all night to watch the live Timeranger show at Kōrakuen Fairground (now Tokyo Dome City Attractions) in the front row.
- Nakagawa is a huge admirer of Mika Katsumura and notes that her favorite Sentai character is Yuri/Time Pink, Katsumura's character. Nakagawa had dreamed of being a Sentai Pink and auditioned for Super Sentai many times, but failed due to her lack of athletic ability. She also stated that Katsumura had inspired her to go into acting and modeling, and often uses her works as guides. They would later appear together in Men B together and become friends.
- Nakagawa is also a fan of the Kamen Rider Series
, particularly Kamen Rider Hibiki
as she sees its lead actor Shigeki Hosokawa
as an ideal man. She also admires Natsuki Kato
for playing the first official female Rider, Kamen Rider Femme
. - Her birth first name is actually Shiyouko, which stemmed from a handwriting mistake made by her maternal aunt when her birth was registered.
- Nakagawa was previously in a relationship with Ryota Ozawa, but they broke up after she found out about his child from a previous relationship.[1]
- Nakagawa was pregnant during the filming of No.1 Sentai Gozyuger: TegaSword's Resurrection.
