Shinichi Chikasugi (近杉 真一 Chikasugi Shin'ichi) is a teacher at Itsuboshi Gakuen. Given the nickname "Smiley", his hatred for students allowed him to use the Mazin System to become the Sun Halo Mazin (日輪魔人 Nichirin Majin).

- Pyrokinesis: As the Sun Halo Mazin, Shinichi can manipulate and control fire.
- Fireball Bomber: Shinichi can perform an attack called the Fireball Bomber where he expels a large blast of flames from his mouth.
- Sunshine Attack: An attack where shinichi can ignite his entire body and dash towards his enemies.

- Hand-To-Hand Combatant: As the Sun Halo Mazin, Shinichi is shown to be a strong and savage combatant.

- Sun Halo Mazin is based on Sun Halo Mask from Himitsu Sentai Gorenger. Sun Halo Mazin is the only Mazin who is based on a general.
