Shingo Takasugi (高杉 真吾 Takasugi Shingo) is Green2 (グリーンツー Gurin Tsū) of the Biomen. He is a race car driver who can be very tough to enemies yet very kind to children, for whom he has a soft spot.
History[]
He is the designated driver of the Bio Turbo. This is natural as he is the best driver on the team. He also break dances and this is incorporated into his attacks. His ancestor who received the Bio Particles was a hunter.
Bioman[]
During the first assault by Neo Empire Gear on Technotopia 21, Shingo is caught in the crossfire and runs into Bio Robo. Meeting Peebo, he is given a Techno Brace and became Green2.
TV STORY-Ep. 1: The Enigmatic Giant Robo Arrives When the Bio Robo breaks down when the engine circuit is damaged, he uses his own body to complete the circuit and is knocked out as a result.
TV STORY-Ep. 3: Our Friend, Bio Robo
Receiving a request to investigate the explosion of national research laboratory, Shingo and the other Biomen goes to a suspicious town. There, Shingo almost get attacked by a mecha-human. Fortunately, he can counter the mecha-human's attack before beating it into its explosion. Later, Green2's Super Electronic Scope plays a vital role in wiping all the mecha-humans trying to explode a building of Super Energy Research Facility, as well as defeating Mettzler.
TV STORY-Ep. 4: Self Destruct! Mecha-Humans
In order to investigate rain of gold coins in Kagiyama district, Shingo serves as an intel. He finds out that the initiator of the phenomenon, Golden Boss is Monster on Gear's plan to create a city of evil. Learning about the plan and the eyeglasses Monster uses to see the invisible Mummy Canth, he disguises as one of the thugs and steals some gold from some thugs. Unknowingly, his actions are imitated by a boy named Makoto, much to the latter's older sister's concern. When Makoto's sister asks Shingo to leave the city, he is attacked by the thugs demanding for the coins stolen earlier. Ultimately, he lets himself beaten in front of Makoto, before two thug-disguising Mechaclones arrest him to Monster/Golden Boss. There, he is beaten by Zyuoh before snatching the filtered eyeglasses from Monster and flee away. The glasess are proven to be useful to detect Mummy Canth and destroy it. After the fight, Shingo is seen wearing a pair of sunglasses, which is revealed to conceal his bruised left eye.

The past Sentai assist the Maskmen against Igum Dragon.
With his teammate Red1 as well as Dynamen DynaRed, DynaBlack and DynaPink, Green2 came to the aid of the Maskmen against Prince Igum and the Igum Dragon.

Shingo and his team joined up with the other nine Sentai to stand behind the newest Sentai, the Turborangers, as they faced off against the Hundred Bohma Tribes.

Years later, Shingo fought alongside not only his own team, but every single Sentai Ranger in existence, against the Empire of Zangyack when it attacked the Earth in the Great Legend War. After fighting against hundreds of Gomin and their Sugomin commanders, Akarenger noticed the fleet moving towards them. He gathered all the Rangers together and gave them the order to sacrifice their powers to wipe out the first invasion's armada. The Green2 powers are later used by Don Dogoier via the Ranger Keys.

The first 38 Sentai projected into Wild Tousai Shuriken King.
Green2 appeared with his team among the first 38 Super Sentai whom collectively empowered Wild Tousai Shuriken King in its fight against the titanic Gillmarda, granting the Ninningers and Zyuohgers the power to perform the Zyuoh Ninnin Super Sentai Burst which destroyed Gillmarda with the combined power of all 40 Super Sentai.

Personality[]
Yet despite his bravado, there are times when he doubts his own abilities. Once, he was depressed when a little boy's confidence in him was shattered. Another time, he doubted himself after he quit playing baseball as a high schooler. Yet despite these doubts, he knows what he must do and does them as well as possible. He pretended to be a criminal and ended up having a boy idolize and imitate him. To prove to the boy that crime does not pay, Shingo let himself be beaten up by street thugs while the boy was watching.

- Shingo Takasugi was portrayed by Naoto Ota (太田 貴彦 Oota Naoto).
- As Green2, his suit actor was Makoto Kenmochi (釼持 誠 Kenmochi Makoto), who also played Mettzler.
- His name in the English dub is Sammy.
- In the Korean dub of Bioman entitled Space Commando Bioman, which aired in South Korea, Shingo is renamed Kim Jin-ho (김진호?) while he keeps his ranger designation (그린 투 Geurin Tu?). He was voiced by the late Jang Jeong-jin (장정진?), who also voiced Monster, Mechaclone No. 1 and Aquaiger in the same series.
- In the Philippine-English language of the series, Shingo is voiced by Earl Palma who later go on to voice Steve Armstrong in the four episodes of Voltes V which became the movie called Voltes V: The Liberation.

The Green2 Ranger Key (グリーンツーレンジャーキー Gurīn Tsū Renjā Kī) is Shingo Takasugi's personal Ranger Key and what became of his powers after he along with the rest of the 34 Super Sentai sacrificed their powers to end the Great Legend War.
This key along with the majority of the Ranger Keys were collected by the Red Pirates and later used by the Gokaigers. The Green2 Ranger Key was mainly used by Don Dogoier (Gokai Green), who used it to fight as Green2.

TV STORY-Ep. 28: Wings are Eternal
The Bioman Keys, along with all the Ranger Keys of the first 33 Super Sentai, were briefly taken by the Black Cross King and turned into Ranger puppets that were fought by the Gokaigers and the Goseigers. Splitting up, the puppet Green2 was defeated as part of a group of surviving Green and Black warrior keys by Gokai Green and Super Gosei Black.

After Zangyack were finally defeated, the Gokaigers gave the Ranger Keys back to their rightful owners. Shingo received his key and became Green2 once more.
