Shigeru Kanai (金井 茂 Kanai Shigeru) is a Japanese actor and politician who played Yusaku Hayakawa/MegaSilver in Denji Sentai Megaranger. Prior to Sentai, Kanai appeared as Daisaku Katagiri
(G-Stag) in the Metal Heroes series Juukou B-Fighter.
In December 2010 he was a candidate for Japan's Democratic Party's official. In the 2011 local elections in Edogawa, held on April 24, he won the 10th with 4606 votes.
