The Shiba Clan is a long line of feudal lords that have been the Red Samurai Ranger, with the power and duty to defeat the Nighloks. Each member of the Shiba Clan resides in the Shiba House.

Known Heads

This unnamed man was the first head of the Shiba House, and the first Samurai Red Ranger, titled Red Samurai Ranger I.

The Grand Shogun was a head of the Shiba House and the leader of the Shogun Rangers, with an unknown number designation. In this era, they were charged with protecting the BullZord until they were forced to seal it away. It was later released in the 21st century by the Samurai Rangers of that generation.

Mr. Shiba was the 17th head of the Shiba Clan, titled Red Samurai Ranger XVII. During his final battle, he had failed to seal Master Xandred away, and sent his own daughter away to train in secret to master the Sealing Symbol, while leaving his son to act as the decoy head of the Shiba Clan.


The 18th generation is made up of two children, Lauren and Jayden. Lauren Shiba is the true 18th head of the Shiba Clan, titled 2nd Red Samurai Ranger XVIII. The eldest child of Mr. Shiba, she trained as a samurai in secret from birth to master the Sealing Symbol, while her brother Jayden Shiba acted as the "kagemusha" until her return. After Master Xandred's defeat, Lauren stepped down to allow Jayden to officially take her place as the 19th head, naming him 1st Red Samurai Ranger of the XVIII generation.

Red Samurai Ranger

As the Red Samurai Ranger, the head of the Shiba House is the Samurai of Fire (火の侍 Hi no Samurai) and can use the Black Box by itself to access Super Samurai Mode or with the Shark Sword access Shark Attack Mode.

Using a Samuraizer, the user can morph into the Red Ranger (male version).

Red Ranger morphs into his Mega Mode for Megazord battles. To change modes he morphs his Spin Sword into the Mega Blade.

Super Samurai Mode
For added power in close combat and ground battles, Red Ranger goes into Super Samurai Mode using the Black Box. The Rangers can only access this mode one at a time.

Super Mega Mode

Super Mega Mode
While in the Black Box's Super Mode, if a Megazord battle is necessary, the Red Ranger can morph his Spin Sword into the Mega Blade. The resulting combo is a mix of both Mega and Super modes. The Rangers can only access this mode one at a time.

Shark Attack mode

Shark Attack Mode
When the Red Ranger turns the Spin Sword into the Shark Sword he gains a new ground battle mode. This mode allows him to fully utilize the unique weapon.

Shark Attack Mega Mode

Shark Attack Mega Mode
While in Shark Attack Mode, if a Megazord battle is necessary, the Red Ranger can summon the SharkZord with his Shark Sword. The resulting combo is a mix of both Mega and Shark Attack modes.

Shogun Mode Red

While in Super Mega Mode or Mega Shark Mode, the Red Ranger can summon Shogun Mode. a powerful armor with the Shogun Buckle. The Rangers can only access this mode one at a time. This form also allows the Red Ranger to unleash the BullZord/Gigazord's finisher move.

When on ground, Shogun Mode can only be accessed by Red Ranger using the Shiba Fire Disc. With the Shiba Fire Disc "active" (just used, (regardless of who used it)) the Shogun Disc is then spun on the spin sword, allowing access to Shogun Mode so that it can be in used in ground battle outside of the Megazord or Zord cockpit. The Spin Sword is replaced with a Mega Blade.

Illusion Mode

This mode appeared during the first of Trickster's illusions. This mode does not power up nor power down Jayden.

This form is exclusive to Super Samurai Episode 21.



Ranger Costume

Samurai Ranger
A female head morphs into the Red Ranger using a Samuraizer (any version). Simultaneously, both the male and female versions can co-exist, as their powers are completely independent from one another.
