This article is about a/an episode in Power Rangers in Space, the last installment in the Zordon Era. |
Satellite Search is the sixth episode of Power Rangers in Space.
Synopsis[]
A NASADA satellite holding valuable information crash-lands on the planet Kalderon. The Power Rangers find it, but Astronema battles the Rangers and steals it from them. She ties the Rangers up to be eaten by a Clawhammer, leaving Alpha 6 to pilot the Astro Megazord against the monster and save his friends.
Plot[]
Two Velocifighters (one of them piloted by Elgar) shot down a NASADA Satellite and crash-landed on the planet Kalderon. He informs Astronema of the situation of his success. Astronema, however, threateningly orders Elgar to get down to the planet to find it and make sure the satellite is functional, that the satellite might know too much.
Elswhere, in the Astro Megaship, the Rangers gets a recorded urgent transmission from General Norquist that the NASADA satellite was attacked, shot and crash down into the planet Kalderon and informs the Rangers that within the satellite are the data discs. After the transmission ended, Cassie wonders why is Astronema after a satellite. Carlos theories that the satellite saw and recored something in the discs while it was exploring. Believing the data discs might know about Zordon's whereabouts but feared that Astronema knows about this too, Andros orders D.E.C.A. to set the Megaship's course for Kalderon at warp speed to get to the data discs first before Astronema.

Errors[]
- For some reason Astronema didn't immediately destroy the discs upon obtaining them from the Rangers.
- It is likely she wanted to verify whether the discs did contain the information she sought before destroying them.
- When Andros said "Good job, Alpha! We're back." upon the Rangers taking control of the Astro Megazord, a hand can clearly be seen behind his seat.
- Clawhammer was facing the Rangers when the Astro Megazord landed in front of him, but for some reason, he was walking away from the Rangers when he was fighting the Astro Megazord afterward.
- Carlos demorph color is green, his old one.
Notes[]
- The planet the Rangers visit in this episode, Kalderon, is named after Ray Calderon who created and was the former webmaster of noted websites Rangercentral and Rangerboard.
- Alpha 6 pilots the Astro Megazord in this episode, becoming the second Alpha robot to be able to pilot Zords. Alpha 5, his predecessor, is the first (when he piloted the Super Zeo Zords and Red Battlezord by remote control in "Where In The World Is Zeo Ranger 5?", and the Super Zeo Megazord in "Hawaii Zeo").
- This episode marks the first appearance of the alternate transformation sequence for the Astro Megazord. Instead of transforming in outer space, the Megaship transforms in front of a blue backdrop resembling a day sky.
- Astronema's real identity was hinted in this episode when her locket fell off during her fight with fighting Cassie.
Quotes[]
