The Sanagim (サナギム Sanagimu) are pupa-themed footsoldiers serving the Earth Empire Bug Naraku in Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger.[1] They are later included in the newly reformed In-between Land Bug Naraku under the leadership of Jeramie Brasieri, although some of them are forcibly work against their will for the Uchu through necromancy by Glodi Leucodium.
History[]
In the opening narration, a group of Sanagim would be shown being knocked back by Legend King-Ohger.
During the present invasion of the Bug Naraku , massive hordes of both normal and giant sized Sanagim were attacking Shugodom, many of them were slain by the King-Ohgers, one giant one in particular would be shot though the chest by Rita Kaniska, dozens also attempted to approach the dormant body of God Kuwagata being knocked by its roar as it was reawakened by Gira Husty. The hordes of Sanagim were seemingly wiped out after King-Ohger defeats Danjim. TV STORY-Ep. 1: I am the King
Another group of Sanagim appeared in Nkosopa attacking its civilians but were then slain by Gira Husty and Yanma Gast. TV STORY-Ep. 2: A King for Whose Sake
Timeskip[]
A large number of Sanagim were slaughered by Goma Rosalia, Hilbil Leech, and Minongan Moth when the Uchu first arrived on Earth. Some of their death bodies are then revived and controlled by Glodi Leucodium. TV STORY-Ep. 27: Arrival of The Uchu King
Personality[]
early on the series, the Sanagims isn't shown any particular emotion because of their nature as grunts in the series. But as the show goes on, Sanagim is starting to show emotions such as sadness (when Jeramie ask some of them to dig and pray for their fellow), and happiness (when the in-between land becomes a refuge and they are tasked to help the refugee).

- Size Enlargement: A Sanagim is able to grow in size by devouring a Shugod Soul.
Abilities[]
- Fireballs: A Sanagim is able to throw fireballs at their target, when giant sized, these fireballs when tossed by giant sized Sanagim can easily smash through structures.
- Climbing: Sanagim are shown able to climb the walls of Shugodom without falling off.
- Speech: The Sanagim are shown to be able to speak albeit one word at a time.

- Gun Shovel (ガンショベル Gan Shoberu): The Sanagim wield spade-based spears that can act as firearms for combat. The ammunition are later to be revealed to actually be tiny Sanagim launched out from the gun shovel doing the worm dance.

- The Sanagim's name originates from pupa (蛹 Sanagi).
Notes[]
- The Sanagim are one of the few foot soldiers that are capable of enlarging, and the first of such examples in the Reiwa Era. Unlike the last examples, like the Heisei Era's Porderman, the Sanagim can do so on their own accord and with little assistance.
- Unlike many Sentai Footsoldiers, the Sanagim have fully rendered CGI models of themselves.
