Sakito Homura (焔 先斗, Homura Sakito) is the universe's greatest settler, who transforms into Bun Violet (ブンバイオレット, Bun Baioretto), the Violet Ranger and Sixth Ranger of the Boonboomgers.

History

He is the best "Settler" in the universe, able to sort out any kind of trouble. With his excellent physical abilities and vitality, he overcomes all kinds of adversity and forges ahead on the path he finds interesting. In his youth, he was friends with Kakeru Osada who he shared his card collection of famous racers with. Sakito would lose his parents in an accident at the age of 10, leaving him an orphan. One night, he meets Byundy, who came from space alongside his companions, and requests them to take him to space, proclaiming there's nothing left for him on earth. Together, they have survived many ordeals.

Personality

Sakito works for himself, only doing things that tend to benefit him. He is seen helping the Hashiriyans, and later the Boonboongers, but for a price. His ideals are selfish, and only acted upon if there is something to be gained.

He would later open up and starting to work alongside the rest of the team as part of the Boonboomgers.

Powers

• Super Speed: By pulling the trigger on the Boonboom Controller, Bun Violet can move at the speed/form of purple lightning. He can also do this when not transformed.

Attacks

• Byunbyum Gatling (ビュンビュンガトリング, Byunbyun Gatoringu): Bun Violet uses a modified version of the Controller's muzzle as a large gatling gun in which he can fire a succession of rapid purple energy arrows at the opponent by pulling the Trigger. Once released, the arrows become faster to the point of breaking enemy defenses.
• Byunbyum Arrow Drive (ビュンビュンアロードライブ, Byunbyun Arō Doraibu): Bun Violet generates a powerful purple and yellow energy arrow as he draws the trigger on the Controller. Once charged, he releases the arrow projectile that pierces a hole through its opponent on impact, destroying it. It's shown that this Arrow is faster than a single soundwave.
• Byun Snipe (ビュンシギ, Byun Shigi): Bun Violet charges the Controller's muzzle and delivers a point-blank ranged energy shot that pierces any object in its path and hits the opponent.

Portrayal

Sakito Homura is portrayed by Yu Miyazawa (宮澤 佑, Miyazawa Yū), who previously portrayed Alpha in Kamen Rider Gotchard. As Bun Violet, his suit actor is Masato Tsutamune (蔦宗 正人, Tsutamune Masato).

Etymology

Sakito's name continues the vehicle pun theming of Boonboomger, as if addressing him formally by surname first “Homura Sakito”, it can be interpreted as a play on "Formula" (フォーミュラ, Fōmyura) and "Circuit" (サーキット, Sākitto), a location where designated Formula One racing can take place.

Sakito also carries the classic Sentai trope of having the name of a character's Ranger color within their name, if addressed formally by surname again, Homura Sakito, his name literally has the Japanese word for "purple" (紫, Murasaki) in it.
