Saizou Kirigakure (霧隠 才蔵) is one of five famous ninja. He is the ancestor of Saizou, NinjaBlue of the Kakurangers.
History[]
Long ago, during the Warring States period, Saizou Kirigakure fought alongside Sasuke Sarutobi, Seikai Miyoshi, Jiraiya, and Tsuruhime. One Yokai he fought personally was Amikiri, whose right arm he severed in a sword duel, an act which she would later seek revenge on his descendant for.

Hundreds of years later, his spirit, alongside the spirits of his allies, appeared before their modern day descendants Sasuke, Saizou, and Tsuruhime after Sasuke and Saizou pulled their swords out of the earth. Despite his skepticism of his descendant, Kirigakure gave Saizou his Doron Changer, allowing him to become NinjaBlue, but not without some minor chastising. TV STORY-Ep. 1: We Are Ninja
He later appeared with his allies before Seikai TV STORY-Ep. 2: A Dangerous Lady and Jiraiya TV STORY-Ep. 3: American Ninja on separate occasions.
As foreseen in the Kakuranger manga created by the youkai Mujina, an apparition of Saizou Kirigakure randomly appeared running past the Kakurangers in the parallel dimension, quickly disappearing as soon as he came before they were set upon by assassins while his descendant was unable to transform. - He is based on the original Saizou Kirigakure, who was a Japanese folk hero.
- Prior to Kakuranger, he was mentioned in episode 24 of Sun Vulcan as member of the Sanada Ten Braves, alongside teammate Sarutobi Sasuke.
- When a dark clone of Baron Nero is created Shuriken Sentai Ninninger vs. ToQger The Movie: Ninjas in Wonderland, Dark Doctor Mavro gives him the name of "Saizou Nero Kirigakure" in tribute to this ninja.
