Saburo Yatsude (an unknown Toei staff member wearing a disguise) as "Giraffe Zyuman"

Saburo Yatsude (八手 三郎 Yatsude Saburō) also credited as Saburo Hatte in the adapted Power Rangers series, is a collective pen name used by Toei Company television producers when contributing to their various anime and tokusatsu series. The use of the pen name has been used throughout Super Sentai as well and has somewhat become an inside joke in the company.

In April 3, 2016, a Toei staff member had accepted an interview in the name of Saburo Yatsude. According to the staff, Saburo will change their face and age when the times are changing.[1]

Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger[]

In Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger, he was referred by the characters as Saburo Hatte instead of being referred by them as Saburo Yatsude. Nevertheless, he acts as the overarching antagonist of the show itself. At first, his control over the world that acts as the aforementioned show's setting had went unnoticed by the characters themselves. However, as time went on, Nobuo Akagi had gradually realized that he himself as well as his fellow Akibarangers and the Blatantly Evil Marketing Firm B are being manipulated by Saburo himself. The Akibarangers' newly gained awareness of Saburo's existence had, in turn, motivated Saburo to attempt to quickly cancel the aforementioned show by abruptly ending any and all of the series' storylines as well as forcing the Akibarangers to kill Doctor Z and Delu-Knight in a rather rushed final battle. Saburo himself had even caused a giant "The End" subtitle to appear as part of his attempt to hinder ©Na's attempt to drag her organization's conflict against the Akibarangers for 6 months before he was forced to suddenly intervene off-screen. Then, in the aforementioned show's final episode, Saburo had used the promise of making a second season to trick the Akibarangers into doing a recap episode in order to cover his losses.

However, some time after the events of the aforementioned show, Saburo had, somehow, ended up becoming hospitalized with his then critical condition enabling ©Na, who had managed to enter his homeworld, to manipulate him into creating Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger Season Tsuu with her end goal being to change the Super Sentai Series into the Super ©Na Series albeit she is forced to ensure that he himself stays alive so that her changes won't get automatically erased once he has died. Shockingly, ©Na's plan was hijacked by Chigauyo Productions, a rival company of Toei Company, where a spy that said company had sent to keep watch on Saburo himself had managed to manipulate him into giving away the Super Sentai Series' time slot to the aforementioned company. As a result, ©Na was forced to team up with Saburo Hatte himself before Saburo then proceeds to use Tsu Shogun's body as a medium for him to use in order to communicate with the Akibarangers. Eventually, thanks to ©Na's and Saburo Hatte's help, the Akibarangers had managed to defeat Chigauyo Productions' hero, Prism Ace, which had, in turn, finally restored the Super Sentai Series back to normal before Saburo himself was finally well enough to be discharged from the hospital that he was staying in.
