Ryuzaburo Ikenami (池波 龍三郎 Ikenami Ryūzaburō) is Ryunosuke's father and the previous Shinken Blue, his teacher in both the ways of kabuki and bushido. He participated in the previous defeat of Doukoku Chimatsuri, returning to his former life after the death of Masataka Shiba, the previous Shinken Red.
History[]
When confronting Doukoku, Ryuuzaburo and the others Shinkenger went in battle. The Shinkengers were no match for Doukoku and almost got wiped out, with Ryuuzaburo sustaining major injuries after being shot in the chest with flaming arrows. Doukoku thought he won but Masataka used the last of his life to use the Sealing character. Ryuuzaburo and the others healed from their injuries and went back to their life to teach their children (minus Kyoko) the way of the Bushido.
