He then transforms into GozyuTyranno and battles Combatant Ai alongside GozyuLeon. Soon after, he appeared before Hoeru, livid, as his revered TegaSword was being used a shovel. Ryugi uses his strength to throw boulders and a tree at Hoeru, forcing him to leave. Ryugi ends up finding treasure from the hole Hoeru had made, which he brought to the tallying but was the first to be knocked out at third place. During the Final Round, while Hoeru and Rikuo are dealing with the ground enemies, he forms TegaSword Yellow to fight Cassios Beia piloting Ayayser Crossandra, eventually destroying them.
The following day, Ryugi becomes the new manager of Cafe Half Century, rechristening it "TegaSword Village" to watch over Hoeru and keep things more centralized. Rikuo and Ryugi returned everything Treasure Hunt had stolen to the police behind Hoeru's back, who had won the Treasure Hunt No.1.

Shoko asks Ryugi to return to his family, but Hoeru and Ryugi run back to TegaSword Village.
They make it back to TegaSword Village, only to find that Shoko got there before them. Hoeru asks Ryugi to help take the chain that Manners No.1 put on him off, but Shoko freezes Hoeru and Kinjiro for not referring Ryugi as a master. Shoko asks Ryugi to come back to his family again, but Ryugi declared that he will never return to his home ever again, and he will never follow his father’s footsteps. Shoko pleads for Ryugi to return to his family, but Ryugi goes out to look for Manners No.1.
While Manners No.1 was putting chains on people, Ryugi shows up, and challenges him to a Number One Battle. They finish the first three rounds, but as soon as they were about to start the last round, they are stopped by Shoko, who transforms into Red Racer and fights Manners No.1, but Manners No.1 chains Shoko. Ryugi and Hoeru join the fight, and Hoeru is freed from the chain. Ryugi finishes Manners No.1 with TyrannoHanmer50, and he wins Manners Number One Battle.
After the Number One Battle, Shoko, freed from Manners No.1’s chain, once again asks Ryugi to return to his family, but Ryugi declines it again, stating that he will not return. Shoko starts to become furious, and the Carranger ring starts to glow purple. She transforms into Carranger and attacks Ryugi, causing him to detransform.
Shoko has transformed into Bōsō Red Racer, and she’ll take Ryugi’s Sentai Rings away, and drag him back to his family.
TV STORY-Ep. 13: Housekeeper Run! Ryugi's Manners
Ryugi, along with the other Gozyugers, were able to return to TegaSword Village after Shoko transformed into Bōsō Red Racer. Both Ryugi and Hoeru wonder what happened to Shoko after her unexpected transformation. They look at the TV to see that Shoko is running around town in a berserk state. TegaSword possesses Saori’s body, and tells the Gozyugers that the Carranger Sentai Ring has gone corrupted because Shoko's innate desire and frustration had caused its power to kick into overdrive. TegaSword even admitted that this is the first time this scenario even happened to those who bore the Ring Contract before he leaves Saori's body. Ryugi glances worriedly at the TegaSword figurine in the café.
After Ryugi tells the Gozyugers about his past about his family and Shoko, Sumino unexpectedly realizes that Ryugi was rich, and she starts to suck up to him to get some clout from him, with Kinjiro also calling Ryugi with his own nickname, much to the monk’s chagrin. Rikuo then senses Shoko around with his super hearing and informed the Gozyuger members about this, prompting Ryugi to face her alone to settle things once and for all. Ryugi confronts Shoko at a roadside, and Shoko asks Ryugi to hand her his Sentai Rings, but Ryugi refuses. The other Gozyugers arrive as well, but there are several other civilians at the scene as well. Kinjiro suggested Ryugi that they should find a way to move the battlefield out of the city to not endanger civilians, an idea that Ryugi agrees with. The Gozyugers start running away from Shoko, who yelled at them that running on the streets is dangerous.
The Gozyugers arrive at an empty quarry. Shoko also arrives and attacks the Gozyugers. She uses her Stop ability to freeze all but Ryugi. Because of her transformation into Bōsō Red Racer, the Gozyugers remain permanently frozen this time. Ryugi and Shoko fight each other. Ryugi wins over Shoko, causing Shoko to detransform, and the other Gozyugers are free from Shoko’s stop ability. Mr. Shining Knife & Mrs. Sweet Cake enlarge themselves. Shoko warns Ryugi to back away, but Ryugi summons TegaSword Yellow, and he, along with Shoko, are teleported inside the cockpit. While Ryugi is able to get a few hits on Mr. Shining Knife & Mrs. Sweet Cake, their love makes them grow even larger than TegaSword. The two attempt to crush TegaSword Yellow under their foot, worrying Shoko that they won't win at this rate. Ryugi replied to Shoko to believe in him, as she remembers all of her childhood memories with Ryugi, she changes her mind and starts cheering for him. As if to answer the duo’s conviction, TegaSword calls Ryugi by his name and asks him to fight together, something which Ryugi gladly does so, singing praises that he'll follow TegaSword anywhere. The two of them use Lord TegaSword: Praising Dinosaur Palm finisher on Mr. Shining Knife and Mrs. Sweet Cake, tearing a hole in their body before seemingly destroying them. A victorious Ryugi then announced himself as the Number One in having a Believing Heart before happily praising TegaSword once more.
After the battle, Shoko realizes that Ryugi doesn't need her protection any longer, and gives him the Carranger Sentai Ring. She promises to have more faith in Ryugi and try to convince his father to do the same, with Ryugi also telling Shoko to take care of herself. A saddened Shoko and the resolute Ryugi then goes their separate ways.

TV STORY-Ep. 16: True Savior No.1!
A Bitter End & Departure[]
After declared the winner of the Ometenashi No.1 Battle, the other Gozyugers ask about Ryugi's wellbeing. However, to their surprise (minus Mashiro), the monk then offers a piece of paper to Hoeru, which was a formal declaration of a duel. When asked why, Ryugi says that in the summer battle he learned that TegaSword's life wasn't absolute, and he would never want to witness his demise a second time. Ryugi also insists that if they don't hurry to collect the Sentai Rings, they'll lose TegaSword again. While Hoeru accepted Ryugi's challenge, the stray reminded Ryugi that in his current state, he cannot win against him. Nevertheless, Ryugi's choice was final as he transforms into GozyuTyranno. With no other choice, Hoeru transforms directly into Wild GozyuWolf and their duel commences. Both Gozyugers battled fiercely. Mashiro commented that the other Gozyugers must steel their resolve that one day, they'll also battle each other for the Sentai Rings like the fight Hoeru and Ryugi were currently engaged in. While Ryugi's sheer strength did manage to overpower Hoeru with his strength in certain stretches of the battle, Hoeru was still able to hold his own, allowing him to retake lost ground.
Ryugi leaving the team
Alas, Hoeru successfully overpowered the monk and announced that Ryugi is his prey. He finally uses the Finish Finger to quickly defeat the Monk, voiding his Ring Contract with TegaSword, causing his rings to roll towards Hoeru. As the Announcer announced Hoeru's victory half-heartedly, Hoeru remained uneasy by Ryugi's loss. Ryugi claims Hoeru is strong indeed and leaves the rest to him, the other Gozyugers question whether it's truly the end. Ryugi tells them that he's discarding his ego and claimed it'll be fine as long as someone collects all the rings, even if it's not him. Ryugi then dons his hood for the first time as he walked down the hill in sorrow, lamenting that at the end of the day, he's nothing but one of many Ring Bearers that TegaSword had chosen for this battle to be Number One. As the other Gozyugers looked Ryugi's disappearing visage in sorrow, the GozyuTyranno Ring suddenly floats into the air and is sent through the sky in a flash of light. As the light dies down, the GozyuTyranno Ring is in the hands of a new, chosen user.

Ryugi's Resolve & Rejoining the Gozyugers[]
Ryugi regains his Ring Contact
Hoeru tells Ryugi to come and help them, pulling him but Ryugi refuses. He tells them that he is no longer a Gozyuger while Rikuo informs him that Kinjiro, Sumino and other members of the hospital have been captured by the No One, Ryugi tells him that he can longer save anyone and even without him, the rings will be gathered eventually, with or without him the world won't change. Hoeru finally sees that this isn't the Ryugi he knows, asking for money from Rikuo and giving it to Ryugi, claiming it is him paying his tab whilst claiming there is no reason for them both seeing each other again as the stray walks away, Rikuo asks him if he is gonna keep on like a yes-man his whole life. Angered by their words, Ryugi yells and asks how he should live his life, as a voice tells him to stop living. It was Rei, claiming he has missed this hospital and nothing has changed asking Rikuo if this is the same between them both. Just then, Rei engages with the GozyuTyranno ring and becomes the third GozyuTyranno. Ryugi, Rikuo and Hoeru are all in shock. When asked what he did to Assam, Rei says that his Infinity Ring devoured and killed him before charging at Rikuo without warning, Hoeru engages and transforms into GozyuWolf to stop him and Rikuo does the same and transforms into GozyuLeon to fight the new Tyranno with Ryugi still in shock.
Rei realizes that the person the No One is possessing is Ryuto Bakugami, Ryugi is shocked that this is the case. Rei wants the director to remember him, calling him cruel for how he was treated, summoning the TyrannoHammer50 to try and take the No One and the Director down, suddenly Ryugi heroically gets up to stop him but fails due to the Tyranno Ring giving Rei superhuman strength. Grabbing him by the collar and throwing him to the wall, Rei tells Ryugi how he started as a surgeon, working for the director for so long before dropping him after he deemed Rei worthless. Rei is about to finish the No One but Ryugi holds him, claiming if he lets such a cruel father hold him back, he'll never be free. Rei throws him to the other side of the hallway and tells him to watch the death of his dreaded father, but Ryugi refuses. Ryugi doesn't want his father to be done in, he claimed he left home to carry out his will and no one else's, he wished to change the world. Miraculously, the ring shines and Ryugi tries to gain command over it, wanting to fight with it once more. Suddenly, the GozyuTyranno ring forces itself off of Rei finger, de-transforming him and flies towards Ryugi as he re-claims his lost ring once and for all. Rei, annoyed, glances at Sumino with her finally realizing that he is the man with the grey eyes and he escapes. Ryugi regains his Ring Contract as his TegaSword appears, engaging and transforming into the true GozyuTyranno, and the final No.1 Battle begins!
Back at the Bakugami hospital, Ryuto recieves Ryugi's ID and his letter of resignation, still in disbelief that Ryugi chose to be a Goyzuger rather than become the heir to the Bakugami family. At TegaSword Village, Saori and Aoi are enjoying Ryugi's omurice again and that they were glad they didn't find a replacement manager. Ryugi comes up Hoeru and tells him he can keep the Ohranger, Abaranger and Carranger rings he lost in their duel and that he will start from scratch. Hoeru says he wouldn't have given it even if he asked, saying he cannot afford the omurice and asks him to set up another tab. Ryugi with joy, says to TegaSword that he will support him even more than before, becoming TegaSword's doctor.

Personality[]
Ryugi is a "TegaSword devotee" who thinks that serving TegaSword is the best happiness. His wish is for TegaSword's happiness and will do anything for it. He is naïve and moves very fast, but he is very strong. Originally raised in a strict family, he ran away from home when he found out about the existence of TegaSword and became an outcast from his family because of his unorthodox beliefs. Ryugi is devoted towards TegaSword to a degree that he treats piloting TegaSword Yellow in a fight is a blessing while he will get easily enraged if anyone's speech or behaviour has insulted the god, especially towards Hoeru, who often misuses the mecha for other purposes like using TegaSword Red as a shovel and standing on it to water the plants, though he has no complaint for others to ride on TegaSword to fight, only showing a small degree for being boot out from the cockpit when Hoeru hijacks the TegaSword to finish the Ai.
Ryugi's favorite things include TegaSword, cilantro, and plums
. He dislikes people who wrong TegaSword and clogged sewers.
