Rio Komiya (小宮璃央 Komiya Rio) is a Japanese model and actor who portrayed Juru Atsuta in Mashin Sentai Kiramager. He is represented by Platinum Productions.
Biography[]
In 2020, he was cast in Mashin Sentai Kiramager as Juru Atsuta/Kiramai Red.
In 2024, Komiya portrayed Aqua Hoshino in a stage-play adaptation of Oshi no Ko,
Personal life[]
- He was awarded the semi-grand prix SNOW award at the boy's high school Mr. Con in 2018.
- His hobby is cooking.
- Currently, he is working as SNOWBOY, PR ambassador for the app "SNOW".'

Health issues[]
On March 31, 2020, Toei Productions reported during a press conference that Komiya had tested positive for COVID-19, after Komiya reported losing his sense of taste on the 24th,[1] and had stopped filming the weekend of the 28th. On April 4, 2020, a director tweeted out that Rio had recovered and that filming of Kiramager would resume. [2] On April 9, 2020, Rio confirmed via his Twitter that he was officially discharged from the hospital, however, he would still remain home for at least two weeks.[3]Despite his recovery, Japan's state of emergency regarding the COVID-19 pandemic put the show on hiatus from May 17, 2020 to June 14, 2020.
