Dairanger[]
As a Dairanger[]
Of the Dairangers, she has the most powerful psychic senses. She has mastered deadly wind power. It's not known if Master Kaku was her blood relative or if 'uncle' was just a title. At the heart a gentle, kind soul, Rin is also terribly shy. Rin's heart was fierce and strong. She was very intelligent and difficult to con because one would have to be very sneaky to get past her. She loved her teammates, her Uncle Kaku, her family, with the warmth and strength most people do not have to spare.
A Japanese schoolgirl ignored Rin's shyness to welcome her to Japan. Rin's Japanese was nearly perfect and though she had left China, she was the person on her team who seemed to have the most attachments back home. For example there was her little brother, Roudoshi Guhon. At first he embarrassed the heck out of her, however she loved him very much, but he was the one who had designed the Dairangers' battle equipment and their suits which they summoned with the ki-spark of their will. Rin went into considerable shock when she found out her great uncle was engaged to be to a twenty-year-old woman, but was ultimately happy for him.

Lipstick Songstress[]
At one point, she formed a personal vendetta against Lipstick Songstress when she kidnapped her friend Megumi (whom Rin was nervous about befriending because of her secret identity as a Dairanger) to add to her Hell Choir, with Rin blaming herself for a delayed transformation leading to Ryo's injury and Megumi's kidnapping. Angered, she wanted to prove herself, though Shoji did not believe in her. Rin's strong kiryoku led her to have visions of the Lai-Lai Jewels TV STORY-Ep. 5: The Jewels Have Come, as the blood of the Dai ran most smoothly in her veins. Even when she was most uncertain of herself, she would brave through anything. TV STORY-Ep. 6: Break Through the Wind She reassured Ryo when he was upset over losing to Jin TV STORY-Ep. 26: A Bad, Bad, Bad Guy and helped Shoji out when there was a girl he had a terrible crush on.
Daigo & Rin (Episode 5)
When the 3 Stupid Gorma convinced Shoji to throw the baseball game, it was Rin who doubted their word. It was also she who brought out the big guns in the game, arriving at the plate dressed in a skirt which showed her thighs and rattled the Gorma pitcher thoroughly. TV STORY-Ep. 24: The 3 Stooges' Super Baseball! And though it was hard at first, she eventually allowed Kou to live with her, not knowing he was really the mysterious Kibaranger. It was hard living with him because he tended to touch her breasts (twice) and look up her skirt. TV STORY-Ep. 17: The New Hero Has Arrived TV STORY-Ep. 18: The Secret Byakko-chan She only knew he was probably an orphan and an obnoxious one at that. She eventually took to mothering Kou more than tolerating him, loving the kid as he tended to grow on you.
Media Magician[]
She once met this handsome photographer named Shoichi Takamura while returning from shopping. Together they nursed an injured bird, and he convinced her to become a idol. She was very successful, resulting in numerous photoshoots and magazines and even a song released. The other Dairangers (and even Master Kaku) found out, teasing her about things like her sudden weight loss. Unbeknownst to her, he was the Gorma known as Media Magician who was siphoning her qi and transmitting it to humans, who would be transformed into beastly mobs to do the Gorma's building with their own qi. He battled the Dairangers and Rin patched him up. As a result, he fell in love with her. He refused to kill her despite the request of Lieutenant Colonel Gara, costing his life but empowering Rin through her rage. Embracing Kou[]
Later on Christmas, it was Kou’s birthday but he had just lost his mother after they were briefly reunited. Even though she could barely muster a positive emotion as well, she encouraged him to be in high spirits and had a lovely Christmas dinner together and were satisfied to know that at least they had each other. 50 Years Later[]
Years after they won the war, she at the age of 68 saw her successor/granddaughter fight a New Gorma in Dairen'Oh. TV STORY-Final Ep.: Let's Go!

Years later, Rin fought alongside not only her own team, but every single Sentai Ranger in existence, against the Empire of Zangyack when it attacked the Earth in the Great Legend War. He gathered all the Rangers together and gave them the order to sacrifice their powers to wipe out the first invasion's armada. An iteration of HououRanger fought as part of her five-man team in the Chou Super Hero Taisen tournament of the Game World, competing for the title of Kamen Sentai Gorider, with HououRanger as candidate for Momorider. Rin joined the Super Sentai Strongest Battle as a member of International Team, but lost the competition either in the first round against the Support Team off-screen or won against them and lost in the second round against Martial Artist Team off-screen.

A manifestation of HououRanger alongside her team was summoned after Zenkaizer used the Dairanger Sentai Gear which allowed the Zenkaigers to use the Dairangers' Dairanrod to fight Boxing World, with Juran wielding ShishiRanger's Dairanrod with the Sasumata blade head and Vroon wielding TenmaRanger's Dairanrod with the Monk's Spade blade head. Personality[]
Rin is introverted, polite, and a very intelligent girl. She is very powerful and skilled with her Heavenly Wind powers, weapons, and fighting style. Rin is also super creative and super determined as proven when she was determined to fight Akomaru and the 3 Priestesses of Hell to ensure they never got their hands on Byakkoshinken. Rin is also the most mature of her teammates, though she enjoys having fun with them. When Takamura died, Rin was hurt and enraged at Gara and punched her hard. Showing how Rin is protective, independent and strong-willed.
She loved her grandfather, her family, and her friends and is shown to be extremely compassionate such as trying to save Megumi from Lipstick Songstress and protecting Kou after he lost his mother. Rin also is a very powerful wielder of Kiryoku and has amazing proficiency at it before her teammates. Rin also is impossible to corrupt as when Media Magician tried to make her evil by taking advantage of her love in his human form, Shoichiro Takamura, it turns out that Rin genuinely loved him and had zero vanity.

Multiple copies of HououRanger were created by Copy Empress using photos she took of the Dairangers. The first was a human clone created during a day at the pool; while a second was created alongside the first in order to double-team the respective Dairanger. Like the other Dairangers, Rin possesses Qi-power, a mystical energy power. Rin's Qi-Power allows her to control Winds and the power of the Phoenix. Rin can create wind breezes and tornadoes, in and out of Ranger form. She also possesses enough Qi to blow up rocks when not in control of her emotions. - Qi Power (気力 Kiryoku): A basic attack possessed by all six Dairangers where they project a wave of force from their hands.
- Heavenly Wind Star Straight Line Tornado: Rin's signature attack. Using her Kiryoku, Rin generates a tornado that sends her opponents flying.
- Heavenly Wind Star Big Wheel Blade Whirlwind Slash: Channeling her Kiryoku into her Dairinken, Rin slashes her opponent with it.

- Wind and Storm Control: Rin can use her Kiryoku to control Wind and Storms, she conjured powerful breezes and tornados made of ethereal energy which can destroy anything and blow away her threats. Rin also uses Phoenix-Fist, a variation of Eagle Claw. Its a fighting style that is graceful, powerful, agile and elegant.

The HououRanger Ranger Key (ホウオウレンジャーレンジャーキー Hōō Renjā Renjā Kī) is Rin's personal Ranger Key and what became of her powers after she along with the rest of the 34 Super Sentai sacrificed their powers to end the Great Legend War.
This key along with the majority of the Ranger Keys were collected by the Red Pirates and later used by the Gokaigers. The HououRanger Ranger Key was mainly used by Ahim de Famille (Gokai Pink), who used it to fight as HououRanger.
