Rhian is from the Planet 0117 of the A47 Galaxy. After an encounter with the Morphinaut she cycled through multiple Red Ranger powers across time and space and eventually became the Red Squadron Ranger of the Squadron Rangers.
Later, after sacrificing her Morphin Heart to save the Phantom Ranger, Rhian became the Red Emissary, an ethereal entity who represents the Morphin Masters. Adopting the appearance of Power Rangers respectively colored red, she was not shown to have distinct forms but instead shifted through the forms of various Red Rangers throughout history.
History[]
Prophecy[]
As seen by the philosopher, Sire Lentinvous, sixteen thousand years ago, as he witnessed the beginning of the universe in a vision, the Morphin Masters created the Emissaries from the light of a star, each one a different primary countenance. The purpose given to these Messengers was to spread peace & tranquility throughout the universe. The Messengers existed outside of time, & could view the entirety of time in a non linear fashion, allowing them to see into the past, and somewhat into the future. Because they also existed outside of the natural flow of time, they were effectively immortal in that they could not die naturally.
Meeting the Morphinaut[]
Rhian overheard a conversation between Kartor and Vivali, who talked about how Masterforge Namize had fallen but there was security footage that showed what really happened. She convinced her friends Phiro and Telosi to investigate the footage before evacuating with like the rest of the city. The three went to Frontier Lab to see if Ori could get Rhian into the system to find the video of Namize going offline.
Unfortunately, the power to the lab went out as the energy was being diverted to the planet's main arch for the Ascension, so Ori asks Rhian and the rest to use their Master Hearts to power the computer as a backup generator. As Rhian hacked the security database, she & her friends saw in horror what happened to Namize. An unidentified alien force invaded the planet and the people were attacked by an army of demon-like creatures. The team questioned why the Morphin Masters would leave half of those people to die by shutting down the Namize Arch.
After leaving the Lab, they all see meteors like the ones on Namize & they race to the Master Arch that is ready for evacuation. Before they can leave, they see a figure that shoots out of the portal and crashes onto the ground. The five teenagers go to rescue the figure, whom Ori identifies as the Morphinaut, whose body was crackling with Grid energy. The Morphinaut told the teenagers, "He's Coming!" before collapsing.

Becoming a Ranger[]
Rhian and her friends morph for the first time
As demons start to invade their city, the teens take the Morphinaut with them and escape through the east promenade. The team later found that the creatures were repelled by the grid energy & realized that the creatures were trying to overload the Master Arch while the Morphinaut identifies one of the attackers as Dark Specter. Ori activated the Arch to prevent the creatures from reaching it, which leaves the teens & the Morphinaut stuck in the middle of the invasion. As they threw the Morphinaut & continued to fight the creatures, the teens realized that one of the creatures was Telosi's brother Xev, whom they later saved with Grid energy. The Morphinaut explained to them that Dark Specter wanted to destroy the Morphin Grid by reaching the Arch.
After they finally arrived at a lab, Rhian tried to tap into the planetary sensors to see if Dark Specter's forces were coming. Realizing that the Arch that Ori was trying to activate at Frontier Lab could be used by Dark Specter, they decided to help the Morphinaut control his grid energy by sharing it with each other. The six teens use their Morphin Hearts to help Ori create an energy surge & siphon the excess energy from the Morphinaut onto them. This results in each of them getting a full-body costume made out of grid energy, with Rhian taking the morphing into what would be known as the Red Mighty Morphin Ranger. Now with their new forms, the Morphinaut tells the team to go to Ori's Proto-Arch & destroy it after using it while Dark Specter sends more of his forces. COMIC STORY- Power Rangers Universe Issue 2
Becoming an Emissary[]
The Emissaries eventually became guardians of the Morphin Grid itself, & would observe each team of Power Rangers, new & old across time itself.
Shattered Grid[]
During the events of Shattered Grid, Zordon personally besought the Emissaries Three to intervene & stop Lord Drakkon from stealing the Morphers of the numerous Ranger teams across different times to enhance his own & his armies. The Emissaries listened to Zordon's pleading, but ultimately dismissed his concerns, believing Drakkon to be no threat to the Grid & that the Rangers Zordon chose would be able to stop him before sending Zordon back to his reality.
The Red Emissary reassured her fellow Emissaries that Drakkon was no threat, but they were proven wrong when Drakkon fused numerous Morpher power sets to his own, ultimately allowing him to enter the Morphin Grid itself. The Emissaries tried to stop Drakkon themselves, but were defeated, allowing the tyrant to steal the Heart of a Morphin Master & destroy the multiverse, & create his own ideal reality where he was God. The Emissaries were cast out of space & time, where they came across the essence of Tommy Oliver, a version of Drakkon from Zordon's reality who never strayed from the path of good.
Because Drakkon's insecurities were weakening his hold over his new universe, the Emissaries were to regain their power & sent Tommy back to Drakkon's world & reawaken his friends memories of their true lives. Tommy then introduced the Emissaries to his teammates. The Emissaries explained their role in protecting the Grid & their failure to prevent Drakkon's rise to godhood, before explaining alongside Tommy how to stop Drakkon & restore the multiverse by reclaiming the Heart of the Master from him. Ultimately, Zordon's Rangers were able to defeat Drakkon & take back the Heart, consigning Drakkon to his crumbling reality in the process.
The Emissaries pulled Tommy & his friends into the Morphin Grid & instructed them on how to use the Heart of the Master to restore reality back to as close to its original form as possible, while warning them there would be changes due to the extent of the "Shattering". They also told them they would not remember the events that led up to its collapse & restoration, due to the temporal paradox being impossible for their mortal minds to contain. Ultimately, the teens remade reality back to what it was, undoing the destruction Drakkon had wreaked upon it.
Empyreals[]
The Red Emissary ceased the argument of the Emissaries & bid her brethren to inspect the new reality piece by piece, to ensure there were no threats to again shatter the Grid. The Red Emissary later observed the struggles of the RPM Rangers against Venjix's latest attempts to destroy the dome protecting Corinth, the Rangers triumphing & ensuring the last free city remained standing, before moving on to witness the Time Force Rangers defeating a Mutant in the past.
Soon, the Red Emissary found herself in the crosshairs of the Empyreals, as Zartus bound the Empyreals to himself in servitude & tasked them with finding & killing the remaining Emissaries before they would begin cleansing the universe of unworthy worlds.
Shortly thereafter, the Red Emissary was investigating Lord Drakkon's broken reality, which had now become his prison & there the Orange Empyreal ambushed them before tearing the Red Emissary in half with its bare hands, killing her. After a failed battle against the Orange Empyreal on the planet Hartunia, Drakkon was able to teach Trini to successfully resonate with the Red Emissary's remains to find the location of the Yellow Emissary, who warned her not to seek them out as they would only bring death in their wake. The Omega Rangers then set a course at the Emissary's location to finally gain the answers they sought in hopes of stopping the monsters. COMIC STORY- Power Rangers (Boom! Studios) Issue 9
Eventually, the Green Empyreal was beaten by the Omega Rangers & destroyed. However, while the Red Emissary is yet to return as her kindred, the Blue Emissary did after the destruction of their opposite number. COMIC STORY- Power Rangers (Boom! Studios) Issue 15
Personality[]
Rhian was rebellious, prone to disobey orders to get what she wanted, like spying on her mom and convince her friends to hack a computer. She was also shown to be very witty and sarcastic. Rhian is the designated leader of her friend group and this transferred to her role as a Red Ranger, as her team immediately asked her what was their plan after morphing for the first time. She tried to calm Telosi when he was angry by the supossed loss of Xev and rushed to save the Morphinaut when he crashed on Earth instead of staying at the arch with the rest of her people.

Legendary Ranger Key[]
The Red Squadron Ranger Key.
The Red Squadron Ranger Key is Rhian's personal Ranger Key. Because the Squadron Rangers are now Rangers of the Emissaries, Gosei seems to possess their powers via the Legendary Ranger Keys. This key is mainly used by Troy Burrows (Super Megaforce Red) who uses it to fight as the Red Squadron Ranger.

- Rhian's name comes from Ryan Jones, which was the name the Red Squadron Ranger was given during the production of Super Megaforce.[1]
- She is the first female Red Ranger in the Boom! Studios timeline and the third one to appear in the comics, as Britt and Grace Sterling appeared before her.
- She is the first female Red Ranger to have a male Sentai counterpart.
- It appears that the Red Emissary can change her gender depending on the Ranger form she takes, & can possibly change the gender of the Ranger form she is in, as the Red Emissary can change into male versions of the Red Rangers.
- So far, the Red Emissary has not turned into the following Rangers: Red Wild West Ranger, Red Ninja Ranger, Galaxy Red, Red Wild Force Ranger, Red Wind Ranger, Crimson Thunder Ranger, S.P.D.
