Rei Tachibana (立花 レイ Tachibana Rei) is a kind-hearted animal scientist whose goal is to create a device that allows people to communicate with animals. She is able to transform into DynaPink (ダイナピンク Daina Pinku) of the Dynamen.
About[]
Aside from being an animal scientist, Rei is also a competent fencer, usually bringing her rapier/saber in battle. She later becomes the frequent rival of Princess Chimera of the Jashinka Empire.
History[]
Dynaman[]
Becoming a Dynaman[]
Rei is first seen hopping into a man's motorcycle to chase a truck full of hostages of a mysterious creature. Then in an empty place, the two free the hostages before they are joined by other three men to fight some henchmen together, with Rei using her fencing skill. Later the henchmen reveal themselves as Tail Soldiers, while a mysterious creature who adresses himself as Crab Evo makes his presence known. Hokuto and the others do not have much power to fight them and get thrown under a cliff.
Some times later, Rei alongside the four people arrive safely into the Yumeno Invention Center to fulfill a request about each one's invention. The five are greeted by Kendo Robo, and later Kyutaro Yumeno with his sweet potato-powered train. Dr. Yumeno then takes them to the underground base called Dyna Station. They are explained about Tailed-People Clan Jashinka Empire before being given each one a Dyna Brace. They change into Dynamen (with Rei as DynaPink) and take on DyJupiter as ordered by Dr. Yumeno.
After DyJupiter launch Dyna Missiles into the Jashinka base and Gizmosquitos, the Dynamen greet Prince Megiddo and his army, and the two sides have a fight. The Dynamen finish the Tail Soldiers and DynaRed slashes one of Prince Megiddo's tail, before they finish Crab Evo with Super Dynamite.
As Crab Evo enlarges into Super Crab Evo, the Dynamen utilize vehicles stored in DyJupiter (with DynaPink riding Dyna Garry alongside DynaYellow) and combine into Kagaku Gattai Dyna Robo for the first time. Eventually, Dyna Robo destroy the Evolution Beast for good.

Pursuing Her Dream[]
While the Dynamen are fighting Rhino Evo on a volcano, Prince Megiddo interrupts the fight to seek revenge to DynaRed for slashing his tail before. Dyna with the other Dynamen are wiliing to aid DynaRed, only to fight the prince's bodyguards, Gira and Keel. Their fight is then halted by an erruption on the volcano.
When the children arrive at Yumeno Invention Center, one of them introduces herself to Rei as Emi. Rei, who is trying a device on a dog, also introduces herself while talking about researching a way to communicate with animals. Later on a training, Rei is seen doing a fencing training.
Later when fighting Prince Megiddo's army of tailed soldiers again, DynaPink bursts their eardrums using Pink Shocking Melody. TV STORY-Ep. 2: Warriors Who Chase Dreams
Maskman[]
The past Sentai assist the Maskmen against Igum Dragon.
With her teammates DynaBlack and DynaRed as well as Biomen Red1 and Green2, DynaPink came to the aid of the Maskmen against Princess Igum and the Igum Dragon.

Years later, Rei fought alongside not only her own team, but every single Sentai Ranger in existence, against the Empire of Zangyack when it attacked the Earth in the Great Legend War. After fighting against hundreds of Gomin and their Sugomin commanders, Akarenger noticed the fleet moving towards them. He gathered all the Rangers together and gave them the order to sacrifice their powers to wipe out the first invasion's armada. In Gokaiger Goseiger Super Sentai 199 Hero Great Battle, Rei is seen fighting in the Great Legend War. Some time during the Black Cross King's return, through the Ranger Keys, she tells the Gokaigers and Goseigers that she is sure the other Super Sentai will respond to their strength, she even tells them to explode their rage for the sake of the future's dreams. Farewell Space Pirates[]

Rei, alongside her team, among the majority of the Super Sentai heroes, was caught up in the "Super Hero Taisen" incident which eventually resulted in the Super Sentai teams and Kamen Riders joining forces to defeat both Dai-Zangyack and Dai-Shocker. The first 38 Sentai projected into Wild Tousai Shuriken King.
DynaPink appeared with her team among the first 38 Super Sentai whom collectively empowered Wild Tousai Shuriken King in its fight against the titanic Gillmarda, granting the Ninningers and Zyuohgers the power to perform the Zyuoh Ninnin Super Sentai Burst which destroyed Gillmarda with the combined power of all 40 Super Sentai. Super Sentai Strongest Battle[]
Rei joined the Super Sentai Strongest Battle as a member of Animal Lover Team. It’s unknown whether she participated in any of the matches, but her team lost the competition either in the first round against the Sports Team off-screen or won against them and lost in the second round against Leader Team off-screen.

A manifestation of DynaPink was summoned alongside her team by Zenkaizer through the Dynaman Sentai Gear which allowed him to perform DynaPink's Rose Finale attack against Stacaesar. TV STORY-No. 28-kai! Weekly Shonen Manga World of Great Illustrations!
DynaPink Returns
The manifestation of DynaPink and her team returned 18 episodes later which allowed Zenkaizer to use a parabolic Megaphone to defend against Bat World's Blood-Sucking Soundwave attack. TV STORY-No. 46-kai! A Little God Who Jumped Out!
Personality[]
Rei is feminine and elegant, she loves flowers and dresses too. She is also very a strong and skilled fencer as she always brings her fencing sword with her to defend herself. Rei is good friends with the other Dynaman and they work perfectly together. However, unlike the other Sentai Pinks before her (Peggy, Karen, Diane, Maria, Akira and Miki), Rei is a front-line warrior with a background in fighting, which is fencing. But she is still super good with agility, trickery and explosives. Rei is also really good at acting and disguising as she can wear a wedding dress and act like a beautiful bride among other roles.
Rei is also kind-hearted and compassionate. She is very determined to help all life around her and protect them from Jashinka. For example, she fought the Jashinka with her fencing sword after they kidnapped several brides. TV STORY-Ep. 13: The Kidnapped Brides

As DynaPink, Rei has enhanced strength, speed and agility. She wields several flower-themed weapons and has flower themed attacks, mainly roses. She can perform the Super Dynamite alongside her teammates. Her Rose Saber is a fencing saber with three pink roses on it while her Rose Shield is a shield with roses on it.

- Rei Tachibana is portrayed by Sayoko Hagiwara (萩原 佐代子 Hagiwara Sayoko).
- As DynaPink, her suit actor was Shinobu Shimura (志村 忍 Shimura Shinobu), who previously served as a suit actor for GogglePink. This would be the last time a stuntwoman played a Female Ranger during the Showa era.
- In the parody of Dynaman, Rei/Slojin is voiced by Kathleen Laskey, and later Angela Muto.
Design[]
- DynaPink has a spandex suit, with a white main body seen in the legs with a yellow inner stripe and two pink outer stripes along the sides, with the torso covered by a pink "short-sleeved" shirt with a yellow stripe down the middle and along the cuffs, similar to the appearance of a baseball jersey. Both her gloves and boots are pink in color; while a holster on the right side where she holds her DynaRod and a pin on her left torso with the Dynaman logo on it. Her belt surrounds her waist with a buckle in the shape of the DynaBrace. Her helmet is pink, with a black visor that falls down towards the bottom and a gray mouthpiece. The top of the helmet has a black stripe rising up triangularly with a yellow logo inside: the top with a "V" symbol (the Roman Numberal "5") and the letters "DP" (which stands for "DynaPink"). The logo and the visor are separated by a raised silver "lid" similar to a baseball cap.
Etymology[]
- Her given name means "beautiful" and "graceful" in Japanese.
- Tachibana (立花) is a common surname, which is a compound of tachi (立ち "to stand") and hana (花 "flower").

The DynaPink Ranger Key (ダイナピンクレンジャーキー Daina Pinku Renjā Kī) is Rei Tachibana's personal Ranger Key and what became of her powers after she along with the rest of the 34 Super Sentai sacrificed their powers to end the Great Legend War.
This key along with the majority of the Ranger Keys were collected by the Red Pirates and later used by the Gokaigers. The DynaPink Ranger Key was mainly used by Ahim de Famille (Gokai Pink), who used it to fight as DynaPink. It was also used by Gai Ikari (Gokai Silver) on one occasion.

Dynaman Avataro Gear
The Dynaman Avataro Gear allows any of the Core Donbrothers to change into their respective Dynamen Counterpart, it is used by Tsuyoshi Kijino to become DynaPink.

- She is the earliest Pink Ranger and female hero to appear as a Returning Legend in Gokaiger, as well as the only heroine to appear from any Sentai of the 70's and 80's.
- In the parody her name is "Slojin".
- Rei is the first female Ranger to wield a sword or a fencing sword.
