This article would be much better if it had a picture to go with it, another picture in addition to the one(s) it has, or a better version of a picture it has now. If you have one, won't you upload it?

Ranger Keys as toys are designed after the prop version used by the Gokaigers to transform (Gokai Change) into past rangers. They can be inserted into the Mobilates toy or other toys. See "uses".

List by Release

One-Click

One-Click Ranger Keys were released only once altogether in a set. They were fully painted and had a button on the right side. This button, when pressed, flips the legs of the "figure mode" to reveal the "key mode".

Deluxe Sets

Deluxe Sets or DX set keys are fully painted with key bow stickers already attached.

Candy Toys

Candy Toys are toys boxed with candies and sold in racks in Bandai Japan and Bandai Asia territories. They come with one lemon tablet candy. The keys in the candy toy set are painted. However, the black area between the legs is a sticker included in the package.

Gashapon

Gashapon Ranger Keys are sold through Gashapon/Gatch Capsule Machines, which sell them at between 2 to 3 tokens as cost. They require assembly and have no metal pin hinges. In most series, the chests are unpainted and require the application of stickers included in the set. Key bows also require application of stickers. Unlike the candy toys, however, the gap between the legs is already readily painted a gloss black, needing no sticker application.

Gashapon Series EX

Gashapon Legend Ranger Key Set

This set, while composed of thirty Gashapon keys, in principle, is a premium set with an exclusive box. It's not released in Gashapon machines. The idea of the set is to finish off any keys not included in any previous series and complete several teams. It rounds up the Goggle V, Maskmen, Turborangers, Dairangers, Ohrangers and Megarangers.

Terminologies

These are terms used in reference to Ranger Keys and used in this article:

  • Exclusive - a key is not available in any other series but the sole one it appears in.
  • Special Key - this refers to the key blade- a key produces not its regular sound in the Mobilates but rather the call "Special Ranger Key" and a special description.
  • Metallic - this refers to the key body- a key is entirely painted in a basic metallic color.
  • Sparkly - for gashapon keys, also referred to as metallic keys but aren't entirely covered in metallic paint, but rather in pearlized versions of the original color. The chest stickers and key bow stickers are also 'faceted' and thus sparkle.
  • Legend- anything released post-Gokaiger
